i ain't sayin much. "I Report, You Decide"
-
"[T]he question in my mind is how many additional American casualties is Saddam worth? And the answer is not very damned many. So I think we got it right, both when we decided to expel him from Kuwait, but also when the president made the decision that we'd achieved our objectives and we were not going to go get bogged down in the problems of trying to take over and govern Iraq. Once we had rounded him up and gotten rid of his government, then the question is what do you put in its place? Now what kind of government are you going to establish? Is it going to be a Kurdish government, or a Shi'ia government, or a Sunni government, or maybe a government based on the old Baathist Party, or some mixture thereof? You will have, I think by that time, lost the support of the Arab coalition that was so crucial to our operations over there." Dick Cheney, 1992.

Don't forget about our ally Pakistan, who pardoned A.Q. Khan, you know the guy who was disseminating nuclear technology to the highest bidder.

A draw in debate one is a help to John Kerry not George Bush. Right Track/Wrong Track polls have consistently shown that a majority of the American public don't see us headed in the right direction. You could make the argument, based on these polls that many people who support Bush in the polls are soft supporters and looking for an excuse to shift allegiance to Kerry. By Kerry looking presidential, and a viable option he wins. Draws are a victory for the challenger in a debate.

Bush claimed 100,000 Iraqi security forces trained at the debate. Last Monday, the Pentagon said that only 53,000 of these 100,000 had received any training. Only 8,169 have received full training. Bush told Kerry that diplomacy would not have persuaded Saddam to disarm. No stockpiles of forbidden weapons have been found in Iraq. Bush said last night that 10 million Afghanistani voters are registered. Most sources agree that there aren't even 10 million eligible voters in Afghanistan. Bush claimed that direct negotiations with North Korea would drive China away from playing a role in the talks. China has asked the US to talk to North Korea directly in repeated instances. Bush claims that the "A.Q. Khan Network" was brought to justice. Khan has admitted to providing nuclear technology and advice to rogue states. Khan has been pardoned by our ally in Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf and not a single person in the "network" has been prosecuted. Bush said he increased spending on Nuclear Proliferation by 35 percent. In Bush's first budget, Bush proposed a 13% cut in Nuclear Proliferation. Finally, George Bush, our Commander in Chief, on the hard work of fighting for our country. I see on the TV screens how hard it is.

I just wish they would do something to stop the force feeding of Kirstie Alley. Have you seen her lately? She's huge!

So instead of letting the guy get home safe, where he was headed, they kept him out longer? Nice.

4 games. Toronto double header, Cubs/Sox game where Zambrano melted down on the mound and gave up 5, and some weird game with a 90 min rain delay and 12-8 final or something that we lost.

Since the debates are tonight and there isn't enough b****ing about liberals or conservatives on the site lately, I thought I'd stir things up. Here's a quote on December 4, 2001 during a Presidential Press Event from George W. Bush. Sounds innocent, right? Well, the problem is that this never happened. The first plane crash into the World Trade Center was not televised live. On FNC's The O'Reilly Factor, George Bush said that he solely went on that ship in May to say Thank You for the troops, not that a mission was accomplished. Here's a quote from that Presidential Press Event. Oops. On the creation of the 9/11 commission, the President now denies being initially opposed to it. On Larry King Live last month, he was asked if he was originally against it. His response - "not really." Here's a quote from May 2002 to the press from the President. Hmmm. If we can't trust a president to remember or be honest about what he saw, thought or said on pretty momentous occasions, why should we trust him to run this country?

It'd be better if I could get it to work.

I have given up putting any serious stock in the polls, there are so damn many of them. I will say that I've read recently that Democrats have been more successful at registering new voters than Republican and that pollsters would miss most of this subset entirely. If the Dems are successful at bringing a higher percentage of them out to the polls, the election may very well go for Kerry. I've seen electoral polls that show Kerry with 270 and bush with 311. The way I see it, if Bush loses Ohio or Florida from his state count this time around, he'd need to hold New Hampshire, take Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota to keep the White House. If Kerry wins Ohio and Florida, it would be extremely difficult for Bush to win, period.

I trace it back to the disappearance of the Chocodile.

The problem with being the number one guy in a dictatorship, its not like you can be number two or less and still live comfortably.

The Official Alan Keyes is a dumbass thread...

So in other words, you are voting for Obama because he's the best man for the job (at least on the ticket). It's ok to admit you support a democrat once in a while. -
Top Republicans Criticize Bush "Mistakes" on Iraq
Rex Kickass replied to LowerCaseRepublican's topic in SLaM
The liberal movement is by no means monolithic. I may be a bleeding heart liberal, but that doesn't make me a pacifist. I may not support the Federal Hate Amendment, but I don't want to force gay marriage on anyone either. The problem with the liberal movement is the people who are viewed as the liberal voice in this country are whackjobs. It's like having the conservative movement defined by Strom Thurmond, Pat Robertson and Alan Keyes. Except we get Michael Moore, Eleanor Holmes Norton and Ralph Nader. Assclowns, each and every one of them. -
Cristal is marginally better than Dom which is now over produced. The best high mark champagne is the one few know of. I'd rather have a bottle of Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill Cuvee or a flower bottle of Perrier Jouet. Much better, IMHO.

It was the top headline at about 8 AM Friday morning on FOX. CNN didn't even have the story on their website.
-
The best part about the Fox News story is that the headline is taken from the very last paragraph of the story. Wasn't even the thrust of the story. The Bush administration proved itself wrong today on the issue of WMD. And Fox News embellishes the one paragraph that contributes to the administration's argument. Make your own judgment I guess.
