  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 1, 2010 -> 02:53 PM) Not buying the HGH thing at all (and even if he did, there was rumors it was when he had his knee injury to heal up quicker) but I definitely think there is many more woman out there than reported... possibly another kid(s) as a poster said here too. (or probably an STD) Supposedly Tiger is into some really weird things. She was/is taking some college courses on psych issues. It looks like she's getting $100 million, a max contract.
  2. The other thing to think of, if LBJ went to Miami, it would be Wade's team. If they really want to play together, and who knows if thats really true or not, the best way is with a new team for each of them. I'm not going to get too excited yet. I just hope the Bulls sign 2 of these top guys. Any two will do, and if the others don't join forces somewhere, the guys that signed with the Bulls are going to be doing all of the winning the next several years
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 04:58 PM) LeBron ain't winning anything the next 5 years if Wade and Bosh come to Chicago. Unless he joins them.
  4. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) There is also a report from Wallace saying Wade is using us as leverage with the second meeting to get Miami to sign LeBron soon. But this makes no sense. Miami wants to sign Lebron and I'm sure either have or will offer him the maximum amount they can offer him. Wade doesn't have to pressure Riley on that.
  5. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 02:25 PM) Jordan hates the Bulls. end of story. He hates Jerry Krause. Hating the Bulls is not accurate at all.
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 12:35 AM) Don't know if this was mentioned, but Bosh and Boozer are both at the Trump Tower tonight and both will meet with the Bulls tomorrow. Paxson and Thibodeau had a brief and informal visit with Bosh today and tomorrow will be the 3rd time they have talked since 12:01 yesterday. I walked by Trump Tower yesterday around 5 pm and was wondering what all the cameras and cops were there for. I thought maybe Trump was in town, now I know.
  7. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 30, 2010 -> 02:33 PM) Paul Konerko's grand slam had more to do with the White Sox winning that game than Scott Podsednik's home run. In fact, Paul Konerko's home run increased the White Sox chances of winning that game by 58%. They had a 28% chance to win that game before Konerko came up to home plate, and they had an 86% chance to win it after he crossed home plate. Now, why doesn't Konerko get a lifetime pass, but Podsednik does? Because Podsednik is cuter? That's exactly right. Without Konerko's blast, the Sox lose the game. Without Pods, they still may have won. I think some of the bigger whipping boys were Uribe, Thome and Contreras. The biggest whipping boy of all, however, is Greg Walker.
  8. Per Gonzalez: Meanwhile, one report out of Washington says Williams and Nationals GM Mike Rizzo have never talked about the Sox acquiring Adam Dunn. Was Cowley making things up in his mom's basement again?
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 08:16 PM) Gordon over his last 5 games (15 PA): .357/.333/.857/1.190. Could mean something, could mean nothing I don't know, I'm not a doctor. He'll be fine. I hope now, but maybe not quite yet. He's going to be the star of the team for years.
  10. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 08:11 PM) Where did you read/hear this? If true, then it absolutely leads credence to my theory that they are just playing with the media to make July the month of LeBron. Sam Smith. It leads me to believe Lebron will eventually go back to Cleveland. They are making it look like he has great opportunities elsewhere but he comes back to Cleveland for more cash smelling like a rose, and makes a much to do about nothing situation into a circus. I still think the Bulls will get 2 players though.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 08:08 PM) Pretty sure Ozzie just said go f*** yourself a couple of times to Nelson. And finished it off telling him he was a f***ing asshole.
  12. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 07:22 PM) Our team SB% this season is 67%, that's not so good. Here are your leaders: TBR 91 - 77% NYM 74 - 81% CHW 71 - 67% SEA 70 - 80% SDP 67 - 72% Have I mentioned lately just how much I hate our base running philosophy? Ozzieball
  13. The Sox are still 9 under .500 vs. the AL.
  14. Has Stone mentioned if its a lively park or not yet?
  15. World Wide Wes supposedly was Stephan A Smith's source. I don't know who the fools at ESPN were listening to. We know Wade was in Chicago Friday and Saturday and Sunday evening the Miami Herald talked to him at O'Hare. We know Lebron was in NY Thursday and Friday. Why would they fly down to Miami to have a meeting? It makes no sense, and in the day and age everyone is basically carrying a camera no photos? They may have had a "summit", but it certainly wasn't in Miami this past weekend. At least one of the fanbases from Miami, NY or Chicago is going to be majorly dissappointed. I doubt it will be the Bulls fanbase.
