Does anybody know if arb is based on a weighted WAR scale in the new CBA? Thought I remembered seeing that and I was looking for confirmation yesterday online with no success.

This is a pretty realistic off-season expectation, is that a good enough team to win the division though? That, I am not so sure about. Depends which version of Robert, TA and Yoan show up.

I'm afraid it's a bleak future for the White Sox, the 2023 SP and OF free agent class that represent upgrades from current players are gonna get paid, the Sox don't do that. The Mid-Tier guys are pretty bleh. Pollock will exercise his option, Robert in CF, RF I expect them to call up Colas sooner than later because Jerry already spent to acquire him, Engel likely non-tendered as his arb amount will likely be higher than his value. Maybe Conforto ruined his market enough by being a moron that the Sox can afford a bridge deal with him, he'll fit right into this clown show.

Only way they're trading him is if they take another bad contract in return.

Lol'd when I saw him

The Cubs gave the corpse of Andrelton Simmons $4M last off-season, would imagine Elvis does a little better than that.

The mistake would be to continue to pretend that Tim Anderson is a major league shortstop.

If they trade him to give Jose Abreu another run at 1B every day, I think I'm done.

They will lose a lifelong fan if they pull that trigger, I fear they will.

Difficult for me to root for any team led by Terry Francona after he gifted the Cubs a World Series by not having the sack to run on Jon Lester.

Nothing left to do but laugh at these jagoffs.

Why would we move the far superior defender to 2B? Because Tim's feelings will be hurt? Tim's offensive profile belongs at 2B, he should move there and stay there.

Had a blast at the game, taking all the credit for the performance. Crochet was walking out at the end, I hollered "Garrett when you coming back?" He said "SOON!"

Hahaha, I'm a 7 7/8th's hat size, and the huge heads run in my Dad's (Irish) side of the fam, he's an 8+. No McGuire or recent Mt. Davis tomfoolery for me tonight!

Also, any Bay Area ST folks attending any games this weekend? I'm considering also going Sunday if anybody is interested in coordinating a meet up or grabbing tix together.

Picked up some 2nd row tix right next to the Sox dugout, home plate side for tonight for $60 a piece on Stubhub. Look for the guy with the giant Irishman head wearing a spring training Sox cap if you want to catch a glimpse of JoeCredeYes in the flesh.

What's next, traveling secretary forgetting to charter a flight? What a shitshow this org is.

Unbelievable, bad enough hearing the news on Twitter.

Full disclosure the connection is my cousin's neighbor is close friends with the coach, often sits in his seats. But any gossip that makes it my way I take with a big grain of salt and don't typically share here cause I'm not trying to be one of the foodies. However he has been accurate in the past. Either way, hope Tony is ok and never manages the Sox again.

He also fits the catchers make solid managers mold and you can tell how in tune he is during his broadcasts, I think you could do a lot worse than AJP.

I have a pretty loose connection to a coach in the org, this aligns with what I was told months ago, that TLR would quietly step away and not return next season. However, they believed it would be after the season concluded.

This is it right? The TLR nightmare is over?

Are we just going to keep pretending he's still that guy? He's been a problem this year and isn't getting any better.

If you noticed, I'm comparing him directly to Jose Abreu, who people on this board seem to think is having a good year, while acting like Vaughn is having a bad one. Never came close to acting like the dude was Mike Trout.
