I believe there was a point where he was making fun of a death row inmate pleading for his life to an interviewer. If I'm not mistaken, the inmate was mentally retarded and asked for clemency from death. Personally, I believe anyone who believes in a "Culture of Life" believes that human life should be taken when only absolutely necessary. So the death penalty isn't an option in Criminal Court. Life is life, innocent or not.

I remember in Theology class being told that the historical perspective for confession was mostly a social one. Much like having Jews keep kosher was more about public health than the actual ability to be closer to God. On the other thing, Tex - I don't subscribe to any particular Christian religion anymore. I'm just looking for the place that feels right. Any church I attend HAS to be open and affirming. I don't want a church to condone my actions, but instead to accept who I am as valid. Something that not enough churches do.

Sox4Life: If George Bush went to church, and actually believed in the Culture of Life that he talks about all the time, I might believe his words are less than selfish.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, if you're voting for the candidate, consider yourself on his staff Be Good. And do me a favor, since I get the feeling that you're gonna vote for Kerry. I'm glad to hear it. Don't make it an automatic vote to re-elect him in four years. Make him earn it. Don't believe in following blindly. If you think the president fails you and your government, don't reward that.

If the Federal courts end up turning over the redistricting like it looks like they might now, just two years til the Texas GOP gets bit in the ass.

I'm starting to think Sox4Life is actually Kirk Cameron.

State level. But I got one friend to join his state level and another to work for MoveOn in Ohio.

They both win for Kerry. Gore is Red Meat for the base. Clinton appeals to women.

I turned my back on the Catholic Church because I felt it turned its back on me. I have visited several churches since but haven't found one to settle with. I recall one very powerful sermon at a Lutheran service in Michigan back in 2001. He talked about why its so important to pray for everyone, not just the ones you support. Something that stuck with me. And its something I've done nearly every day since.

My friend said Michael Moore was pretty damn funny at Michigan State. I don't know, personally don't even like the guy much. You'd think I'd have met him in Michigan - being that he's from Flint and so huge its hard not to see him from miles away.

The last time I checked, Teresa Heinz-Kerry does not run Heinz Ketchup. Teresa says a lot of stupid s***, but she also apologized for what she said about Laura Bush. When was the last time you saw George Bush apologize for anything? All joking aside, is this what the Republicans are reduced to? The Kerry campaign attacks the Bush record, and they fire back with what Teresa said? I don't vote for Teresa. And I don't have to vote for her if she does run for anything. Unlike apparently some narrow minded folk who'd vote for anyone with a Republican next to their name in here, my candidates have to earn my vote. The last time I checked, we don't vote for First Lady.

Sox4Life: No I didn't see this movie. Between my efforts working for my candidate, keeping up with the news, working my ass off to pay my bills - I don't have the time for political movies right now. However, I can recommend the German movie "Good-Bye, Lenin." It's a sweet movie about the lengths of which a son would go to keep his mother happy in the last days of her life while dealing with emotions from a German unification. I know that Fahrenheit is full of misinformation, any propaganda piece is. I'm well aware of the fact that Michael Moore is out for Michael Moore. Not for John Kerry, Ralph Nader or anyone else. But I will say this about the guy, he's trying to make people politically active and take ownership of the system in which they live. Reactionary documentaries about reactionary documentaries just don't do it for me, sorry.

Republicans do the same thing. Not their fault that their movies don't gross 100 million.

The John Kerry record on defense. Kerry voted against the B-2 bomber between 1989 and 1992. George H.W. Bush halted production of the bomber in 1992. At the time, the plane's purpose was to fly into Soviet airspace and drop nuclear weaponry. Kerry supported amendments to limit but not end Reagan's SDI (Star Wars) initiative. Kerry voted to restrict the MX missile (which Bush ended production of) and to ban the production of Nerve Gas weaponry (the very same weaponry we invaded Iraq to disarm Iraq of). Kerry voted against a 1991 proposal to arbitrarily shave 2% off the defense department budget. Kerry voted against a 1992 proposal to cut Pentagon intelligence programs by 1 billion dollars. Kerry voted against a 1994 proposal to cut 30+ billion dollars from Defense between 94 and 99 to be used for education and public health. In 1996, Kerry fought to keep six F-18's in the defense budget. In 1999, Kerry fought to keep the Trident II missile in the defense budget. The record shows that he'd obviously just give away the whole army.

George H.W. Bush in 1992. Vice President Dick Cheney in 1992. Republicans. Wrong on Defense.

It was way worse in primary season. I signed up for Kerry mailings early. Got pissed when I was getting 10 solicitations a day at one point.

I think Clinton would be good for the U.N. It would go miles in helping the U.S. bridge the gap and help make the U.N. work better politically. An American who believes in the goal of the United Nations is the kind of Secretary General that the world needs right now.

Who would have thought he'd do worse than his last showing of 28% in Maryland? Oh wait, thats right. Me.

Former CIA leader George Tenet said during a luncheon speech in Detroit yesterday that Iraq was the wrong war. Who caught it? Not the AP, not Fox News, not the liberal media elite... a beat reporter for the St. Joseph Michigan Herald-Palladium.

They did leave the Swift Boat Vets alone. Kerry tried to ignore them and let it "go away," for about three weeks. But they wanted a fight. If two weeks before the election, y'all wanna get wrapped up in Michael Moore go ahead. I'm paying attention to the people that matter - the candidates.