  16. QUOTE (Lillian @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 06:06 AM) There is one other reason that Juan Pierre is not good enough to bat lead off for this team. In the A. L. the lead off hitter often comes to bat with men on base. Without the automatic outs at the bottom of the order, there are too many RBI opportunities to exploit to settle for a guy who isn't a good clutch hitter. Pierre doesn't get on base enough, rarely gets an extra base hit, and can't drive in a run. All he can do is steal a base. He would be fine as a pinch runner, but he is not a good lead off hitter. The Sox should bring up De Aza and let him lead off and play left field. He's not only a decent hitter with a little pop, but he can also steal a base. His defense is good enough to play CF, and in left he would be way above league average. This link provides a little insight on De Aza: http://soxbronzetitan.wordpress.com/2010/0...ejandro-de-aza/ While I don't think De Aza is the answer, I think you make a great point about being able to drive in a run with pitchers not hitting. He had a couple of RBI in the 9th against the Cubs, but that is the exception rather than the rule. Pierre should hit 9th. There really is no reason he should lead your team in AB.
  17. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 29, 2010 -> 12:09 AM) http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?i...DALLASHeadlines Lebron, Wade, and Bosh met in Miami Monday night. The article said they met over the weekend in Miami. Wade was in Chicago this past weekend and is now, according to the Miami Herald, on vacation in a private spot. I think its all BS like 99% of the stuff that's come out.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 28, 2010 -> 09:25 PM) BTW, what do you think Dayton Moore would want for David DeJesus? Supposedly a ridiculous amount.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 28, 2010 -> 09:07 PM) At least he admitted it Did you see it? He had to admit it. It was easily the worst called strike I have ever seen. Little League included.
  20. QUOTE (Real @ Jun 28, 2010 -> 09:02 PM) Another blown strikezone AND caught stealing in back to back games There's clearly an umpire conspiracy against the Sox. Funny thing is, if that same pitch were ever thrown to a White Sox and the umpire called it a strike, Hawk would say it was clearly inside. If you want to see a bad call, check out Cedarstrom's calling Damon out to end the game with a 3-2 count and the bases loaded in a one run game. It was almost a pitch out.
  21. I read something last night that the Bulls, and we know they sent some money to the Wizards, sent $6 million. JR has been in Chicago sports for 30 years, we know how he operates. There is no way he trades a pretty productive player, $6 million and a #1 pick for nothing if he doesn't know its all going to pay off in the end.
  22. QUOTE (chimpy2121 @ Jun 27, 2010 -> 06:28 PM) I hope so, but I feel like we're all setting up to be extremely disappointed. Now another GM has come out and said that he believes that Bosh will sign with the Heat and that it's been planned for a while. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/674...or_a_long_time/ Nothing is done yet. I think a lot is done by now we just don't know about, just a lot of misinformation out there as a smokescreen. As a Cleveland writer pointed out, all these meetings teams are scheduling with Lebron and the Knicks with Wade and Bosh and Johnson is illegal. They aren't supposed to have anything to do with these guys until July 1. I'm sure the Bulls have a good idea what they are getting. They wouldn't give Hinrich and a #1 away for nothing if they weren't just about assured they were getting 2 guys out of this FA class. Really, what is there to pitch here? The players advisors are aware of every teams' ability to get better and current roster. All these guys are familiar with each city. The max guys know what they will be getting paid. I think the Bulls are going to shock people one way or the other. Either Lebron and Bosh or Johnson or even Wade or something like Boozer and Johnson, which will dissappoint most especially if one of the other teams gets 2 or even 3 of the other guys, but will improve the Bulls.
