QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 12:52 PM) There's a vid of the guy in black turning a car over too. I saw a picture of that, but the caption was that he was trying to prevent people from turning it over. He was the one flipping it?

You'd think a PR firm would realize how awful a move that would be

QUOTE (DonkeyKongerko @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 04:03 PM) http://youtu.be/jGf2QK098OM A few levelheaded Samaritans are all that keep this store owner from being beaten to death. Throw these people into the wilderness

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:51 PM) Whatever it was, YouTube took it down. Damn, that was quick. It's a Canuck's rioter getting hit in the crotch with a flashbang grenade. http://www.riemurasia.net/jylppy/media.php?id=82613

QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 04:02 AM) By that logic Babe Ruth would have been pretty awful. Baseball isn't the game of athleticism that basketball is, but yeah, Babe Ruth would be worse in today's game.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 06:52 PM) And I'm not going to lump touch screens with motion either. Touch screens have been a raging success in other industries already for their effectiveness at control. In those instances, you're touching the screen where all the activity is occurring. For Wii U, you have to look away from the TV and down at your hands.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 11:08 PM) 1) to be able to play the same game but not on a big screen (i.e., combining the ps3 with the psp...something i was hoping sony would announce) and presumably away from the console (that wasn't clarified in the part of the presentation I saw....can you take it to work and continue playing the same game? Or is it limited to a certain range/network with the console?), It streams the screen image from the console; it can't play anything by itself.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 08:30 PM) i'd have to go into it further, but i'd have to first-off ask whether women take more or are offered more. True, though I should say that my last post was in error. I read it again and they don't know that the 2.2% difference was due to women taking part-time/temp positions; that was just their speculative explanation.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 08:15 PM) http://www.statesman.com/opinion/daly-wage...ed-1522741.html The article says the report takes into account the graduates' majors, but does it actually compare the same jobs? Another portion of the report says - to explain why the female grads unemployment rate is lower than males (8.1% vs 10.3%) - says that women take more temporary and part-time positions. Wouldn't that lead to them having lower incomes? http://www.naceweb.org/gender/

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 06:39 PM) To say touch screens are a "gimmick" is stupid. The DS is a testament to that as it's the best selling console of all-time with a software library better than its counterparts. Meanwhile tablets and phones have adapted such technology as their primary interface for a reason: it works. For games, touch screens are a gimmick.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 07:08 PM) It's more hilarious to me that the lemmings in the audience still think she has her history wrong Her history was wrong. Paul Revere never rode on horseback through town, firing warning shots and ringing bells, in order to warn the British that they can't take out guns. She spewed some bulls*** with the basic nuggets she knew (Paul Revere + riding + warning) and tried to find things after-the-fact like Revere's brief interrogation to fit her nonsense. It's like rambling about Michael Jordan scoring so many touchdowns and then pointing out that he played football as a kid when everyone laughs at you. If by clarified, you mean made different statements, which still require very generous interpretations to be accurate.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 4, 2011 -> 04:06 PM) Error code when trying to log onto PS Store. Why am I not surprised? Getting overloaded, keep trying. Also, once you make the 'purchase', if you get disconnected from the store, the download will be in your PSN => account management => transactions.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 20, 2011 -> 07:29 PM) That episode was terrible. Maybe if the writer's focused on writing good episodes instead of working with tv/movie stars it would have been better. I don't understand why they can't just focus on the characters they have instead of using these stupid gimmicks. I though the Ferrell episodes were terrible as well. Generally, they were. And I thought last week's episode, without any lame guest spots, was quite good.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 20, 2011 -> 05:32 PM) WTF was that on The Office last night? The show really should have ended when Michael left. There are some rumors that the British woman, Catherine Tate, will get the new manager role. She did stick out since all the other guest interviewees were big names (Carrey, Romano, Arnett, Spader), but I certainly hope that's not true because she was awful - probably the worst segment of the entire episode. Spader was good.

2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ May 6, 2011 -> 08:36 AM) Also, Gus Johnson is a bit overrated as an announcer. He makes the NCAA Tournament games more interesting and is a fun listen if the game is close, but he's a bit of a one trick pony IMO. Never thought of him as a particularly good football guy to be quite honest. His schtick really works best (by far) with the NCAA Tournament, and both parties need each other in the CBS/Turner marriage to Gus. He's also terrible doing MMA events. Seth Petruzelli defeating Kimbo is the GREATEST UPSET OF ALLLLLLLLL TIME!!!!!!!!!!! -
Last thing I heard was he was shot. That's how they got the body - they had troops there.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 29, 2011 -> 11:24 PM) How can I check what credit card was used? I know my mom's credit card is linked to my PSN account, but I have no idea which one. Usually when you make a PSN purchase, it sends you an email. It should have the last 4 digits of the CC there.
