White Sox @ Royals 1:15 pm CST Lopez vs Sparkman
Lopez's curve is a much better pitch than his slider. It looks like he's bringing the cutter/curveball combo back. I don't understand why he went away from that as it worked so well last year.

That ball will be in orbit for a decade. Moonshot.

6/9 Games
I know, but they still might end up scratching Cease.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
Then they should just keep him.

6/9 Games
Watch to see if Cease actually pitches today. Covey to the IL.

His next 3 starts are against the Yanks, Sawx and Cubs. Huge test.

White Sox @ Royals 1:15pm CST. Giolito vs Keller
What's crazy is that he did this without his good heater today.

White Sox @ Royals 1:15pm CST. Giolito vs Keller
Some of those are going to drop eventually. He seems like he's been getting robbed by speedy CF lately to left center

Ricky's going to put Herrera in isn't he?

White Sox @ Royals 1:15pm CST. Giolito vs Keller
Sitting in the dugout with his thumb up his ass again. He sure likes to play switch.

White Sox @ Royals 1:15pm CST. Giolito vs Keller
That is a really good way to get them to quit shifting on him.

***Day 3 MLB Draft Thread Rounds 11-40***
So why don't more HS draftees sign then? Do they just not think they're ready for pro ball?

The MVP Machine
After reading that excerpt, I want Luhnow to have Kenny's job. Excellent stuff.

Is Ricky Renteria once again simply a placeholder manager?
I honestly don't know. We'll find out this offseason.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
Balta, I actually agree with you and, IMO trading Colome and Abreu completely depends on the return. If they can get a guy in the 50-75 range on the T100 they should do it, otherwise stand pat. There are a lot of relievers on bad teams having excellent years, so I don't think that the return for either will end up being worth giving up the player. However, with Vaughn in the fold I could be convinced to trade Abreu for whatever. Something is better than nothing.

2020 MLB Draft Thread
They're dumb because we think the Sox should be considered for one, because the Cubs own the lion's share of Chicago baseball fans, and MLB doesn't want to acknowledge that. Part of it has to do with the Cubs being a national brand. If they're going to do competitive balance picks, it should be for competitive balance and teams with a 5 year average under 75 wins should get one, the market size shouldn't matter, winning should. Also, teams that have missed the playoffs for a decade straight should get one until their next playoff appearance. The whole point should be to help longtime losers like the Sox, Padres and Mariners rather than small markets who have found ways to win due to being better at analytical scouting than everyone else like the Cardinals and Rays.

Colome remains with White Sox, who always had ample interest in him
If that's the case, they should keep him as it's not worth trading him for a Cordell/Medeiros type.

FS: Andrew Vaughn goes to White Sox at pick No. 3
Andrew Vaughn should wear #99 in spring training. I'd find it comical, especially when playing Cleveland That being said, there's a chance the kid has never seen that movie

Sounds like something came out of one end or the other

Dallas Keuchel signs one year deal with Braves
The crazy thing is that they may have amassed enough talent to pull it off.
-
6/6 Games
Looks like he just may have needed an adjustment period. A+ to AA is the biggest jump in the minors. (Obviously AAA to MLB is bigger)
