QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 04:39 PM) If you didn't like what he did, hit him the next time he's up. Don't hit the next batter. He might not be in the game next time around. This is just as effective. Act like an ass, get your teammate hit.

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 02:30 PM) I'm confused, isn't LaRoche a former multi-Gold Glove winner? Shouldn't he be playing first most of the time? They don't wan't Abreu to become a full time DH at his current age, so while it seems they would be better off defensively if LaRoche played more, long-term, it's probably better Abreu gets more time in the field.

QUOTE (The Critic @ Apr 5, 2015 -> 06:21 AM) He seems kind of the same as always to me. Billy has always been a whiny, bitter ass one minute and likable the next. I think he's just a moody guy and it depends on which Billy you get that day. I've never been a big enough fan to think about seeing Manson, but it should be a fun show. My cousin used to own a house next to Billy close to Wrigley Field about 15 or 20 years ago. Billy is a little more normal in real life. I think he puts on a little act when the cameras and microphones are on.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 10:16 AM) White Sox have been very good on OD in this century. Currently sitting 12-2. Wasn't one of the losses in KC, with Billy Koch blowing the game in Ozzie's debut as a manager? I think he said he told the team to go out and get drunk after the game. The circus was open.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 6, 2015 -> 09:50 AM) The last time he threw over to 1B was April 30, 2013. Not 2011, nonetheless that's still incredible. I forgot what inning it was but, when he got the comebacker to him when Hayward was on second with 0 outs and Hayward went to third, Lester didn't even think of going to third to get him. He definitely has a severe case of the yips. They said that was the only time he had thrown to first since 2011.

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Apr 5, 2015 -> 05:01 PM) Onelki Garcia had a good spring and was a late cut. May see him up. They obviously think Drabek has potential. I agree that they'll probably go through several arms. I will say I don't see the point of calling a player worthless, and then objecting to the criticism of, oh, say Danks' pitching. Danks had a positve WAR last year and about 20 quality starts, and gave the Sox nearly 200 innings. That is not worthless. Drabek has been worthless, was let go for nothing, and thus far, hasn't shown anything on the major league level to show he can contribute to winning.
