  1. Bulls rumored to be in on Joel Pryzbilla, the Bucks seem to be the most likely suitor though, Dallas also in on him...in my book Prizzy>Asik.
  2. With Myers and Crain, Nate Jones is the RH "mop up" guy. I don't think there's a team in baseball that has 3 lights out RHP in the pen.
  3. THIS IS....AWESOME! I'm sure a former gold glove 2nd basemen, Orlando Hudson, can get by making a few starts at SS. Or when Lexi needs a day off I'm sure Beckham still has some game over at SS. No need for another RH reliever as others have braught up, Jones right now is the righty "mop up" guy and thats certainly not a bad thing. Myers and Crain will be/are great 7th and 8th inning righties out of the pen. I'm a Santiago fan but I wouldn't mind another south paw out of the pen. Really love this team, I'm glad my early optimism hasn't gone to waste. THIS IS REAL!...THIS IS WHITE SOX BASEBALL!
  4. Not sure if this is the right spot for this but....I've been getting into the bartering biz and I just got an offer for an autographed Sox Scotty Pods authentic jersey for a Wii that I just bought for $30....How much do you think I could get for it? Anyone here wanna throw me an offer?
  5. What do you guys think the plan for Randy Foye was? Before he was signed the Bulls were rumured to be looking into signing him even with the signing of Bellinelli.
  6. Got my PERC card! and i didnt even have to lie =p Now I gotta wait another 4-6 weeks to get the actual thing....I've already waited 2 months...but in the end it'll be worth the wait.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 04:27 PM) Oh my goodness. Would you homers get with the times? KG/Pierce/Allen. Kobe/Gasol/Bynum. LeBron/Wade/Bosh. Durant/Westbrook/Harden. These are the teams getting to the finals/winning it. Maybe in 1994 Rose/Deng/Boozer would've been enough. But not today. Yes, I know what Dallas did in '11. Exception, not rule. Ok, so rose doesn't go down and Bosh still gets hurt? I guess that would've give them a better chance. Does that make you feel any better? Tell me why this strictly an exception? Also Rip actually had a few good games in that first round scoring 10, 17, 19, and 19...Bogans had a grand total of 2 10+ point games in the whole playoffs the year before.
  8. Bulls made it to the ECF with Keith Bogans as their starting SG, having a "healthy" Richard Hamilton for the playoffs could have made the difference. Its not like the Bulls were blown out in all 4 games. Beat me to it. Yes I do believe he could have very well been a difference maker.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 26, 2012 -> 01:21 PM) Why do you continue to ignore last season? Why does the Eastern Conference Championship loss mean more than the debacle last year and the plans moving foward for this team that seems to be stuck in limbo. You really aren't reading what people are typing. If you want to just select teams' best seasons, how is out in 5 in round 3 better than back to back titles in 2009 and 2010? You mean when 2 of our best players got hurt and they still almost won?? I see your argument with RZ, I just wanted to touch base on that bolded statement
  10. Anyone check out the new Gaslight album?? Simply flawless, everything Brian Fallon puts his voice on is pure gold. Hands down my favorite vocalist of all time.
  11. I wanna see the Bulls target Leandro Barbosa, everyone wants a player that can create his own shot and Barbosa he is one of the craftiest guys out there when it comes to just that. He can play a little point too.
  12. Didn't the Grizz GM say something about not trading with the Bulls??
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 01:39 PM) You are silly, but certainly not a malcontent. Why not? season hasn't even started, a man can hope lol. I got high hopes for Butler, I think at the very least he'll be as good as Brewer Bellinelli may not be as good of a 3 point shooter as Korver but he's the more complete player. Take a look at his game logs, he had a rough start then was pretty damn good. I think he's better than Rip as well and should start, in which case Rip>KK. If Rose comes back with any kind of game they can make some noise in the playoffs.
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 24, 2012 -> 01:34 PM) My big issue is - The Bulls are playing for 2014. So Why are we not gutting this team for this coming year and creating future cap space and the possibility of an elite player from coming drafts? Because IMO there's still hope this year when Rose comes back.
