  1. Vaughn could have the same numbers but only be worth 3-4 WAR because he plays 1B and not RF.
  2. Vaughn's ceiling is Maggs 1st 3 years in Detroit IMO.
  3. No. Option has to be exercised by both parties. It's either a 1/12 or 2/20 deal. It's just deferring $4M until next year.
  4. Reynaldo doesn't have enough good pitches to start.
  5. What is taking so long for this to be official?
  6. They don't have the prospects and Jerry wouldn't extend him anyway. He's going somewhere else. This is a rebuild, but it won't be obvious until mid-season.
  7. This is where I disagree with you.
  8. I gotta dig deeper into Baseball Savant. I have no idea how the damn site works. Just what they show on the default player pages.
  9. new foodie account that is surely fulla s%*#. Lol
  10. Sox won't sign him to that kind of deal.
  11. If Cease pitches the next 3 years close to this one, he's in line for at least a $250M contract
  12. Do you have this in number form?
  13. Where did you get those splits? I have been searching sites and haven't been able to isolate splits like you just did. You got any fastball data from 2021 before/after the ban? I seem to remember him losing a tick or two after the ban.
  14. It does, actually. Giolito's K/9 dropped to 9.1 after the ban. Pre ban in 2021 it was 11.4. In 2019 his K/9 was 11.6 and in 2020 it was 12.1
  15. What are you talking about? I'm curious what Giolito's K/9 was from the start of the 2021 season to June 20th 2021.
  16. K/9 is significantly down. From 11.6 in 2019 to 9.1 here. There's something to the spider tack argument. Opinion: Gio averaging 94+ mph=#2 Gio averaging 93.5 mph=#3-4 Gio averaging 93.0 mph=#5 Gio averaging under 93 mph=toast Which guy are we getting in 2023?
  17. This is disingenuous, because anyone who watched Giolito in 2022 knows he wasn't the same guy he was from 2019-21. The big unknown is if he will gain his velocity back if he slims down.
  18. Lol you're probably right.
  19. Anyone can now if you pay for it.
  20. #JadedSoxFan
  21. It's just a fan, I'm being jaded. It's the same as: Signing Gallo would be a very White Sox move
