QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 08:22 PM) this has to be one of the worst half time shows ever. Even Carl Lewis thinks this is bad.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 06:25 PM) Ok, the win was the under on the length of the anthem (1:54 was the bet, 1:51 was the length) and over on the length she holds the word Brave (0:06 was the bet, 0:09 was the time). people with the under had to be worried the way she was carrying that last note

QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 05:05 PM) People who confuse "I could care less" with "I couldn't care less." That is a good one. When people spell ridiculous wrong. It's not rediculous!

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Feb 6, 2011 -> 11:56 AM) fights weren't electric, but that's going to happen once in a while with UFC cards because with a handful of exceptions they are the top fighters in the world being matched up, not paper mismatches, so the guys are far more evenly matched. IMO it's why they added the 145 and 135, those tend to produce more exciting fights (although Torres seemed to fall to the Tristar Gym's style) Just how timing of other things work out, but that cemented to me Anderson is the best fighter in the world as of now, and as far as 2011 goes the only 2 I can see possibly dethroning him are, obviously, if he and GSP fight and GSP wins or if Overreem absolutely tears through the HW GP in SF. What if Fedor tears through the the GP? I do think whoever wins the SFGP should be the number 1 ranked heavyweight in the world as long as there are no pull outs due to injuries.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 5, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) Jones!!!!!!!! Gets his title shot now! probably the most exciting thing from a letdown of fights last night. The Torres fight lacked excitement. The Bones/Bader fight was one sided. I wouldnt say it was a beatdown but Bader never had a chance. And then the submission came out of nowhere because of a bad camera angle. Forrest/Franklin was pretty uneventful. Vitor/Silva had a great finish but I felt I was hoping for a great title fight. Belfort looked good and fast at the beginning and I still think he could give Silva a good fight. But just as I was getting pumped, it was all over. The hype of Shogun-Bones is going to be off the hook. I think Bones will have a good showing, especially early, but I dont think he's there just yet to beat Shogun in a 25 minute fight. I see Shogun turning the fight in his favor from the 3rd round and on in retaining his belt. The possibility of a Silva-GSP fight is exciting but I just cant see GSP doing anything to Silva. If GSP comes to fight then I think he will get worked. Only way I can see GSP winning is to lay on top of Silva for 25 minutes and win a boring decision.

Santana Moss to become a free agent next week after his contract voids. I would love for the Bucs to make a run after him. I know spending money on defense should be our first priority but I do want to see one more playmaker on offense. I think Benn can be a good number 2 WR but that is still a year or two away from happening, especially after the knee injury. An offense with with Freeman/Mike Williams/Moss/Winslow would probably make us a top third NFC offense. I think he would be a good fit in Chicago too but I would hope he'd want to come back to Florida to finish out his career.

QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 09:58 PM) BTW, how is the BCBA going to feel if all four black coaches in the ACC get fired after this season? Only one with a prayer of staying right now is Hamilton, but I know chimpy is on here always saying that they want him gone. Sidney Lowe has been bad at NCST. Seems like he slides under the radar. I know he's a legacy but I would have to assume NCST's patience is running thin. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 10:07 PM) I would never have come up with all those names, wow fathom That was pretty impressive. Stan Heath has been pretty horrid everywhere he went. He's at South Florida and probably should be fired but him winning 20 games and going .500 in the Big East last year probably bought him another 2 years. -

I know youre talking about major programs but Mike Jarvis has done a really good job at Florida Atlantic. He's 65 and I doubt he'd want to leave Boca but if he was younger I bet he'd get one more chance at a major program. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 09:18 PM) Well, GT vs Miami was a terrible basketball game. Awful charge call on Shumpert, but oh well, it's too bad either team gets credit for a win. I was praying GT would have comeback to win in hopes that Haith would have been fired tomorrow. GT goes 4-29 from 3pt land and lose by 2. Miami turns it over 29 times and wins by 2. What an ugly, ugly game. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 05:36 PM) Like half the college programs out there? Probably more. Sure all programs are doing something. But Clemson sucks and has a crap head coach yet they still pull in huge players at the last second. CJ Spiller all of a sudden leaves the state when everyone down here in Florida thought it was FSU or Florida. Here is former Clemson player Kenneth Page hmmmmm -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 03:36 PM) Its pretty biased towards the south, but then again they have sports year round. Its good for the overall picture, but the star ratings are just guesses. You'll see players commit to schools and drop a star based on who they chose. It's also very biased towards subscription sales. Of course that will favor the football crazy SEC fans. There are tons of stories on how the star system has biased views. Couple of years ago Miami offered a WR from the Miami area and he had no stars. Then a week later the kid commits to Florida and he's 4-star. -

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Feb 3, 2011 -> 11:33 AM) I can't believe Steward went to Clemson. Even after his decision he said "I'm still a Nole at heart". Um, no, not when you go to a conference rival. In the end, playing time won out for Tony. Clemson without a doubt is buying players. -
QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Feb 2, 2011 -> 05:21 PM) Chicharito kicking butt for Man U Yeah he is. Seems like every other game he's scoring a goal.

Charlie Davies might be headed on loan to DC United. That would be a good move for him. He needs to be on a team that will let him play a lot to see if he's still got anything left.

and the US-Egypt game is called off for obvious reasons. Wished they could have moved the game to another country but oh well...

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jan 27, 2011 -> 09:03 AM) I wondered how long he is going to keep his job. He always has athletic teams that should be playing better than they do. It's never fun having to play Miami or FSU, because you know there is a ton of athletes, but they aren't coached well. I hope this is the final year. We are a young but experienced team. Only 1 player is a senior so there is something to build on with the right coach. Get the right coach in there and maybe we can become a 4th-6th seed in the next year or two in the ACC tournament. We play a zone and just get eaten alive on the boards. I think at one point UNC had 19 missed shots but 11 offensive rebounds last night. That is ridiculous! Haith just doest have a clue. We're 1-5 in ACC but we've blown leads in the final two minutes in the last three games. Miami could easily be 4-2. I'm not saying we're some good team because this team has a very low basketball IQ and I think that is a reflection of who their coach is. We've had one really good team in Haith's tenure. It's like I'm watching the football program all over again. -
