  1. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 30, 2006 -> 12:53 PM) I think hate is too strong a word, but maybe I am insulated here. I almost feel sorry for him. What a terrible time to be President. One natural and/or man made disaster after another. What could he be looking forward to? Actually, I do feel sorry for him. His father was President. He knew what he was getting himself into. I feel sorry for all of us, who have to suffer through his incompetence, and that's not just about Iraq or Katrina, either. Read The Price of Loyalty and tell me you don't feel sorry for this country. Bush embarrasses me in ways that only Jimmy Carter can rival. And neither of them belonged in the Oval Office. PS: He goes fly fishing all the time. Spends much time at his ranch. He's having fun. He has fun. He doesn't read through many of his memos, by all accounts. He leaves the heavy lifting to his political advisors. He allows Donald Rumsfeld free hand over Iraq. He might not be party hahaha happy, but he's okay. I'd be, too, if other people were making my mistakes for me, I didn't do much reading, had an excellent cooking staff and went on vacation frequently.
  2. I don't think it's possible for me to be disappointed in the team if they happen to not repeat, but I can't say I'd be truly satisfied if they did anything less than win it all.
  3. Did you see that today? Dodger went nuts, smashing the hell out of a gatorade container in the dugout in a manner so animated as to make Maddux look like Jon Garland. Who was that player, and why was he so pissed? I caught it on ESPN but not all, and not enough, so that's why I ask.
  4. My condolences are yours, as well.
  5. Congratulations, Mr. Thome!
  6. QUOTE(RME JICO @ May 29, 2006 -> 03:52 PM) They are not flukes right now, but in a couple of weeks they might be. What a limb!
  7. Aren't the Tigers facing Mussina tomorrow? Well s***, they're facing "Small." The Yankees rotation should be, "Small Wang Johnson." Still, the Yankees have some big bats that hopefully will carry them, even if their pitcher's Small.
  8. A bit premature, aren't we?! Okay, no, now it's over. But you made it before! URIBE HOMERED!!

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ May 28, 2006 -> 03:55 PM) vonage for long distance in the US. SKype for international long distance for work. And my cell phone. Hey, all right. I use Skype, too. I love it.
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ May 28, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) Not all, only about 98 percent of them. I hate that damn place. Well, at least you've added nuance to your appalling comments. It makes my heart go pitter pat to think about how much thought you put into that.
  11. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 28, 2006 -> 10:26 PM) I can't wait until 30% of the Hall of fame voters or more are stubborn enough to keep the #2 home run hitter of all time out of the Hall all the way to the Veterans committee. Sometimes I don't think that'll happen. Have you seen the way MLB players, former and current, have stood up for him?
  12. It's going to be a long season.
  13. http://sports.ign.com/articles/710/710357p1.html It's pretty interesting, IMO. I like him much more now than I did before.
  14. What will YOU do to celebrate? (How ironic that the guy who wound up with the ball was some guy buying a hot dog.)
  15. QUOTE(MattZakrowski @ May 28, 2006 -> 05:36 PM) He hasn't looked that bad when I've seen him In addition to the one mentioned specifically, he almost cost us that game against the As Monday when he dropped a routine ball. If it hadn't been for Jenks pitching out of it, there'd have been some problems. And everytime a ball's lined to him, he looks like he's going to collapse in fear.
  16. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 28, 2006 -> 05:12 PM) I'd say Freddy Garcia is easily the AL Cy Young front runner as of right now. Yeah.
  17. What a sophisticated title.
  18. The Toe Licking Bandit: http://www.local6.com/news/9264631/detail.html wow.
  19. Truth is stranger than fiction.

I want an Internet phone, but I've got a traditional homephone.
  21. It's time to sweep Cleveland.
  22. f*** you Rios! f*** Toronto! BOBBY JENKS!!
  23. I'd love to end this f***er's hitting streak.
  24. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 28, 2006 -> 02:54 PM) The whole team's playing better at home right now, and Bobby's been getting a lot more chances at the Cell, so it could just seem like that. This run he's been on lately started in Minny, IMO. Yeah, I think that's about right. Either way, it's good to see him hot.
