  1. Phillies just went station to station to tie their game in the bottom of the 9th.... ... And they finish it off with a Mayberry liner to center. 6 singles in the 9th, 3 runs.
  2. I hope Adam Dunn sees a lot of this situation. 2nd and 3rd, no outs.
  3. Juan Pierre has used the same glove for a decade: Video
  4. Anyone else looking forward to getting a glimpse of the Pirates against the Cubs? I'm not a fan of the Bucs overall philosophy, but I feel like guys like McCutchen, Alvarez and Doumit can be Major League stars if they were on a better team. If they had any starting pitching worth talking about, they could fight to go .500 and mess up that division race like Cleveland does in the AL Central every year.
  5. OOPS! Wrong Thread.. Opening Day does this to me.
  6. Coincidentally, I make the schedules for my retail establishment.. and this is the first Friday I've been off in months. Strange how that happens.. GO SOX! LET'S DO THIS THING!
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 05:33 PM) Geez, it was only one game. He was spectacular last year. I'm sure he's got a decent amount of rope. He was good.. but The Brewers have other options that they seem to like a lot.
  8. Anyone think Axford will still be Milwaukee's closer by the end of May?
  9. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 04:23 PM) Kinda off topic but what's Miguel Montero projected to be like in 2011? Should I drop AJ for him? He'll hit around .275, maybe 15 homers. His questionable attribute is his health.. 2 of the last 3 years, he's played less than 90 games.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 01:47 PM) The ones behind the plate that are like 3 grand? I wonder what a reasonable price point for those seats would be.. How could the Yankees fill the seats, while keeping them lucrative?
  11. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 01:17 PM) is it just me, or are you guys noticing a lot of empty seats in yankee stadium? You mean like.. almost all of them that are in view of the TV cameras? If I recall correctly, this is a pretty common sight at Yankee stadium.
  12. Mark Kotsay sighting! and he strikes out! Ah... the fond memories..
  13. Brewers look great. Reds.. not so much.
  14. CC Sabathia is a 3 start pitcher for the first match-up, eh? That's not a bad deal.
  15. I'll be watching Detroit v. NYY until the Brewers/Reds game starts. I think I'll stick on that for a while and then watch the end of the SD/STL game and give myself a nightcap of SF/LA. Sidenote: Why the hell aren't the Giants opening the season at home!?
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 10:07 PM) This league is literally going to make me insane. I go to check on the availability of the 1% owned in standard Yahoo! leagues, Andrew Cashner, and he's taken. And it's not like he was just scooped up in the last couple days. He was drafted! I've probably done this about a or dozen times so.. my mental reaction is the same each time "REALLY!? SOMEONE DRAFTED HIM!?" My other league is an 8 team standard league and I look at my team in that league compared to this league and it's like looking at the Yankees and the Pirates, but I feel like I've got a chance in both leagues. This league will certainly be a great time.
  17. This thread caused me to fire up my tailgate grill last night. Consider me pumped to get to the ballpark.
  18. As kind of beer snob, this is pretty exciting. It that stand only on the lower level?
  19. QUOTE (YASNY @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 08:56 PM) Hi Oh Silva, Away! :lolhitting I see what you did there.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 20, 2011 -> 09:54 PM) How can you forget...................Dirty 30. They'd have to throw his goofy grin on it too. I'd rather have a Boone Logan.
