Capn12

they keep these swings up, gonna be yet another quick inning.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 09:21 PM) This game is over. lollerskates THE SKY IS FALLING!!

s***ty quick inning again for the offense...

70 pitches through 5 IP for BMac...that works for me

Bleh...3 quick outs on our end, to the bottom of the 4th we go

what the f*** was that swing Meathook? Mac with 3 Ks in that inning. But lets keep talking about those 2 ER he gave up!!

Cotts isn't gonna be pitching 5 innings in 1 game ANYTIME soon.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 07:54 PM) PK IS THE GOD OF SOLO HOMERS WHAT A CLUTCH BEAST! Actually I tihnk thats Jermaine Dye

did we just give up a HR to Chris f***ing Shelton?

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) Thank you, Carl, AJ, and Crede. Juan Uribe is ass. IMO, he's so close to losing the starting job. To who....journeyman Pablo Ozuna? Ozuna makes a great utility guy, not a starter.

Wild pitch 2-0 SOx, Crede on 2nd

Holy s***! Crede RBI

lollerskates. Carl shoulda been out there, AJ moves to 2nd

Could have easily been called a hit if he didn't boot it so far away.

I'm still pretty sure that unless KW finds a 3rd baseman that is above and beyond Crede in all areas, we don't make a deal. Credes defense is vastly overlooked by the masses. Every player in a lineup isn't going to hit .300....just simple fact. You have those players that hit .250-.260 but give you so many other things that you live with it. Credes defense allows him to hit .250ish IMO. When our 1-3 in the order aren't getting on base, thats when we lose...not when Crede pops up (again)

Good luck with that Cashman. If Sheff plays hardball with the no-trade clause, you are s*** out of luck.

Heh kman..its been a LONG time since I've started a gamethread. And I felt McCarthy needed some love! So I'm putting my 2-0 record on the line!

QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Jun 29, 2005 -> 01:29 AM) Neither I would love to have Mike Morse as our SS right now.... The guy is hitting 0.395, 1 HR, 9 RBI, 2 SB, 0.461 OBP in 24 games Yeah, small sample size but he looks promising. Please note I am not whining about the Freddie trade. I still think it was a great trade as we have a solid starting pitching core for now and the near future, and I have no qualms with the trade whatsoever given hindsight is always 20/20......but it sure would look promising right now if we had Morse playing on this team. A grinder like him low in the order would be awesome....with that average he would have 3 times the RBI here and at least 3 times the runs scored with Pods, Guch, Frank batting after him (assuming he would play in the #9 hole) I'm hoping you are saying this crap just to get a rise out of people. Ya, lets drool over a kid that has 78 career ABs at the big league level. Not to mention that Uribe can play a better SS defensively with a broken arm, than Morse could. Lets use bigger sample sizes before we proclaim Mike Morse the next Alex Rodriguez at SS. I'll take Juan Uribe at SS over Mike Morse 7 days a week, twice on Sunday.

CWS: RHP Brandon McCarthy • 0-1, 8.40 ERA in 2005 • Has never faced DET DET: RHP Jason Johnson • 5-6, 3.35 ERA in 2005 • 0-1, 5.40 ERA in 2005 vs. CWS Get it done McCarthy....time for MLB win #1

QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) This by far has to be my favorite....considering santo=dorf's avatar and sig....... HAHA...kinda funny looking back at that thread with santos current avatar and sig including Hermy =P

We need to overpay for a potential backup SS? Ozuna is servicable when Uribe needs a day off. I'll keep those 2 at SS thanks.

Simple fact is...OMIT has options left. He rarely plays anymore. Willie brings alot more versatility to the club. So therefore, KW will probably keep OMIT But I'm pretty sure 95% of us want Willie here and OMIT gone. Time shall show us. Also, lets make sure Gload actually stays healthy enough to come join the big team again.

If I happen to catch it on, I'll stop and watch it. But only for one reason: Don Vito. That fool talks so fast and so slurred, thats some funny stuff to me.

QUOTE(Tadahito15 @ Jun 28, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) You guys gotta check out his picture from gameday. He looks like an extraterrestrial! No joke. Check it out LOLler skates....haha he does look a bit odd. And now it is tied at 8. What a f***ing joke that bullpen is.

And the live game Royals bullpen tryouts continue. Leo Nunez is in now
