You have to be careful when calling up guys when you are in a race for the playoffs. For one thing, if they really were all that good, they probably would already be on the team, so they probably won't play much. The other thing is, you don't want to crowd the clubhouse too much and make it uncomfortable for everyone. The Sox will obviously call up a few guys, but I would be shocked if its more than 4 or 5 and that number is probably high.

The key for the Sox IMO is going to be the head to head with Detroit. Getting swept is not an option. If they would have won 1 out of 3 in Detroit the last time, they would be 4.5 up right now.

I wonder if its Thornton. When he left the game the other night, while he was coming out anyway, Hawk said AJ wanted Robin to come out before he actually came out to remove him. I wonder if he had something wrong with him.

This is what Dunn does. He goes down to .203 or .204 doing nothing, and then gets it back up to .215 to .218 with damage.

He's a younger version of Joe Torre IMO. If he manages long enough, someday the overwhelming feeling will be Robin has to go and needs to be replaced by someone more like Ozzie. That's the way it almost always goes. RV was a tremendous hire.

DWise the hero. Drives in the tying run and got the guy to 3rd so he could score on the errant pick off attempt of DWise.
