  1. I will relax when it isn’t such a threat, and that may be without a vaccine. But I will not put myself in situations just asking for it, even though I don’t have any of the underlying conditions that are said to make the symptoms worse, and I also have type O blood which some studies say help the cause.
  2. Damn shame he couldn’t stay healthy. His numbers would have been beyond crazy.
  3. If any team knows how to handle 8k a game, its the White Sox.
  4. As a season ticketholder, I'm sure if the Sox allowed, i would get the chance, but I would pass. As much as I love going to games, and as much as I miss it, it isn't worth the risk until there is a vaccine or this thing just went away.
  5. Wouldn't surprise me if a lot like the elections, there is some foreign element on social media helping to fuel these fires. There will always be idiots, but every day I go out, I count how many masks I see on the first 20 people I encounter. My high mark last week was 7.
  6. That and despite what the Trump campaign is trying to tell everyone, most protesters were wearing masks.
  7. They are saying the campaign got played by teenagers on tik tok. I dont know how much of that is true as they claimed they had 1 million requests, but would have loved to have been able to claim 2 million requests. What it did do is give them no clue about the actual interest. Got them to set up a big stage outside for an overflow party. For all we know, if they knew the actual interest they may have cancelled the event sighting the Covid outbreak, which probably would have been better for public health, and the Trump campaign.
  8. It’s even worse. Are there really other politicians who would want to cut back testing during a pandemic, other than dictators.
  9. He blamed the protesters for scaring people away yet he just claimed he can get rid of protestors anywhere in an hour or less. Maybe a few more Oklahomans valued their health more than most thought. The other thing that is scary is many of Trumps rally attendees go to many rallies. These aren’t just locals, so It could stretch to other areas,
  10. Pretty soon, a lot sooner than anyone thinks, believe me, these 6 cases will be down to 0.
  11. 6 Trump campaign staffers on the Tulsa rally advance team, have tested positive for Covid 19. The stupidity is amazing.
  12. The best thing about the rally tonight is I can look at the 20k in the arena and the hundreds of thousands who supposedly can't get in and are outside, and know I am smarter than all of them.
  13. That is very unreasonable.
  14. According to the Washington Post, a lot of Germany’s success with the virus is based on US research which was blown off by the administration.
  15. Why would the White Sox have done that? That is crazy. Zero chance even if he was winning CY Young awards.
  16. Trump and Pence remind me of the Iraqi Defense Minister in the early 90's. Nothing to see here, the enemy is being defeated...as bombs are going off right behind him.
  17. So some Phillies have been working out at their spring training site in FL for several weeks. 5 players and a few staffers have tested positive for the virus. Not a good sign.
  18. It’s just fading away. It will be gone with a vaccine or not. And a lot sooner than people think. Believe me.
  19. I read two reasons. It could be that deaths are just lagging, as it can take time, and that it could be a younger crowd has acquired the virus and the death rate for younger people without compromising issues is generally lowere.
  20. The owners actually got the players to look bad. The just tell us when and where to report was so good. They played the owners, who were then stuck. Now they get a few more games, so more pay, expanded playoffs....and they have to then say , you know , how about 70 games? They now look like the group that doesn’t want a deal. Rob Manfred and Tony Clark, if either side has any sense, both have to go.
  21. FAUCI: "One of the problems we face in the United States is that unfortunately, there is a combination of an anti-science bias that people are, for reasons that sometimes are, you know, inconceivable and not understandable, they just don't believe science."
  22. I was reading that many in the industry think up to 300 players are going to be non tendered next offseason. If somehow you have little debt, cough JR,and not a big payroll, cough JR, getting a ton of talent for a very reasonable price can be done.
  23. I would think at this point it would be impossible to say they are extremely low transmitters of the disease, since so few have been tested and for the longest time you had to look like death warmed over to get a test. Especially when the kids were in school. A recent German study, which compared the viral load of nearly 4,000 people aged from one to 100 years old, added weight to this idea. It found that regardless of age, people appeared to shed a similar level of virus, suggesting they could be equally infectious
  24. I get how you say kids probably won't die from it, so go to school, but what about teachers, and librarians, and custodians, and bus drivers, and lunch ladies, and administrative staff.? What about kids bringing it home to their parents and grandparents? You said JB has done a terrible job protecting our most vulnerable. I disagree. He actually followed the science and was one of the few who actually met Trump's and Pence's task force requirement for re-opening. How is just acting like it isn't here protecting the most vulnerable?
  25. I just wonder what the logic is for this threat. I'm sure they have ban smoking from the buildings. Isn't that basically the same thing? When I first started working, there was smoking in the office. It was awful. Then that stopped. More recently, they cut it from restaurants and bars, and the initial feedback was everyone was going out of business. This is going to kill the industry, much like you get with anything seemingly more on safety's side than not during this pandemic. Now, no one cares. In face, even smokers get it. They don't even smoke in the homes anymore. They go outside. Watching some in cars is funny with all the windows open, their arm with their cigarette hanging out. Trying to blow the smoke away from the inside.
