QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 13, 2010 -> 04:58 PM) That is some pretty convoluted thinking. Understatement.

QUOTE (T R U @ Oct 11, 2010 -> 08:09 AM) I am completely bored with all of my games so I bought Bioshock from the games on demand section and man, that game is freakin awesome.. I am ashamed I had never gave it a try before.. I feel like im about to beat it since ive been playing the s*** out of it, and will most certainly be going to get Bioshock 2 to hold me over until Black Ops BioShock 2 is completely skippable. It's almost exactly the same as Bioshock except the storyline is lame and the world isn't new and interesting anymore.

Official 2010-11 NFL Thread

I was at the game. After the 2 quick touchdowns, the crowd was ENTIRELY out of it except for some occasional Peppers booing. They knew their offense couldn't make up the deficit. -

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 08:18 PM) These comments came at the "Greater Freedom Rally" Sorry, I should have specified that it's just single women who are engaging in FORNICATION. Nuns are probably ok.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 09:09 PM) What did he do now? Said there shouldn't be gays or single women being teachers.

Arizona requires you to carry your papers

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 26, 2010 -> 03:09 AM) If you can get past the utter ridiculousness of Sam Alito stepping down because he had a personal revelation about the American legal system and that he was also about to get impeached for getting in gambling trouble, and that the main character seems to randomly pick liberal and conservative views, the show isn't really that bad. Ah, I was not aware of the impeachment angle. From what I heard it was a guy who completely changes his worldview at the drop of a hat and decides that the best way for him to enact change is to leave his position as *most powerful judge in the country*. -

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 25, 2010 -> 10:37 PM) NBC has a new TV show "Outlaw" where the basic idea behind it is an uber-conservative Supreme Court justice steps down for various reasons and becomes a trial lawyer. Anyway it had a "ripped from the headlines" case on it on Friday's episode where a cop gets involved with a Hispanic suspect that he was required by law to stop, he asks the guy for ID and he gets belligerent because he is a US citizen and the cop ends up shooting (but not killling) him 3 times. I don't want to summarize the whole plot though in case you watch it. This is one of the worst show premises ever. -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 21, 2010 -> 11:54 PM) That would make a good discussion in the film thread. Stupid MGM screwing things up for a franchise that finally was heading the right direction again Casino Royale was alright (certainly an upgrade of the schlock at the end of Brosnan's era), but Quantum of Solace was nearly unwatchable. I had to turn it off at 30 minutes.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 21, 2010 -> 12:56 PM) Small but deep puncture wound a couple inches from the heart. Like, it actually got through the ribcage? -
Glen Urquart now challenging Christine O'Donnell for craziest candidate in Delaware: "Separation of Church and State" isn't Jefferson; it's Hitler!

What was the actual injury? A small puncture wound? -
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 9, 2010 -> 08:48 PM) Building a mosque (not a community center. It's a community center as much as a catholic church is a community center. Do you really think catholics or jews or athiests will be welcome with open arms?) What Catholic Church has a bookstore, food court, fitness center, swimming pool, basketball court, culinary school, performing arts center, and an auditorium for public performances?

QUOTE (kapkomet @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 11:56 PM) Truth hurts. Last week my grandma tried to go to church, but the Obama Volunteer Corps blocked her from entering.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2010 -> 05:27 PM) Or when the left wing will start talking about freedoms again... The left wing only wants freedoms for the Muslim Terrorists.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Aug 29, 2010 -> 08:47 AM) Couture was the best opponent for Toney. Imagine if Toney fought a bigger, more dangerous heavyweight. Couture talking s*** during the fight was pretty lame though. Toney never stood a chance. Zero takedown defense against a wrestler? It's over.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 27, 2010 -> 02:43 PM) What does this even mean? I'm not talking about politicians, i'm talking about people. The majority of the people in that state voted for a ban. Clearly not ALL of those people were Republicans. You guys act like ONLY republicans are anti-gay, when that's not the case. Of course there are non-Republicans who are anti-gay. It's just that Republicans make it part of their platform.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Aug 27, 2010 -> 01:04 AM) ITS NOT ABOUT RELIGION ITS ABOUT MUSLIMS BEING INSENSITIVE BY WANTING TO PRACTICE THEIR RELIGION! Kap, if it isn't about religion, you need to provide a reason for the rapid opposition to Muslims building a "Ground Zero Mosque" that is at least plausible. And, even if you manage to do that, you're still just using an outliar. The overwhelming majority of the opposition to this comes because they're Muslim. ALL of the opposition is because they're Muslim. And there is significant opposition actually *trying to stop them*. These aren't just crowds of people protesting "hey, building that is rude!". They're trying to screw them with zoning laws, or get the building (and nothing else in the area) declared a historical landmark so no one can build there, or get Congress to investigate the people building it.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Aug 26, 2010 -> 09:49 PM) ugh. it was not a serious matter. it was a last minute matter. if the nation is turning against those people why did more than 50% of a liberal state just decide to ban gay marriage? That was two years ago. 2004 looked like a nice year for an anti-gay platform.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 05:55 PM) Well, I guess that means they all forgot about Rev Wright already. Don't you mean Imam Wright?

QUOTE (Cknolls @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 06:07 PM) QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Aug 19, 2010 -> 10:47 AM) A lot. I'll ask again: how far away does "common sense" dictate it should be? I'll answer like you and crimson: .... Far enough. I believed the implication of your question was that there aren't many Muslims living in the area. I responded by showing that there are enough that additional worship space is needed in that community. Perhaps I am wrong about why you asked, but I did give an answer. Your above response is meaningless.
