Allen hammered a club record 37 homers to lead the league and also was the league leader in RBI's (113) while Hitting .308. Carlos May also hit .308 with 12 homers and 68 RBI's. Wilbur Wood Continued his amazing pitching with a 24-17, a 2.51 ERA and 49 games started, amtching a club record set by Ed Walsh in 1908. Wood and his two other starting mates Stan Bahnsen (21-16) and Tom Bradley (15-14) started 130 of 154 games played for the club. New Relief ace Terry Forster (6-5) set a club record of 29 saves. For having the club in first place as late as Aug 12, Chuck Tanner was named Manager of the Year and personnel Director Roland Hemond as Executive of the Year.

Right now Juan is made out of Plastic. I think his injuries are worse that anybody wants to say. In fact I tell many people down here (Being form his Home town) That his best years are behind him. Anyways Juan is thinking of Retiring before 2008 to assume a carrer in Politics. He wants to run for Mayor for our City
