  1. Just mowed the lawn in a trash bag and hoody with my gut covered in hemroid cream and wrapped in plastic wrap...Sweats even drenched my shorts, looks like i wet myself....legit way to lose some lbs??? or dumb as hell
  2. It appears Edwin Ubiles, last years D-league rookie of the year, may join the Bulls Summer league team. He was also All NBA D-League First team....How many guys like this, who are real good in the D-League, make it to the nba and are productive?? He's a 6'6" SG/SF.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 11:43 PM) It's all about UNC's style of play. Kendall Marshall was an incredible pg last year, and Zeller was one of the best post player in the country. However, that team needed Henson's defense to anchor their fast break style. Barnes was just a gunner for them, and never once last year did I watch him and think "this guy is going to be a star in the NBA" Dengs wasn't exactly a "star" either, their college numbers are comparable. A lot of people are saying Barnes potential is Deng, add in the money saved that can be put towards a SG and the trade is a win.
  4. I really hope Teddy Lomg isn't the new GM...How cool would it be if theres some kind of stipulation where if Brock wins at summerslam Heyman gets to take over as GM....Or Ric Flair...
  5. QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 04:16 PM) IMO Barnes will be better than Deng for the rest of his career... I remember when he first came into UNC he was being hyped as a Lebron type prospect. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) Anybody who compared him to LeBron should be shot. The hype he got wasn't any higher than any other #1 player in the country. Luol Deng was the consensus #2 player in the country coming out of high school behind LeBron. Basing your belief that he will be better than Deng on his high school hype is unbelievably stupid. I think being named the first ever freshman preseason All American is getting a lot of hype...I wasnt trying to say he was going to be the next lebron as he obviously is not. Even if he ends up being a Deng lite from a financial standpoint its the right move, put it this way Barnes alone may not be as good as deng but I think Barnes and the cap space next year that can be put towards a starting SG is better than just Deng... Forgot to grab the quote from whoever said "if hes there at 5"....If he's not there, then that might mean Bradley Beal or Gilchrist are there. Worst case scenario at #5 is the draft goes Davis-Barnes-Gilchrist-Beal 1-4 at which point we'd have to settle with Lamb. I think Drummond or Robinson go somewhere in the top 5 and the Bulls can take whoever drops to 5.
  6. I gotta go, Imma stick by my belief that Barnes will be better than deng for the rest of dengs career....Hes the one player Ive actually followed in college

That hype thing was just something i threw out there, not what i based my belief off of -ACC Rookie of the year -Freshman All American -Most points in an Ncaa tourney by a UNC freshman in nearly 35 years -High School Player of the year -2010 and 11 preseason All American thats what my belief is based off of and I said he'll be better than Deng for the rest of his career...I think Deng is only a 15 PPG guy the rest of the way, I can see Barnes being what Deng was a few years ago 17+ ppg
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 04:26 PM) Let's acquire BJ Mullens, then. BJ Mullens didnt even start in college...Barnes was the ACC Rookie of the year then averaged 17ppg last year....Big difference I could go on and on with stats that show he's a better prospect then (in a Stephen A Smith voice) B..J... Mullens.
  9. IMO Barnes will be better than Deng for the rest of his career... I remember when he first came into UNC he was being hyped as a Lebron type prospect.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 03:10 PM) The tractor tire itself is going to be of great use. I would start out with what I call "around the tire" This is a 45 min workout (sets of 10 min on 2 off. you can start with 5 min if its killing you) 10 min on 2 min off Do this circuit as many times as you can within the 10 min tire obviously laying on its side Pushups (arms on tire at first if its hard and graduate to feet on tire) 20 Crunches (feet on tire) 20 Mountain climbers (both hands on tire shuffle feet up and back one at a time) 20 each leg Tire dips (tricep dips) 20 Toe touches (stand there and touch your toe on top of tire alternating) 20 each foot Start again When 10 min is up we can move to another tire circuit, we will do each circuit twice for a roughly 45 min workout "Tire flip and jump" grab tire, squat it up and flip the SOB. Jump into middle, then to other side then flip again. 10 times One legged squats (one leg on tire in a lunge position) 10 each leg Plank and reach (you can use the tire for your feet or not) Both feet on tire in a plank position put a cone or something just out of your reach and reach for it with one arm at a time. 20 count. Should be 10 min or so, take a 2 min break and do both again. This would be a killer cardio/strength day with basically just using the tire and body weight. That sounds like a plan man...where can I fit in some sledgehammer work?? Last summer I would just flip from one side of the yard to the other, one side has a tree i prop it up on to swing across the body, and the other side I swung over the top..Oh and right now I have another solid tire wedged into the tractor tire for even more added weight so jumping in the middle wont happen. Really need to find a buddy with a truck so I can go grab another one....Jake right now I'd say I'm perhaps well below the 3500 cal mark you set but the protein intake is no where where it should be. Right now I'm in a single income 3 person household so a good high cal meal hasnt been seen since Ive been out of work...Raisin Bran, oatmeal, or eggs for breakfast...a sandwich, ramen, or leftovers for lunch...A lot of chicken based dinners, or slow cooked meat that will last us 2 days.....My metabolism is for s*** EDIT: this seems like an appropriate place to ask....Does anyone here have a bike collecting dust in there garage I can take off their hands?? If need be I can throw you 25 bucks (my 25th bdays coming up so i get some $$)...or I have a 400 dollar trek that needs 150 dollars worth of work to it, Ill trade you....It never hurts to ask
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 18, 2012 -> 02:48 PM) I would try and lean down until you are in the teens before trying to bulk back up but thats just me. 28% is technically obese. So for routines are you looking for just stuff to do around the house or are you going to a gym/park? around the house as im presently unemployed...as I stated before I have a bench, one 45 pound dumbbell, resistance cords(that I have recently added to the bench), a tractor tire, and a sledgehammer. Basically I was wondering if i should do tire work on a day by its self or if I should do it on a lift day... http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/1...8_4534260_n.jpg this is me.
