Ill take a Peavy-Grienke-Sale-Q-Humber/Danks rotation over hit or miss Floyd in the rotation.

Id rather we get someone who can play both SG/SF, I'm still not sold Deng will be back at the begining of the year so getting someone who can start at SF when he's gone and then backup at SG/replace Rip when Deng's back is more ideal. Someone like a Courtney Lee or a Gerald Green. Pre Deng Hinrich/Teague Rip/Butler Lee/Butler Boozer/Taj Noah/Asik Post Deng/Pre Rose Hinrich/Teague Lee/Rip Deng/Butler Boozer/Taj Noah/Asik 100% Rose/Hinrich Lee/Rip Deng/Butler Boozer/Taj Noah/Asik

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 17, 2012 -> 11:41 AM) Any chance for rock interference setting up a triple threat with the rock, punk and cena for ss? That could at least make things interesting. That would be something I'd love to see. -

Really liked seeing Swagger and Ryback...think those 2 can put on a good show....After todays Raw I'm really hoping for the following card at Summer Slam Brock vs HHH Punk vs Cena (Cena wins @ #1000, Punk gets rematch here) Bryan vs Miz Ziggler vs Jericho AJ vs Eve Kofi/Truth vs All World Swagger vs Ryback EDIT Del Rio vs Mysterio (didnt see the first 40 min of Raw till after I posted this) Sheamus vs Show Somethin like that sounds perfect to me! -

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 16, 2012 -> 05:02 PM) Its a risky prop bet. If you think GB is going to win the division, bears are fighting a lot of teams for the Wild Card. I think the bears make the playoffs, but its not a for sure thing. I think the bears can compete with GB for the division, 7-3 before injuries and no Brandon Marshall. One of his reasonings was Jay Cutler put on 22 pounds.... -

some guy on facebook wants to bet me 200 the bears dont make the playoffs...told him id feel bad for accepting such a ridiculous bet....I cant see them not making the playoffs! -
If we can resign him I'd give up Q, Jones, and Mitchell maybe even Castro/Hernandez if it takes that much
-
Jon Heyman on the rundown reports their in on Grienke as well. (Didnt read the article above, hopefully its not by Heyman or id feel dumb) Hard to tell what we'd give up but I'd be one happy panda should it happen....Mitchell, Castro, and Jones?? If Crains expected to come back healthy I wouldn't be against trading Jones.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 12:31 AM) Well having Cena in Money in the Bank is one way to set up Punk/Cena at Summerslam. Big Shocker I was right. I was forced to watch this on my POS computer that doesn't even play youtube videos so it was pretty frustrating trying to watch it. I got the just of all the matches and it was all pretty predictable and boring. It'll be interesting to see whats next for D. Bryan...I'm damn near certain it'll be Punk/Cena at Summerslam so they need to build that up somehow... The tag team division is a mess...The Tag champs wrestle on the pre show, and its not against the number 1 contenders, who did wrestle on the ppv, and lost...Excellent booking guys...smh -
Well at the very least hes worth a look, obviously because he is indeed getting a look by the Bulls. Would you be angry at the signing Kyyle? In no way am I about to compare him to Rose but what kind of numbers did Rose put up in high school?? Once again just out of curiosity, no comparisons. Beverely put up 30+ per game for Marshall. Another plus over Lucus is Bev is a lot more lanky than JL3. Bev shot 38% from downtown in the euros so he's not exactly terrible from beyond the arc. I would not be the least bit disappointed if either him, Jonny Flynn, or Demitri McCammey are brought on as our 11th or 12th man next year. Next year I think Kirk will be the backup SG if all things stay the same financially so bringing in one of those guys would just be insurance.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 13, 2012 -> 06:36 AM) Hard for me to get excited about a 6'1" 185 lb player that hasnt even sniffed the NBA. I know I'm late to the party on discussing Beverely (I've been celebrating my birthday the past couple days) but I wanted to throw my 2 cents in there. To go along with the points made about Lin being waived a couple times, and the fact that 2 of the better PGs in the league are 6'0'' and 6'1" (Paul and Rondo). From all the reports I've read this guy is a real good scrappy defender, and he plays much bigger than his size. The guys a tremendous rebounder for someone his size, he lead Arkansas in rebounding his Sophomore year (6.6) including a 14 point 15 rebound game against LSU. In the Euro league he averaged 7 rebounds per game while averaging nearly 17ppg. Also not that it matters, he won the slam dunk competition out there as well so he can obviously play above the rim....All that said I think he's potentially more of a poor mans Rondo/Westbrook (smaller guys that play bigger than they are) than JL3 V2. Only way he gets minutes though is if they plan on using Kirk at SG, which at this point in time is not a bad idea.

Dunn and Peavy, happy to not play
2nd_city_saint787 replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I was hoping to see Dunn get in there to face Kershaw with the bases loaded, Dunn owns Kershaw! -
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 10:03 AM) If only. I remember he JUST signed an extension last year. 4 more years left on his contract. He has an opt out clause that would make him a FA after 2 more seasons. I would love Love on this team, he's far and beyond my fav none Bulls player in the league.

Werent we all talking about trading Thornton a few weeks ago?? -
Has anyone bartered before?? I watched a barter show on tv and decided to give it a shot with my rarely used Xbox and after 1 day of it being on craigsslist I've got 2 offers, the best being a treadmill, AND a row machine, AND a speed bag!

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 02:37 PM) You'd be lucky to get 40 games out of those two. Billups tore his Achilles and is 36. Rip: see the last 4 years. Just need Billups to stay healthy until Rose comes back... It'd be nice to have him healthy all year though, a 4th Quarter lineup of Rose-Billups-Deng-Taj-Noah would be pretty sexy.
-
QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 02:40 PM) I really think chemistry, continuity and familiarity is being under rated. If you just sign a bunch of new guys, regardless of how good those guys are, I don't think there's going to be enough chemistry on that team to be as good as we were in 2010-2012 (pre Rose injury). Well unless CJ and Korver come back for less money its gonna be pretty hard to keep that continuity.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 02:10 PM) Very little, probably below the mini-MLE I'd guess. Can't commit much money to him after he played like 20 games last year. I'd take a gamble on him, pair him up with Rip again and hope they both stay healthy. If they can't stay healthy then you just write off the season but if they both stay healthy, then i think the bulls are still a top 4 team in the east. Give me Billups, Willie Green, and Joel Pryzbilla and call it an offseason Pre Rose= Billups/Teague - Rip/Green - Lu/Butler - Boozer/Taj - Noah/Pryzbilla
-
How much you guys think Billups gonna make this season? He's the guy I want if they can afford him, a SG/SF, and a C (Like Willie Green and Joel Pryzbilla)

I'm the only 275 pound man dumb enough to bike 8 miles and play an hour+ of basketball in 96 degree weather.....sooo exhausted
