  1. Forgot about Hardaway, what he's saying makes a ton of sense. Can't wait to see what this team looks like in 2014.
  2. If time is not an issue once I start working I'm gonna go back to training/pursuing a wrestling career. Its been 5 years since I had any kind of training but after the Summer of Punk last year I have the itch again. I've got a buddy who's the world champ for a very small time promotion (ARW) and he's had me meet the promoter (Rex Hart) and he likes my size.
  3. Howard said he is going to see how comfortable he is in LA and that will be the deciding point on whether he stays or goes to Dallas....thats exactly the thing I wouldn't wanna hear from a superstar my favorite team just acquired. The Dwight dramas not over and I'm glad he's not a Bull. No thank you.
  4. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 10:53 PM) Hotter than Kustok, but meh. Kustok had a bubbly personality that made her attractive. I don't even know who this new girl is, but its obvious they just picked someone who looks pretty. If thats the criteria then just make her wear a bikini doing interviews, I say. No way...New girls the definition of meh. Great win by the Sox....THIS IS REAL!
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) These are the days when I wish Derrick would recruit some of these guys. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2011/01/05/ano...nba-super-trio/ Don't know how that'd work with 2 6'3" PGs but they have all talked. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 03:02 PM) Once again, it's at least 90% certain that Noah would be involved in the trade, higher in Love's case. You have to be able to match salaries, and by the time Minnesota is forced to trade Love, Deng's deal will have expired and Boozer will probably be amnesty'd already. Unless they grossly overpay Taj, Noah would be their only option. Given that Love is a bad defender (while Dwight is a DPOY), that's pretty important. Love has already started rumbling about wanting out of Minnesota, Deng may still be around.
  6. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) He'd be a great fit offensively, but Dwight is a better player and was just traded. The Bulls might be chasing 5 teams by the time Love is actually available. Unless we can hold onto Taj in the trade, I'd rather have Love/Noah over Dwight/? A Love/Noah/Rose core would be phenomenal. I don't care if Kirk and Butler are the starting 2/3 with them that combo would be really really good.
  7. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 01:54 PM) Love may or may not stay, and he's not available right now so it's moot. If you keep waiting for your chances to get studs, you end up losing out while other teams actually do something. Boozer averaged 3 shots made outside of 9 feet last year, and that was the most he had in a while. He's just not a good enough shooter to create significant space for Rose. But at the very least Boozer is a threat from mid range. Love is the much better option. I'm also excited to see how much working with Kareem will help Noah....I'd really hate to see that progression on another team, esp if D12 walks.
  8. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 01:31 PM) Boozer isn't exactly Dirk Nowitzki. Anything you lose from the ability to hit maybe 2 mid-range jumpers a game is easily made up on their dunking prowess on pick and rolls, actually finishing if the big slides over to help on Derrick, or their improved finishing in transition. Plus they're guys that actually draw double teams, which would create cutting lanes for Derrick on the kickout. You're kinda screwed if they don't re-sign, but how is that any different if you get Love in a year or two? That's a risk you have to take and the Lakers clearly aren't worried about it. They know he has to give up an extra year and more money if he wants to walk. Loves good friends with Rose, if he comes he's likely to stay IMO. Boozer makes more mid range shots than he does at the rim. Dwight would be nice, there's no denying that, but if it means getting rid of Noah+ and Dwight doesn't come back then I'd just rather have Noah+ and not deal with Dwights drama he's sure to have at the end of the season.
  9. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 01:04 PM) Noah would be gone in either trade. Even if he somehow stayed, they wouldn't clog the lane anymore than Noah and Boozer do now. Do Howard or Bynum have a mid range game like Boozer? (no I'm not saying Boozers better than either of them before someone thinks im that stupid) What happens if we trade Noah and Howard/Bynum don't resign?
  10. I sure would love to see Noah and Howard/Bynum clogging the lane so our superstar D Rose can drive into all that traffic. I'd rather have a Kevin Love next to Noah to stretch the floor. I'll sit back while your heads explode.
  11. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 12:21 PM) He relied on jumpers a lot more last year and completely disappeared in the finals. Also, Jones is crazy-athletic, but there's a reason he wasn't a lottery pick. He's still a work in progress, he wasn't even that dominant at Baylor. With scorers like KD, Russell, and Harden as long as he utilizes his great athleticism to play great D he'll make an impact. Lined up next to Iblocka SHOULD be an intimidating force, esp going up against Miami who loves to drive.