  15. Bulls went 18-9 without Rose last year, here's my opinion on what they replaced in the Roseless lineup. Butlers going to be better than Brewer. IMO Bellinelli will be a more complete player than Korver thus making him at the very least equals with KK. I was a CJ fan, I think Hinrich is a SLIGHT drop off. I think Teague will be an upgrade over JL3 Nazr is a drop off defensively but may be an upgrade offensively Rose is going to be back Jan-Mar so he'll have a month or 2 to knock the rust off. Bulls still have the opportunity to make a ton of noise with what they have.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 06:02 PM) Rose returns ahead of schedule in January and leads the Bulls to Finals, where they defeat the Lakers. /ridiculous-optimism-to-counter-ridiculous-pessimism If Noah becomes the monster Kareem thinks he will be, and Rose is at 80-90% come playoff time its possible IMO... EDIT As you all know I'm saying this as one of the biggest homers on the board...THIS IS REAL
  17. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 04:16 PM) Foye is a career 36.6% 3-point shooter that's highly inconsistent with his stroke (see his 32.7 and 34.6% totals the previous two years). Belinelli is a career 39% shooter coming off his worst year (though some would argue that's because he didn't play with Chris Paul). Foye at SG is also a bad idea defensively. And they've known what kind of offer Asik was going to get for weeks. Maybe they were trying to do a sign and trade to get some guards and now that they seen they can't theyre grabbing 2 of the best available. If the plan is to keep Rip, use Bellinelli as the back up SG and Foye as the fifth G I cant see how one can complain...Lee or Mayo woulda been nice but we didnt get them so all things considered I cant complain
  18. Is it possible the Bulls were waiting to see what was gonna happen with Asik before they started doing something? Hoops hype has Bellinelli and Foye in the top 3 of SGs still available. Foye shot a ton of 3's last year and made a respectable 38% of them, better than Bellinelli's respectable 37%.
  19. Looks like the Bulls are looking to sign both Bellinelli and Randy Foye...sign me up!
  20. My argument right now is "I knew I could get in with this company because a worker there before me got in with a non IL felony. I took this opportunity and turned out to be a team leader, it's that kind of opportunity that I'm looking for here today. I proved with my last opportunity to be a more than capable security guard in the state of IL." Hope it works for me.
  21. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 12:18 PM) But was there any better defensive frontcourt duo in the league than Asik/Taj? I don't think so...I'll miss that. Taj is one of the best help defenders in the league, as long as Nazr can stay "big" the Taj/Nazr combo will be just fine. I trust Thibs will get the best out of him defensively.
  22. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 11:22 AM) Yeah, I'm gonna disagree with you. I don't think Nazr is an upgrade over Asik. But on the bright side, I think we've upgraded our bench every where else, especially if we sign Marco Bellineli as it is rumored that we will. I think offensively Nazr>Asik and defensively Asik>Nazr so lets just call it a push. Nazr at vet minimum(I assume)>>> Asik at his contract. ASik annoyed the hell out of me all year so I won't miss him.
  23. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 01:08 AM) Interesting. MT @PeterVecsey1: Nazr Mohammed agreed to sign w Bulls (vs. Nets) meaning they won't match Houston offer match sheet to Asik PeterVecsey1 @dparks24 No. Not positive about offer sheet. Positive about Nazr to Bulls View conversation I dig it. Nazr was stuck behind Ibaka and Aldridge last year. When you compare Omers stats to Nazrs 10-11 stats Nazr looks to be an upgrade on the offensive side and maybe even an upgrade on the boards. In 10-11 Nazr who played in 4 less minutes than Asik averaged 3 more PPG, .2 more rebounds, shot a better FG%, and shot 25% better at the FT line. With Rose gone the Bulls are gonna need every bit of offense they can get, so the clear upgrade offensively in Nazr is a win for me.
  24. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 09:04 PM) No. They can't trade Asik to the Rockets under any circumstances, and they can't trade him for a year without his consent. When I posted that scenario there was no offer to Asik, but ya now they cant. Really hope they don't match. Asiks a great defender but not being able to hold onto the ball really annoys me. Being a terrible free throw shooter really bothers me as well, we heard "Asiks really been working on his free throw shooting lately" all year with no results. I really wouldn't miss him. I trust whoever the Bulls decide on at backup C will be the right choice. There are some good options out there.
