Hey Show, what image software do you use? I'd love to make some fantastically amazing signatures, but my stuff blows on my PC
-
yeah, and its got a bad misspell in it...i feel like a Spelling Bee flunkie!!
-
Oh f***...it musta been late when i made that one.... my spelling and capitalizing skills are defunct bad!!
-
hmmm, is it that way for everyone? I checked the url, all looks ok, and I can go straight to it via url....not sure why it wouldnt be showing up

4 yrs at 40 mil, i could live with....when we get into the Teens in terms of millions for one player, considering this teams payroll will never exceed 70 mill, thats where I have a problem with it. BTW, abozichiu, even I can poke fun at my boy Koch, as evident by my sig.

I can see no reason whatsoever, besides $$$, that Manuel should be back in 2004. Unfortunately, with JR, $$$ is the only reasons he considers
-
Well, IMO, they should do what they can to restructure that 2004 deal with Maggs, thats more than 20% of our payroll right there. And about the Padres deal, I can't see them trading away Khalil and Nady, much less for someone they don't really need now, like WS99 said, they have 2 corner OFers now. I'd have trouble rooting for Khalil in Chi-Town, but I'd get over it. The kid has talent, just have my reasons for not liking him
-
Guaranteeing that Jose Valentin is not on the 2004 roster should be priority #1, IMO. Thomas and/or Konerko should be gone also. We need the $$$$ that those guys are taking up, and we seriously need to not be paying Maggs $14 mil, sorry, its true.

So we can pick and choose what we decide is good for a player....hmm...what about Franks 113 K's? 11 GIDPs? 4, count 'em, 4 Sac flies?? Thats ridiculous. What Frank did in the past 13 years has approximately ZERO bearing on what he did to help this team THIS year. THIS years stats are what decided the 2003 pennant race.....you know, Loz's 19 Wins...his 2.92 ERA...his 192 K's in 213 IP. He got it done all year for this non-clutch hitting team, plain and simple, whether you like the guy or not.
-
I'm naming Thomas because he and Bret Boone are 2 of the best "garbage HR hitters" around. You know, padding those personal stats, having blatant disregard for doing what the team needs at the time. Frank is the reason I started following this team 14 years ago, but that doesn't mean I have to love everything about him regardless of his flaws. The guy flat out sucked when we needed him the most in Minny, so did Maggs, but at least Maggs has been known to play small ball, hit it on the right side with a runner on, etc. Frank, well he's playing smallball if you consider the endless popups to the 2nd and 1st baseman productive outs. Loz got it done early season when Colon and Buehrle were struggling, and for that, yeah...I'll cut him alot of slack. He kept us around this race so that we could have a chance to play corpseball this last 2 weeks. To try and put this teams failures last week solely on the shoulders of Loz is IMO completely asinine.
-
Loz did implode when needed the most, unlike The Big Skirt Frank Thomas and Maggs, boy they were the king of clutch hits in Minnesota!!!
-
I'm not sure how Roman can sit and blame the late season failures on Loz....The guy has pitched ALOT of innings by todays baseball standards, and every pitcher goes through what he is. Speaking of failures when it counts, lets name "Frank Thomas" The Big Skirt completely disappeared when it counted. Thanks alot, "MVP"

Gash, just got back from seeing it about an hour ago. I enjoyed it. Not a side of Kate Beckinsale you would normally see. Nice look at the dark world of Vamps and Likens(sp). Go check it out, worth seeing IMO. Everythings a ripoff of something, but the plot was original, and to me it was a pretty solid movie.
-
Ya gotta get the ball into #12's hands, man!!! Look at that....over 6 yds/carry. And ya let HSC get my TD? I bet I was the workhorse that got it down there, then she got the cheap TD. Hand the ball to Tommy Gunn!!!
-
That guy really f***ed us over this year. Why was I excited when we traded for him? I bought his Jersey!!!! Luckily they let me take it back for a sure thing in a Maggs jeresy. KW made a HUGE mistake, but i didnt want Foulke back this year. He had a horrible season last year and was happy to see him go. Do i wish i had him back, Yes, but was i happy to see him go at the time, YES Huh?? Hmm, I wasnt aware that what Foulke did last year was considered "bad". That means that by those standards, Gordon is awful. Personal pissing contests between K-Dub and Keith are the only reasons that Foulke wasn't closing in the 2nd half of last year. But by no means can what he did last year considered "bad"
-
Loz has been pretty brutal these last 3 starts.....gonna make JR think about that 3.5 mill option probably.
-
you and me both, Spiff. Frank is the reason that I became a true Sox fan in 1990. Even I have grown tired of his act, the endless popups whilst trying to hit 500 HRs. Frank could hit 50 HRs this year, but would any of them be in a crucial situation?
-
Alot of us agree that we would LOVE to have Kazuo Matsui at SS for the Southsiders.....so of course, by the Law of Reinsdorf, it will never happen.
-
Why chastize whoever said it? He only spoke the truth, and yeah, I really could see it being Everett. Its visible to all of us, and probably has been visible to a hard nosed, all out player like Carl. I'm sure he wants to get outta Dodge ASAP, and play with some guys and a Mgr that play like they give a f*** about winning something, and not just about how many HRs and RBIs they can rack up.
-
oh, you learn something everyday....so by that rationale..my Soxtalk ID should be... tbatsoncu....hmm, thats not as good sounding as abozichiu
-
I was pretty sure that was him...in other news, what is the meaning behind abozichiu? or is that a name, or what? Just wondering
-
But St. JosE6 is someone we really should have at SS in 2004 and beyond, he has 26 HRs!!!
-
JosE6 and NOlivo battling it out for the prestigious "Worst Batting Average as a Starter" award..and JosE6 maintains a slim lead in average over Miguel
-
Don't look now, but someone found some of the old 1984 Tigers bats, and Detroit has put together a few hits, and 2 runs