  12. He's on the same level he was 2 years ago when they lost, nothings ever written in stone...If Perry Jones plays to his potential OKC is gonna be be really scary next year too. A Westbrook-Harden-Durant-Jones-Ibaka lineup on the floor at the same time would be ridiculous!
  13. This is all very intriguing to me now, thanks for the info shirtless Tim Tebow. From what I've read this thing is not going very far correct? Just millimeters at a time right?
  14. Excuse my ignorance but what exactly is the point of this, I've always wondered.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 07:35 PM) Problem is with ADA and Youk being out, it's an extremely thin bench. When AdA comes back give him a day at DH. He's battling a bad back so thats not a bad idea imo. Maybe even a few games, Dunns bat speeds looking really slow and I think sitting him a few days would benefit him greatly.
  16. Whens the last time Adam got a day off?? Looks like he needs one.
  17. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 06:01 PM) Are you Soxman 2nd City Saint ? A hero never tells.
  18. There will be no need for a game winning hit, I'm calling a big first inning.
  19. Bears signed Rashied Davis. Welcome back guy. Devin who?? Dane you can stop with the backflips.
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 6, 2012 -> 04:32 PM) Exhaust pipe? That seems to be the popular answer and something I will get checked, I thank ya QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Aug 6, 2012 -> 04:39 PM) Sounds like you need a new Johnson rod in there. by johnson rod you mean exhaust pipe right lol any idea how much that would cost??
  21. We have any mechanics on board?? Heres a question I posted on yahoo answers. Why is my car so loud? Hey, I've got a 97 Saturn SL that sounds like a muscle car. It has a loud rumble that gets worse when I hit the A/C (at least for the moment I flip it on, can't tell if the constant rumble is louder). The muffler was replaced, and its gotten 2 oil changes since the loud rumbling has began so that should eliminate those responses. I'm thinking maybe the A/C compressor or Cat Convertor? I'm really not sure, what can you tell me? Anyone here on board got any ideas?
  22. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 11:04 PM) For the god knows what multiple of times I've said this, the Bulls are not remotely in a position to bid on a stud SG next year unless they amnesty Boozer and dump Deng while taking no salary back. That second one is a bit of a stretch because 1) This team has usually been really attached to their own players, and 2) you have to find a team that's under the cap and willing to absorb basically Deng's entire contract. Oh, and also the most important part, 3) signing someone that's a big enough upgrade over Deng to also negate cutting Boozer loose. Unless they do both of those things, they won't have nearly enough space to sign anyone for over the MLE. In other words, we're having basically this same argument next year unless the Bulls actually grow a pair. I knew you were gonna find that lol I hesitated to post it. That may be the plan, I just dont see the point in signing a good young SG to a 1 year contract if it wasn't. I agree this thread is turrable right now. At this point there's nothing to say that isnt just total BS speculation/projections.....I've greatly contributed to this but you never wanna bait a jobless basketball junkie, I can go all day. WHOOPS the thread actually webt a different direction....disregard.
  23. Bulls have had fantastic team chemistry the last few seasons, a guy like Mayo who misses practices, and gets suspended for drugs doesnt seem like the professional Thibs would want on this team. But then again we did try to trade for him a few years ago so I'm probably wrong with that logic. With them only signing Bellinelli to a 1 year contract I'm lead to believe they'll be going after one of the stud SGs next year....We've all called this a lost year including myself so whats the point of throwing a multi year contract at Mayo when he could turn out to be a clubhouse cancer and there will be better options next year....yes i know "wait till next year yawnnnnnnnnn"
  24. You guys seemed to want Courtney Lee...Why not Bellinelli who has VERY similar numbers? Why is one ok and one grade f horses*** or whatever. We knew Butler was gonna get a bigger role. I also seem to remember a lot of people on here calling for the Hinrich signing....It wasnt a great offseason, but with what was out there I dont think it was terrible like youre all saying.
  25. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 02:16 PM) How many games has Rip missed the last 4 years? Hint: it's a lot. Touche. Thats the risk you take with older players.
