So who is Michigan going to target if Harbaugh declines? It seems like Michigan waited way too long to join the coaching search.

QUOTE (T R U @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) Jesus, if Miami takes a RB at 15 I am going to be pissed.. an undrafted free agent just rushed for 1600 yards, unless you are getting an Adrian Peterson its not worth it at all to take a RB high in the draft.. That would be a mega blunder for Miami. No reason to draft a running back outside of the top 10 anymore. Too many good backs are available in the late rounds and free agency. I think Miami should look at Damien Berry late in the draft or as a possible FA. He only played RB for 1.5 seasons at Miami but I think he can be a pretty good back. He's a tough, physical back with not many miles on his legs. It seems like every mock draft has the Bucs drafting Clayborn. It's pretty obvious the Bucs will be targeting pass rushers and linebackers this draft.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 05:37 PM) - Also, what's the deal with Mallett? I keep reading that many NFL teams won't "touch him with a 10 ft pole." He sure looks damn good to me on the field, so I'm assuming there is some off-field stuff that has been kept quiet. Sounds like Mallet might not be the sharpest tool in the shed.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 01:43 AM) It sure seemed that way, but after NFL stats went official, Percy Harvin had 2 receiving yards taken away, going from 71 to 69. I had originally lost 97-96, but check back in today and found it we tied at 96 in which case I won in a tie breaker because I was 11-3 in the regular season and he was 7-7. Fantasy league champion! lol, thats cool. oh wait, I mean no one cares!

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 12:40 AM) The s*** that this kid is getting away with is what should irk you most. Probably because I'm not shocked at all on what big time college athletes are doing. It happens everywhere so when I hear it I think, "sounds about right...". I dont condone cheating and we all know its wrong but I feel the total disrespect Pryor showed is more telling of what type of person he really is.

Out of all that, the thing that irked me the most was Pryor mocking Herbstreit. You can tell the kid is immature and will get nowhere in life.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 11:37 PM) I have no problem with them making the playoffs, but I don't think they should get a home game. 11-5 should not have to travel to 7-9. The Saints are easily the better team, but with the cross-country trip they have to make, and the home field advantage that is Qwest Field, I don't think you can count the Sea Chickens out. Yeah you can. Saints will win by 2 touchdowns.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 4, 2011 -> 12:01 AM) Honestly, ESPN should never have asked Harbaugh about his timetable during the post-game celebration at the Orange Bowl. I could see it at the press conference, but when all of the players are on the field and they are immediately in the process of celebrating, it just seems incredibly tacky and unprofessional. Let the guys celebrate there big win. Harbaugh handled everything with class. Harbaugh had his chance to answer that question if he didnt run away from the post game interview from the reporter. It seems like he flips out every time its brought up so he should have taken his medicine on the field since he knew the question was coming no matter what.

QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jan 3, 2011 -> 10:16 PM) There goes our tournament hopes. Singleton has been terrible outside the 1st three games of this season. He's chucks the ball up, is a ball hog and just doesn't play offense. He's gotten lazy on defense too. Maybe we'll tank the rest of the season and Ham will finally be fired. It might be best if FSU misses the tourney. Maybe it will get Hamilton fired.

I hate the Packers. 5. My best friend is a Packers fan. 6. I'm playing my best friend Packers fan in the fantasy football championship game. 7. I hate the Packers. 8. My best friend Packers fan has the Packers D/ST going. 9. If the Packers lose, miss the playoffs, AND I beat him in fantasy football to win the title, it'd be a beautiful day. you must have had a horrible day yesterday

Edsall has done a great job at UCONN but he's taken that program as far as they can go. With schools like Louisville getting better, and WVU and USF moving in the right direction, it's only going to get tougher for UCONN to compete for conference titles. And that doesnt include TCU. Maryland may appear to be a lateral move but I think he's got a better chance to compete for higher bowls. He plays in the weaker division of the ACC where only Florida State looks to be moving in a good direction. Clemson is sliding back and their coach is probably on his way out soon. NC State is a good team but how good will they be when they lose their QB? With all the talent in the Maryland/Virginia/Carolinas, if he can get some players going to Maryland then there is no reason IMO that he cant lead Maryland to being the second best team in the ACC Atlantic.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 04:04 PM) Josh Freeman is an underrated QB and REALLY fun to watch. 27 TD, 6 INT this year. I was totally wrong about him when they drafted him last season. He is like Big Ben. It's hard to bring him down and he's fast enough to make plays with his feet. He just needs to be a little smarter and times when it comes to making plays after escaping the pass rush.

QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 04:10 PM) at some point last night UFC decided it will be Maynard/Edgar II before Pettis gets his shot, it was a quick flip-flop and Maynard had already left the building by the time the decision was made.... also, Maynard and Edgar both got their win bonuses. That was a smart decision. You have to give an immediate rematch after that fight.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 04:03 PM) No reason to even bother, with the Falcons winning 31-3. I don't blame them. Yeah but I didnt think they would be so blatant about it. Then again when the score 20-13 with 7 minutes left, they recovered a Bucs fumble at the Tampa Bay 30 and they brought in Chase Daniels.

lol, the Saints just laid down for the Bucs just now. Saints had 4th and 1 from the 50, down 23-13 with 2:08 to play and they punted the ball.

QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jan 2, 2011 -> 02:26 PM) Edsal to Maryland. Got a nice chuckle over Leach being passed over again. For the past 4 years, there were so many Miami fans who were pissed that the AD passed over Leach and hired Shannon instead. Then the same fans cried when Leach wasnt given an interview this time around. When Maryland fired The Fridge and still hadnt hired Leach within a day, the handwriting was on the wall. No one wants to touch this guy. He really needs to go to a C-USA type school and start over.
