  2. Giolito wins Cy Young; Cease finishes top 5. Moncada and Robert combine for 50 SB Eloy continues to be the player he was after returning from injury in 2021. Robert hits 40+ HR Moncada hits 20+ HR Hendriks' gopher ball problem gets worse Graveman sucks and reminds everyone of Scott Linebrink. Kelly never gets completely healthy. Kimbrel stays on the team all season and is dominant for stretches, but completely sucks for a month, dragging his entire season stats down. Keuchel is DFA in June, leading to Velasquez starting games. There is a 5th starter hole the entire season. Sox are unable to fill it because their minors suck. Josh Harrison puts up more WAR than Madrigal.
  3. He started 15 games each for the last 2 seasons.
  4. I still feel like the Bears should sign Eric Fisher.
  5. A question for the old timers- are Flash and Flash Tizzle the same guy? I always thought they were, until I saw the post count on Flash.
  6. Yeah they DFA'd him last year. Was claimed by the Giants, I think he bounced to another team as well.
  7. He threw a bunch of changeups. Statcast data was there. Change was 91-93 mph, which is fine when you're throwing 100 mph but not when you're throwing 96-97.
  8. Agreed. I was curious, but it seems that's not happening.
  9. It's tough when your fastball is 97 mph and your changeup is 92 mph. He needs to try a different grip or something to get it down in the 86-88 mph range, or he's never getting out of the pen.
  10. Hey guys, did you know they have Statcast data for ST games this year? It's nice. Real Gameday too.
  11. I liked it because what you said below that was accurate. I didn't even read the top line.
  12. Some of us appreciate your info, don't quit telling us what you're hearing just because Ray Ray is disgruntled.
  13. Asian players tend to want to play on the West Coast or on teams with large fanbases, like the Cubs, Yankees/Mets or Sawx. Big named guys rarely sign anywhere else, unless the market just isn't there. The one exception seems to be the Rangers. Darvish and Arihara both signed there, which was interesting.
  14. I'm fine if the Sox are cheap, but at least operate like Tampa and Oakland then. Pour all of your money into scouting and analytics and keep the payroll down, trade players with 2 years left of team control, etc. If they're not going to do that, then quit half-assing being a big market team. Pick a fucking lane already. I think the Sox huge mistake is that they don't put enough emphasis on scouting and player development. They need to spend more there, and it would pay off. I know it's not a Jerry thing, but he's completely fucking over the team by not doing that.
  15. It goes back to thinking the fanbase is contemptible. They think we're all a bunch of mouth breathing Neanderthals.
  16. It wasn't just Houston either. They had trouble with teams over .500 last year.
