The 2003 offense relied on nothing but power as well. We have a lot of power on this team, but we got guys who can hit for average as well. The 2003 team seemed hit or miss.
Great job gang!!
Last year, I think we were able to get Pods in b/c there were 2 Yankees on the ballot. If there was only 1, I think Pods would have lost.
And that may not neccesarily be a bad thing. The Cubs are stupid for not even trying it. He did a pretty decent job in relief last year before surgery.
I read in his book Juiced that when he was with the Rangers one year, he threw 1 inning, gave up 3 runs. He said that on his MLB card, his pitching line is on their first, with a career ERA of 27.00
When Interleague play was created it was so fans could see teams and players they didn't get to see. I think they should now let fans see a style of ball they don't get to see. Have the DH for games in NL parks, and have the pitcher hit for games in AL parks.
To be honest with you, that's pretty sad. To think that you'll only be able to win if a key player from an opponent is injured. Says a lot about what you think of your own team.
WOW! 2 HR's were robbed yesterday. Did anyone see Gary Matthew's catch. That was sick. That's right up there w/ Rowands full-speed crash into the wall for play of the year
