  1. What window? One could argue it never actually opened.
  2. It wouldn't have mattered, imo. Was the right decision then and still is.
  3. Handedness doesn’t really matter anymore. If they're a pitcher with a pulse they'll shut the Sox down. The Sox couldn't score in a Tijuana brothel with a Benjamin tied to Mr Johnson
  4. It's sad what's happened to Moncada Everything that made him a special talent as a hitter is gone.
  5. I'd build around neither. Robert is unreliable.
  6. They were playing Detroit. Detroit is trbl. The Sox will be lucky to win 2 games this week or score 10 runs total. Houston and Cleveland will beat them up and take their lunch money.
  7. Kelley 4.2 IP 1ER 5BB 4K. A step back for him today, despite the results.
  8. Yeah, the way the catcher caught it got Yoan the call.
  9. He has his stuff back, yet still sucks. It's not explainable.
  10. I was looking up Giolito's baseball savant data and he has lost 1.1 inches of carry off his fastball, 0.9 mph of velocity and has gone from having above average horizontal movement to straight as an arrow. I think his decline can be attributed to that, as all of his other pitches are set up from his fastball. If this is sticky stuff related then idk if he will be a good pitcher again.
  11. If they could, they would. But they can't, so they won't.
  12. Following the minors is infinitely more fun than following the Sox this year.
  13. I was looking at what the biggest difference between the last 3 years and this year for Giolito is. It's his fastball. He had a lot more carry on it the last 3 years vs this year. It makes everything else easier for hitters to read and react to.
  14. Looked like it. Burger would be an upgrade with the bat rn though
  15. I think I'm going to admit I was wrong about Eloy. He's good when healthy. He's never healthy though. (This AB notwithstanding)
  16. Sox offense: Oi! I got me finger stuck in me bum!
  17. BTW Eloy is more injury prone than Robert
  18. Looking forward to getting shut down by Norris. Kopech will pitch well, but the offense won't score much.
