  1. QUOTE (OilCan @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 03:17 PM) with or without the pink hat? You can put it on the board...........yessssssssssssssssssssss.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 03:14 PM) It was....Hawk's love for Marson is reaching Randy Ruiz levels. I'm pretty sure Hawk would make porn with Sandy Alomar Jr.
  3. Hawk said the Indians are grinders. No wonder why the Sox have problems with them. I wonder why everyone else has such an easy time.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 03:05 PM) Isn't he a 10/5 guy by now? July
  5. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 03:03 PM) Well that an with him being at his lowest value I suppose it wouldn't make sense to try to deal him...but they can't keep putting him out there if he can't get out of 3 to 5 innings... I'm a big Buehrle fan, but something is not right, and its been too extended of a period to ignore. If someone wanted his contract, I'd take a bag of balls for him.
  6. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) So are people beginning to think it might not be so bad to maybe deal Buehrle? He has been awful since his perfect game.... You would have to try to find someone who would be willing to pay him $15 million per. Good luck with that.
  7. Pena has been a 1 inning pitcher. He's been given a different role. He got through 2 fine, now struggling. This is not his fault if it all goes bad this inning.
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 02:52 PM) DA, why do you keep referring to Tuesday....do you just mean how pathetic they are that they can't win two in a row, or am I missing something? That's right. If they win today, there appears to be little chance of winning Tuesday.
  9. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 02:51 PM) f***ing right Kotsay with the hit and Konerko with the hustle the fuse is lit boys, the fuse is lit Acata with the guillen impression leaving westbrook in way too long. This is just like 1983. Look for the Sox to win the division by 20 games.
  10. This is a nice comeback. Maybe they will win on Tuesd...................nevermind.
  11. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 02:46 PM) cub is losing 6-2 I only bring this up as the BP Cup series begins Friday and any excitment for it is artificially going to need to be created by the media. Who would have ever thought how appropo the name of the BP Cup would become?
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 02:39 PM) 10-12 more years... Its a lock isn't it? Belle, Thome, Colon, both Alomars, Vizquel, all there good players eventually become White Sox. Grady Sizemore will be in CF at USCF after knee replacement surgery.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) I'd rather have him take the walk. Even in a good year, the odds of him hitting a HR on 1 swing are only a couple percent. He still may take the walk. When guys hit 3-0, they are sitting on a pitch in a certain location. Its not like a green light means automatic swing. What are the odds of the Sox getting 4 guys on consecutively?
  14. Good for Hawk. If this results in runs he can blame the umpire. The conspiracy the umpires have against the Sox continues.
  15. If Konerko came to bat with 2 out in an inning and had a 3-0 count, some on here would rather have him take and hope for a walk where it may take 3 consecutive hits for him to score, then to look for something in his sweet spot and hack away?
  16. Some guys won't hit 3-0 even if you let them, but you should give some the opportunity.
  17. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 02:23 PM) You and Fathom are just parroting the exact conversation Stone and Hawk had last night. If you went to my original post, it was about Hawk being upset Ozzie doesn't give a 3-0 green light.
  18. Mark Kotsay is hitting .190 on the season. On June 6th, he is batting 5th and is the DH. I think from that information alone you would know the White Sox are having a terrible season. You wouldn't have to know Peavy's or Buehrle's or Floyd's ERA or Beckham's average or how many errors Teahen had.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 02:19 PM) GMAFB. How thrilled were we last night when AJ grounded out softly with 3-0? How many 3-0 groundouts do we need? How many meat 88 MPH fastballs have we seen guys take right down the middle than hit a little grounder 3-1 on a slider? The current philosophy isn't working, if you haven't noticed? Also AJ isnt exactly a power hitter.
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 02:17 PM) Really? You think part of the problem with these guys is not being sufficiently aggressive? Hawk will never rip Ozzie, but even he can't believe the power hitters don't get a 3-0 green light.
  21. After the Sox got rid of Thome and Contreras, 2 of Soxtalk's favorite whipping boys, who would have thought less than a year later, guys like Beckham and Peavy and Quentin would be the new ones?
  22. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 02:13 PM) Is this the worst time in recent memory to be a White Sox fan? Take into account the state of the minor league organization and the fact that the 2007 team was crippled by injuries. 2007 was worse although this team can get there. People forget that team was battling for the worst record in baseball before a meaningless nice September run behind Jerry Owens and Josh Fields.
  23. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Jun 6, 2010 -> 02:00 PM) I hope we lose this one like 15-2. Something drastic needs to happen. You really think it matters if they win this game 8-7 or lose it 10-8 or lose it 15-2 in regards to what the franchise is going to do? It would be like basing giving a guy a $50 million extension based on one AB. If Ozzie quits or gets fired, Joey Cora is the manager. If Greg Walker gets the shaft, Gary Ward is coming in, and that already turned out badly.
  24. What occurs most in a telecast Stone saying "very lively ballpark" or Big Hurt with "no doubt about it"
