  1. I might actually tune in just for Lesnar. But there isnt no drama between the coaches which sucks. Should have asked Mir to be the other coach against Lesnar.
  2. I totally forgot about Al Michaels. He's an all time great and probably can do any sport without missing a beat. Since some have mentioned radio PBP guys, I'm going to throw in Gene Deckerhoff. He calls both the Bucs and FSU sports. The guy is a homer but nowhere near obnoxious as some. Do you like him chimpy?
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 11, 2011 -> 12:46 PM) And Michigan will probably have to settle for Brady Hoke. How the mighty have fallen. Last night was probably as boring an exciting game as I can remember watching. Auburn should cherish every day they have with this title, because you get the feeling they won't have it anymore in 3 or 4 years. I hope I'm wrong though, I would hate to see a National Championship vacated. Hoke has done a really nice job at San Diego State. It's not a sexy hire but I think it will be a good one. Now Hoke needs to find a QB since it sounds like Robinson has asked and gotten a release from Michigan.
  4. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 11, 2011 -> 01:11 AM) Yeah im not going to do strictly play by play, but I think Spielman is one of the better announcers, also like Troy Aikman. I hate Joe Buck. I'm a big fan of Spielman. I also like it when Tony Siragusa chimes in from the sideline during NFL games. I like seeing more coaches and defensive players in the booth. Tired of only hearing ex-QBs doing the color.
  5. I like Gus Johnson for the NCAA tournament but not for anything else. I like Nessler. I cant stand the CBS college football crew of Verne and Gary Danielson.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 11, 2011 -> 12:13 AM) Well, looks like the 2010-2011 Championship will be vacated in a few years. lol, one can only hope.
  7. I feel like we were robbed for some reason. This game was boring in the second half and could have turned into something great in OT.
  8. and now things are interesting!
  9. Oregon not having a big back who can run north and south will be the difference in this game. Too many key short yardage situations have been wasted by the Ducks.
  10. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 09:46 PM) If by better you mean it reminds me of a Madden game where the other player uses every gimmick to try and win. Id guess the strategy for going for 2 is that you dont believe your defense can stop them, so 14-11 is a fg versus 14-10 needing a td. I dont think Oregon has a theory for going for 2. They've gone for two on opening touchdowns. They just do it just because they can.
  11. We have two finesse offenses who had 40 days off. Did you expect both teams to play flawless? Oregon has moved the ball well twice and has made plays against Newton. Sure there have been some mistakes but I've seen a lot more less entertaining starts to bowl games.
  12. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 09:03 PM) Ten minutes in, and this game is awful. no its not. All because there hasnt been any scoring doesnt mean its awful.
  13. Man, Oregon has some awesome uniforms tonight.
  14. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jan 9, 2011 -> 03:22 PM) Awful call, but I'll take it. it's kinda an awful rule but not an awful call. Can't have refs out there calling intent.
  15. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 08:01 PM) Fixed No, not really. No one wants to play a team like this. No one gave them a chance the past 2 weeks and here they still stand. Whoever plays Seattle next week better take them out by the half or watch out.
  16. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 12:13 AM) Yeah you can. Saints will win by 2 touchdowns. lol at this dumbass. What a moran. But hahahaha@ the Saints. Good for Seattle. I wouldnt want to play them right now.
  17. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 04:03 PM) 5/25 million which isn't that bad considering the silly $8 million/year numbers being thrown around. I guess it's safe to say that the $8M per year number was bogus.
  18. Amazing how bad the media is these days when it comes to trying to be the first to leak out a story. They dont even care when they totally miss on breaking a story. No one calls them out on it.
  19. looks like the Harbaugh talks fell apart. NFL.com is reporting Sparano was told tonight that he would return for 2011.
  20. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jan 5, 2011 -> 10:14 PM) Oh, I know what you mean. We lost some badass recruits when Fulmer got fired, but I was okay with it... And I knew we were getting Jackson (poorly kept secret), but it's always nice to see on national TV, you know? Oh yeah, it is always a good/big thing to have a player select your team on national tv.
  21. So now that the new NFL OT rules take place (each team gets a possession unless the first team scores a TD), if you had 4th and goal from inside the 3, do you go for the win and risk the other team moving the ball down field from the 3 or do you kick the FG and allow the other team to field the kick off? I think I go for the win.
  22. lol, Canada just blew a 3-0 third period lead in the juniors world championship to Russia. 5-3 Russia with a minute left.
  23. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jan 5, 2011 -> 09:00 PM) Good to see Marcus Jackson commit to UT... Yeah, that has been rumored on Miami boards since he decommitted once Shannon was told to take a hike. Nice get for Tennessee but I'd rather have no Jackson and no Shannon than Shannon and Jackson haha.
