Title of the thread says Illinois "History" , there were many public school rivalries between neighborhoods before the city changed. One I remember was CVS Vs Fenger-those games had to have times & locations changed because of the rift between schools. Rita & Mt Carmel is probably the most enduring-and that spilled over into the games their Hockey teams had. In the state outside the area, Morris has had rivalries for years with other schools as the population shifted West.
