I started following the White Sox in the early 90's while I was in elementary school. I'd have to say that 2003 was easily the worst year for me. This year sucks, but 2003 sucked alot worse. That team should have won it all, IMO

If what I just read on ESPN.com is true, and they don't resign him somehow, then I'm going to have a real hard time paying money to see, listen, or watch this team as long as Kenny Williams has anything to do with the organization. In short, this is bulls***, and it's hard to root for a team whose management treats players like Mark Buehrle this way. And for anyone that says "see ya" or "dont let the door hit you on the way out" or something similar...that's fine, just keep your head in the sand and watch Kenny Williams, and the rest of the front office run this team back into the ground.

So let me get this straight, paying Vasquez 11M or so a season for 4 years is "cheap"?? But they have a problem signing a guy that has, with the exception of last year, really been a VERY good pitcher, one of the most consistent in the league, to a 5 year deal? That just really doesnt make sense at all to me. I really believe that whether we're rebuilding or not, the pitching staff should be built around Buehrle, Garland, Danks, and Jenks. I've never really been "sad" when a player left a team. I mean, I was bummed to let Maggs and Frank go, but it was their time to go. But I don't see it being time for Buehrle to go anywhere. And I would honestly find it hard to watch a team that hails Contreras and Vasquez as their 1-2 starters. Sign him to a huge deal. He'll be what, 33 when the contract is up? He's not the type of pitcher that I see breaking down over the next 5 years.

As soon as Arod came up, I knew he was going to hit one out. This was one of the worst games I've seen all year. Hawk and DJ honestly sounded depressed. This team, aside from our starting pitching most of this year, is f***ing pathetic.
