  1. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 28, 2011 -> 06:49 AM) Pssh, my name is creative as it gets. I challenge you for this title.

  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 12:26 PM) I've seen that play a million times and I still have no clue if he was safe or out. Exactly. I just did a Google search for some sort of new-aged frame by frame website or super slow-mo of the play, but I couldn't find anything. The umpire isn't extremely well positioned, but its too close to argue.
  4. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 11:53 AM) This. I still shake my head when I look at the replays. I still voted for "the catch" though because of the importance of the situation and how he bobbled it. I hate to admit it, but this is the most insane thing I've ever seen on a baseball diamond. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 12:18 PM) Why? He was doing what he was supposed to be doing. And Giambi was arguably safe anyways. I think him doing what he's supposed to be doing makes it even more impressive. That play happens pretty often while the infielders just let the ball roll to the catcher, allowing the run to score without a second thought. As for Giambi being arguably safe, I think the ump got it right, but it's as close to a tie as you can find on a play at the plate.
  5. QUOTE (southsidepride15 @ Apr 26, 2011 -> 10:55 AM) As much as I hate the Yankees and their fans, I think some of those cheers after A-Rod's single were for Humber and his efforts toward a no-hit bid. Cub fans wouldn't even have known the situation let alone applaud it, but I believe the fans last night had some appreciation for what they were witnessing. I was hoping for a nice ovation for Humber when he gave up his first hit, as is customary in most stadiums when an opposing pitcher has a fantastic game, but I didn't get the vibe that any of those cheers were for him. Yankee fans are notoriously narcissistic.
  6. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 08:58 PM) Sergio needs a nickname and not some s***ty one like "The Surge" He doesn't need a nickname when he has a theme song! (see youtube post above)
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 08:55 PM) I predicted like every pitch Sergio threw in the 9th except for like 1. He is too damn predictable. Most closers are pretty predictable, but they get pitches past hitters. That's all it takes.
  8. QUOTE (Andrew @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 08:33 PM) 4 Gold Gloves, ladies and gentleman. 4. the pleasure in it is that Alexei, who deserved the Gold Glove last year, got the hit on it.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 08:27 PM) With a 25 man roster, not for a long stretch. Maybe for long stretches without an off day though. Humber could get a start every 2nd or 3rd time through the rotation to get an extra day off for the rest of the staff.
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 25, 2011 -> 08:20 PM) I don't know who you drop. 6 man rotation? Is it rational?
  11. Oh no, now we're going to find out who gets the next save opportunity! This is what the Sox have been avoiding!
  12. I'd hope I could find some rational thoughts on what's become a really reactive and irrational message board that sometimes shows signs of being an intelligent grouping of baseball knowledge. Then I'd realize that if there's a rough stretch, everyone wants someone fired, just so the team can keep doing the same thing, with a different over-paid, face in the locker room.
  13. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 03:58 PM) Juan Uribe! CRUSHING the Cubbies! He must be comfortable in Chicago
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 03:55 PM) I need some f***ing mental rest I turned off the alerts my phone gets and only casually paid attention to the game last night. The mental rest helps after the long losing streak, I recommend it.
  15. QUOTE (Karko's Throat Skin @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 12:31 AM) We must celebrate like Juan Uribe does...with WHITE WOMEN!!!!! That's hardly the type of woman I'd imagine the fine Juan Uribe going after.. but I suppose he's got enough booty for both of them.
  16. QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Apr 19, 2011 -> 02:16 PM) Maybe somebody should start a "Priceline" type business dealing with sports tickets. Instead of getting empty hotel rooms, etc... cheap, you get empty seats at sporting events cheap. Just throwing it out there that this already exists.. http://mashable.com/2010/12/15/scorebig/
  17. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) Curious why this doesn't get mentioned ad nauseum like it did for Viciedo last year. 2 BBs in 104 ABs last year for Viciedo and 0 in 47 ABs for Morel this year yet no one really mentions it. Because Morel actually plays defense??
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 03:49 PM) How does Omar continue to be successful at baseball at the age of 65? intelligence
