Looks like Kaka still has some gas left in the tank. If Larin is ok then Orlando appears to have a very lethal attack. Still worried about he back line though and GK. -

QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Apr 1, 2016 -> 08:37 PM) Was it 3 years or so ago when they were serving digornos at the park? That was insane. Best pizza city in the world and they serve that s***? With so many awesome local pizza franchises in Chicago, I never understood why they didn't get some big name in there. Beggars is cool to offer. Lou malnatis Gino's Giordanos Connies Nancy's Taylor St. Rosatis Aurilios Etc 3 locations in Orlando which is great. Went to Gino's East last August and will be going back to Chicago this summer for work with two others who didnt go last year. So I guess its Gino's again unless someone can recommend a better place in the area of the pier.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 1, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) I don't think I've ever been to a Pizza Hut since childhood, and Little Caesars is too far away now. That was fine too, I do like Papa John's thickness. In the end, some do it better than others of course, but cheese and dough and sauce are hard to screw up. but it seems like Papa Johns does screw it up often. So many times I'll bite into a slice of Papa Johns and all the cheese and toppings pull right off the pizza. So I'm stuck with a ball of cheese on my plate and a piece of dough with sauce on it. With that said, I order it when I have a 50% code. For some reason I'm able to use the codes for the Florida Panthers, Rays, Lightning, Magic and Orlando City. So if I want to spend $6 on a pizza its Papa Johns. If I want pizza and there is no codes then I'll just order it from a local NY pizza place and spend $15 instead of $11 or $12 from Papa Johns or Pizza Hut. There is a Dominos about 1/4 mile from me that I've ordered from 3 times in the last 18 months and each time I wonder why I would subject myself to that s***.

Guatemala still has road games at TT and the US. Even if they somehow get a point at TT, they will most likely end up at 10 points. We will be sitting at 10 points going into the final match vs TT. But still Jurgen needs to go. This program has regressed since he's taken over. It's too bad the USSF is run but a bunch of wimps. -
Villanova has been a machine so far in this tournament.

At what point does the APR hurt UK like it did to UCONN?

From a competition standpoint it makes no sense bc the two hockey conferences don't really compare but from a geographical and I'm sure money point, this is probably a really good move. -

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 21, 2016 -> 09:03 AM) Tim Howard leaving Everton for Colorado effective July 8. Moronic to spend $2.5+ million on a goalie in MLS. -
QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 20, 2016 -> 11:28 PM) For me, it's tied with the Weber time out. The seed matters a lot, as UNI was severely overachieving the entire game. As far as non-NCAA, the Spurs choke in 2013, the Bruins in 2013, the Red Wings in 2013 are all in the discussion. The Spurs one in particular. None of those even compare to blowing an 11 point lead in 70 seconds.

Every so often, the gambling gods give bettors a layup and Duke being just a 3 point first half favorite was one of those lay ups.

That was fun. A little too close for comfort but doesn't matter.

Temple player got pushed off. Should've sold it

QUOTE (OnlyGillis @ Mar 11, 2016 -> 11:43 PM) Nice job by the Fire to come away with a draw being down to 10 men for much of the game. Accam hit the post when they were short handed and the way he is playing, I would have expected him to score in the second half if they were 11 vs 11. Pretty embarrassing by Orlando City. Hit the post twice but Molino was terrible out there. Getting Kaka back soon is really needed. -
QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Mar 7, 2016 -> 01:55 PM) She did attempt twice IIRC. But for the first 3 minutes or so, she kept trying to stand up with Holm, and didn't attempt a takedown until she got rocked a couple of times. Find me another fight where Rousey did not attempt a takedown that late into the fight. I just rewatched the first half of the first round of that fight. In the first 3 minutes of the fight, Rousey tried to close the distance to clinch 7 times. She pushed Holm against the cage, then got shoved off and she charged in right away only to have Holm circle away. Then she was able to get a takedown and Holm got up after a hail mary arm bar attempt. Rousey couldnt close the distance at all in that fight. Rousey pressed forward and got picked apart. A fighter doesnt fight the way she did that night if she had the intent of out boxing their opponent. Rousey was chasing Holm all over the cage and couldnt get close.
-
So now Rousey didn't try to take Holm down? That's funny because she obviously did try to take her down and she failed. I think she got Holm down once but that didn't last long. One time Holm actually pushed Rousey off of her. She's a world class judo player but judo isn't always the greatest at getting takedowns in MMA, especially against a capable opponent.

QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Mar 7, 2016 -> 09:13 AM) People are putting too much into that Rousey and Holm fight. It's pretty evident that Rousey has tore up the division and she wanted to challenge herself further by beating a world class boxer at her own game. It backfired big time for her. If you watched that fight, you'd see that that wasn't the same Ronda Rousey we saw before. I have no doubt that Rousey would destroy Holm in the first round if she focuses on what she does best the next time they fight. Why would Rousey with her elementary level boxing think she could be Holm at her own game? Rousey finally went up against a fighter who wasn't going to engage Rousey and get thrown like a rag doll. Most of Rousey's opponents were complete tomato cans. Holm even pushed Rousey off of a clinch at one point. All he takedowns were basically throws against clueless fighters. If Tate is able to avoid being taken down the she will pick Rousey apart too.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 04:53 PM) Oh now that would be interesting. Extremely well respected coach. Then someone else plus Lovie for Texas and someone for Ohio and Fla on the staff or a big name that can go anywhere and its a great start. I wonder who Illinios can hire as an assistant who can recruit really well and knows the state of Florida...... Zooker returns! -

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 11:50 PM) Ryan Baker reporting that Lovie Smith's official announcement will be tomorrow Wow, haven't heard that name in a long time. Baker use to do sports in Orlando. Either way, great hire by Illinois. If Lovie is up for the recruiting challenge, you have to think he will do well, especially when it comes to meeting with parents. -

I'm a season ticket holder for Orlando City. Went to the opener, pretty entertaining game but after 87 minutes and down 2-0, I said f*** it and left. d'oh! -
The last time we saw Rousey she was getting destroyed and KOed. So that warrants a title shot? Or should there be a rematch between Holm and Rousey first? That makes a lot more sense than Rousey going straight to a title shot against someone she's embarrassed twice before. I guess the UFC is scared that if it's Holm-Rousey and it goes the same was as the first fight, then Rousey runs off to Hollywood and makes terrible movies. Atleast giving Rousey the belt against Tate gives the UFC two fights to cash in off of.
-
So Rousey gets destroyed and gets a title shot but Holm who on all accounts that I saw was winning the fight before getting caught can't get a rematch? Pretty much goes to show you how big of a joke women's MMA is.

QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 01:21 AM) I've seen people who been rocked much harder and still managed to pull guard and protect themselves on the ground. Conor has never been tested on the ground and he shown little knowledge of defending down there, it was exposed tonight. Mendes, on short notice, was killing McGregor on the ground before gassing. Looked like a blue belt on the ground tonight.

McGregor's s*** ground game exposed. Rumors of him fighting GSP at UFC 200 sounds even funnier now.
