I think Randi Rhodes is pretty damn funny. She's a bit much at times, but she's funny. But like Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Savage, et al. she is entertainment - not news. I actually ran WLIB's numbers in the money demographic. In the last book, they did alright. 25-54, they're at about a 2 share. Al Franken is the number two talk show in his time slot, behind Rush. Randi Rhodes is number two for half her show and drops lower at 5 oclock when the signal starts to change and she loses a portion of her audience to All Things Considered. And by the way, WLIB's "bad ratings" in New York City means that you only reach 400,000 people a week. They do well enough. The company that started AAR, well - they were a shell game. And corrupt. And yeah, they probably were a benefactor from the charity scam. However, the company that currently owns AAR IS trying to make amends. They are paying the center back the money that its former parent company (and not necessarily AAR) received, the morning show is raising money for the center, and they sponsor a free summer camp through that center.

There are supposedly four episodes that are in the can for season three, just without the wraparounds.

You sit there thinking I'm against bench appointments in all cases. I'm not. This is a specific case with very specific details. This is not about whether or not John Bolton yelled at people. This is about whether or not John Bolton attempted to cook the intelligence books before our country entered a war. I don't know what country you live in, but in my book - if its true - that's a crime against this country, and definitely one that warrants investigation. Again, this is a nomination that didn't win in committee. I think its ridiculous for any president to stop progress on something for four months so he doesn't have to face the indignity of a vote for his nominee. Ever thought the reason he didn't turn over the documents was because he was afraid that Bolton wouldn't win a full up or down vote?

I think that smaller parks, weaker pitching and growing reliance on the longball did more to increase homerun production than the "clear" and the "cream."

Personally, I don't think Steroids is that bad. My theory is that players have been looking for a way to game the system for years. Before steroids it was something else. They didn't filibuster because they didn't want him. They wanted the vote - but there were allegations that Democrats thought warranted an investigation. The President chose NOT to release requested documents. Just like the President is choosing NOT to release documents relating to the Supreme Court Justice nomination. If you won't play ball by the rules you expect everyone else to play by, you don't belong in the game.