  12. Gee thanks for all the info guys, I love that we have so many pros on here yet no one gave me a workout routine to follow, youre all great. I know I need to shed weight, and that will come with the weight training. I'm not some big blob over here at 292, like I said 2 years ago I went to an army recruiter at 315 and was only 2% body fat away from being able to join (I have a felony on my record so all hopes of that were crushed there). According to the military website thatd make my bf% 28% at 315, thats not tooooo bad....
  13. Not sure if there is any facts to this.. http://tracking.si.com/2012/06/16/chicago-...ction=si_latest Main reason im posting this is whats up with that [R]egardless...can anyone make sense of this
  14. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 09:46 AM) lol remember when you were trying to give P90X advice? Sorry brother, but P90X DOES work - I just had a bunch of clients finish Day 90 yesterday. Losses of 25, 35, 44 pounds. Amazing stuff. I put on almost 10 pounds of muscle myself. If it got stale, the issue aint the DVDs, it's between the ears. The issue is the lack of weights/a 2nd dumbell... I was using the resistance bands in place of the pull ups and have got as far back as I can go and the resistance still wasnt enough, I could realistically do 20+ reps. Once I get a job and buy another dumbell and a pull up rack I may go back to it. Awhile back I went to join the military and I was 2% body fat away from being able to join and I was 315 at the time so I'm a big country strong guy and need something different. I wanna get BIG, right now, with the bands, I'll just tone up. The fact that I wasnt able to get any clients really put a damper on the whole p90x thing too. Guess the whole if I can do it you can do it angle didnt work.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 17, 2012 -> 04:23 PM) Yes, but why would the first place Reds trade him away? And then again, given his injury history and the fact that he is currently on a rehab assignment, why would you want him? Todd Frazier has been pretty damn good filling in at 3rd. I'm not sure I do want him just throwing his name out there as a possibility. If his injury was what was holding him back early in the year (sound familiar?) then depending on what it takes to get him I'd take a flyer on him.
  16. I'd give Q another inning or 3, his pitch counts still under 70 right?
  17. along with the last 2 posters I've supported Zach so I'm cool with this...I hope he performs well and shuts up all the critics on this board
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 09:56 PM) Try out for the Bears? If only the held open tryouts..What a story thatd be lol I refused to play high school ball because they insisted on playing me on the Oline and I wasnt feeling it... I was and still am a great tackler and I wasnt gonna play if I couldnt hit someone.
  19. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 09:48 PM) Fun little debate my friends and I had. What combination of 12 players today from the United States would have the best chance at knocking off the dream team? We all agreed that the chances would be slim but its still fun to put a team together. Right now id go with... PG Paul/Rondo (with DRose Hurt) SG Kobe/Wade SF Durant/Lebron/Melo PF Love/Bosh/Garnett C Howard/Aldridge
  20. Ok so now that my body is feeling good again (I was a lil dinged up from rugby) I need to start working out again. Since I stopped doing p90x I've gained 15 pounds and it's killing me. p90x started getting stale with me, I use the heaviest resistance bands I found and I still feel I can do much more. I want size, I wanna sculpt my 295 lbs into a 255 brock lesnar type body. I've got a bench, one 45lb dumbell, a tractor tire, and a sledge hammer. What sort of routine should I follow? Make me a routine and I'll follow!
  21. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 01:49 PM) For DENG. Not NOAH. I'm a huge Barnes fan so I'd think about the trade, but Garcia for a year doesnt excite me whatsoever, we already have Kyle Korver to fill it up from downtown for a year. Where's the cap man...Does clearing Deng and Boozer while just taking on the #5 pick give them enough for one of those free agent SGs I keep mentioning?? 2013 would be somethin like... Rose Ellis Barnes Taj Noah
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 01:48 PM) Nah, but if he can shoot like he used to from deep, he'd be a nice rotation piece for one year (signed for this year and a team option). You thinking of the right guy??? Garcia shot 29% from 3 last year
  23. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 16, 2012 -> 01:30 PM) Also, the Kings offer is #5 and Garcia for Deng. I take that and run. So you'd make the deal for a 31 year old backup but not a 22 year old starter??
