Opening Day Grades: Filler until Wednesday
QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 7, 2015 -> 10:38 AM) To add to that and if IIRC, opening day 2005 cleveland blew the sox out. Buehrle gave up 8 in 2 innings i think. 2007. Grady Sizemore hit Contreras' first pitch into the stands. The White Sox never recovered all season long.

Cain accuses Shark of intentional plunking
QUOTE (AlSoxfan @ Apr 7, 2015 -> 10:22 AM) I think he was just pitching inside to reclaim the outside of the plate. If he he him oh well shucks, get off the plate or get hit again. And Cain sort of turned into it.

Cain accuses Shark of intentional plunking
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 7, 2015 -> 09:53 AM) Then hit Moustakas next time you face him. Part of the problem with doing that is when they call you in to see if it was intentional, it's a little harder to say no. This works fine. No need to get suspended, and the Royals might not act like they won the WS after hitting a homer to make a 3-0 game 4-0.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 7, 2015 -> 09:15 AM) Why weren't there this many complaints about the missed shot clock violation late against Kentucky? The refs weren't the best, but Duke played better down the stretch and earned the victory. Dekker was 0-6 from behind the arc, WI needed a couple of those to win, it didn't happen. If they played again today, might be a different story. The problem is for the National Championship game, the refs should be the best. If that is the best they have, officiating is a huge problem that needs to be addressed.- Final Four
Bucky got hosed. Bo Ryan bugs me, but he was correct. That game was officiated like Wisconsin was playing a Big 10 road game. Brutal. Maybe Duke still wins if the officiating is neutral, but that's a pretty big maybe.- 2015 Opening Day Thread

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 04:39 PM) If you didn't like what he did, hit him the next time he's up. Don't hit the next batter. He might not be in the game next time around. This is just as effective. Act like an ass, get your teammate hit.- 2015 Opening Day Thread

QUOTE (gatnom @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 02:43 PM) Hasn't LaRoche really declined defensively the last few years? Probably, but he probably still is better than Abrue with the glove.- 2015 Opening Day Thread
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 02:30 PM) I'm confused, isn't LaRoche a former multi-Gold Glove winner? Shouldn't he be playing first most of the time? They don't wan't Abreu to become a full time DH at his current age, so while it seems they would be better off defensively if LaRoche played more, long-term, it's probably better Abreu gets more time in the field. - Final Four
