QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 04:51 PM) OMG!!! NO!! :headshake Now that you mentioned it..... No.

Actually, the first episode bothered me. Even though Stewie and Brian don't usually act like a dog and a baby, they went too far out of what they normally are for their characters to work. It's one thing for Brian to drive, or drink or read a book. Those things are funny. It's another to have him parenting with a baby or being a substitute teacher. In previous seasons, Brian had jobs where you might actually have dogs involved. Helping out a blind/infirm person. In the police. In porn. I have never seen a teaching dog.

QUOTE(bmags @ Aug 10, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) i can't imagine any of the other pixies getting mistaken for a female...well, maybe black francis for being pregnant...but thats part of their charm... For some reasons I thought both Deal sisters were in the Pixies. My bad.

Dude, Rowand got a bag. Very very lucky.
-
I was kinda scared of tripping in the third row of the club level.

2-0 sox.

Actually, if you saw, the net almost tore through. Not like a jumpy thing.

No runs, one hit, no errors and one arrest. Top of the 9th, 1-0 Good Guys!
-
Wonder if he's gonna get arrested. Note to self: don't lean over at my next game.
-
s***, some kid fell out the upper deck and on to the net.

God, who cares? They should have retired after Tattoo You anyways.

QUOTE(Wong & Owens @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 10:24 AM) Pixies had only Kim Deal. Black Francis, David Lovering and Joey? Santiago were the other members. Good call on the Breeders, but I think they were too short-lived The breeders are still together. Put out an album a couple years ago... plus the side projects of Amps/KimDeal5000. Also did a track on a tribute album for Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Possibly the second best track on the record behind the Yo La Tengo/Yoko collaboration or Frank Black's cover of "Sugar Daddy"

QUOTE(bmags @ Aug 9, 2005 -> 01:33 AM) oh my goodness...good call, i love their latest album...since the night the fox was booorn he...bad ass Damn I hate it when I get beaten to the S-K references. Noone has mentioned the Breeders? Or the Pixies for that matter (two chicks in that band). I might get shot for this but - - - Yoko Ono. And Tina Turner, solely for the song "Nutbush City Limits."

QUOTE(The Critic @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 12:04 PM) If you keep making fun of the handicapped, pretty soon only Nuke will talk to you. Ladies and gentlemen, a Winodj approved Post of the month nominee!

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Aug 7, 2005 -> 05:42 PM) I don't have a problem if you pray to invisible squirrels in your pants -- LCR, I thought I told you. My religion is a PRIVATE matter. The squirrels are not pleased.

Maybe he had "U Cant Touch This" stuck in his head.... you know... "Stop, Hammertime?"

QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 11:38 PM) I dunno. I just got done rewatching all 4 of them and I thought they were as good as season 1. "Afternoon Delight. but how shall I get it in her. Maybe I'll put it in her brownie..." "Aren't you like 15?" "Marry me!"

I don't think that they are really in danger of going broke anymore. Like I said, the people that own AAR at this point have been much better at getting the funding that they need and their network revenue has been increasing as well. I'm also willing to bet they're OK because of the deal they inked with Clear Channel. CCU put them on 20 or so stations in exchange for adding Jerry Springer to their mid morning lineup. If CCU didn't think they were viable, they wouldnt have made that an option - they probably looked to make sure there was two years of life up there.
-
I think that was a given though. They had to continue the story and it just got sooo complex that it was very difficult to keep all the threads coming together in every episode.

QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 11:41 PM) You guys are always so damn LITERAL, when it suits your needs, of course. You know what I meant, and I explained it a little bit more to Balta. Notice that I added ON THE AIR, because I knew it was just a matter of time until one of you posted something like this. Well, I would put Michael Savage ahead of AAR. But I was just being snarky. That's why they pay me the big bucks.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 12:11 PM) But they will use "they sneeze weird" if they have to. Anything will justify their cause. True. What I'm saying is that somewhere between 0 and 100 there might be a number. It may not be the 100, but it sure isn't the 0.

The guy doesn't bother me. The stonewalling on behalf of his nomination does.
-
yeah, ummm i went in on steff's present. its from both of us.
-
Exactly. It wasn't the main reason - but it was A reason.
-
I officially like this guy. Confirm him. Like I said in the beginning, I actually think Bush did not play politics with this nomination. The first time that was done since 1987.
