QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 10, 2006 -> 02:52 PM) Yeah it's only been 1 week, no need to say this team is terrible. But with that being said, I do have some concerns about the team. Mainly in the pitching. Will the starters be able to produce like they did last year? The relievers are the big question in my mind. How's the bullpen going to do? I don't worry about the offense as much as the pitching. But one thing I'm going to miss from last year is that we had at least 2 bench players with speed, Willie Harris and Pablo Ozuna and I don't think Timo Perez was that slow either. I guess I just like fast guys but we're down to just 1 with Pablo. its a valid concern, especially with our previously untouchable bullpen but no worries, let Coop work his magic

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 09:28 AM) Harlod Baines got hit by foul balls like three times in spring training. He's not quite as fleet footed as Raines. i think Harold is asleep at the wheel half the time. yeah Rock got around good last year and it was a pleasure just to watch him. i actually think the 1st base coach has alot to do with player performance. the thing about Rock is that he would always keep the runners loose and was a good match up with Pods last year. also if a line drive was commin sraight at Tim, Hawk would always go "Lookout, Rock!" ill miss those Hawkisms for Tim Raines this year.

its true, this duo of Famer and Singleton is piss poor. did anybody catch that bit that they were rambling on about around the 7th Inning? i forgot what it was, but something that had nothing to do with baseball.

QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Apr 4, 2006 -> 04:44 PM) Can anybody keep me from reading 45 pages, and tell me if there is a reason why Pods & Iguchi did not play today? i turned on da score @ 2:45 Anyways, people dont freak out too much. losses are going to come, but so will many many wins. fact of the matter is Freddy was off today and Jake Westbook was clickin. damn, whyd i d rop him from my Fantasy team?!

QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 3, 2006 -> 06:19 PM) Um... the Air Force doesn't fly F/A-18's, which are navy jets - the pilots would have been Navy or Marines. http://www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpalib/aircra...apr06.html#Illi And where the heck did those pilots come from that they could go home, land, de-gear, and get to the park again during the game? I think perhaps the air force pilots were pulling your leg. But yes, it was great to see all the military uniforms. Great experience for men and women of all services, some of whom were in from other parts of the country. i happen to know the military quite well. i forgot that the Navy Blue Angels also wear blue covers, just as the Air Force does, which is why i got services mixed up. i could be wrong on the aircraft but i thought they were Hornets, but seeing as tho the Air Force flies 15s, 16s and 22s, i know it was a Navy fly by.

i dont see why people like bikes either. too many people who either dont know what theyre doin or are not responsible. and half the time nobodys wearin a helmet. but above all that, i absolutly cant stand those damn crotch rockets!!!

well as everyone already knows, Harold Baines is the White Sox 1st base coach for '06, and good ole Rock Raines is on the Bench. i gotta tell ya, this change seemed a bit wierd to me seeing as though Baines was never known to steal many bases and Rock was the Base Stealin' King. I really liked Rocks somewhat agressive nature, yet his cool slickness with the base runners not to mention his hilarity on the field. well just was lookin for some soxtalk opinions over the swich.

good video post! the fly by was unbelieveable! i was sitting in right field and it was somethin else to see those F/A-18s fly past. later on in the game, i headed up to get a drink and saw the two air force pilots who did the fly by sortie. i shook that captains hand and told him it was unreal. we spoke briefly, and i just told him that we could see the jets fumes comming outta the afterburners and that they came in right ontop of the hardeck. real friendly guys. it was cool to see all the service men and women there last night.

Im and idiot for leaving the game! that ball Big Jim just tagged was RIGHT where my seat was. o but who cares, JT Chicago welcomes you!!!

awesome! we're back. i was at the game but had to leave because of the less than desirable conditions and because it was getting late, but for the 4 innings that i was there for, the game was UNREAL! im gonna go check out ESPN

SEC 104 Its all about pre game tailgating and then on to the Fan Deck. we'll probably get to our seats by the 3rd.
