It is amazing how many buy his shtick.

This doesn't look like it is playing, but the rest of the quote is like per capita relative to what? You can look at just about any capita.

At first, I was almost like Greg with the lack of haircut. But the more I thought about it, I'm kind of digging it now. It reminds me of when I was in high school, and the only time I would get a haircut is when my dad couldn't take it anymore and forced me to go. It got pretty wild at times.

I worry about restaurant reopening. People want to sit down and be served. The demand will be big initially IMO, which will cause social distancing to give out the window. Not in the seating areas necessarily, but they may have lines that would rival the weed stores when they opened.

Initially the US refused tests from the WHO. When Pence was asked why, his explanation was that isn't what the US does, it develops its own. That causes a delay. The CDC tests were messed up, now the White House is trying to blame the CDC , but that is Trump too. Maybe you are fine with the US response, but it was awful. Not what the US has done in the past and hopefully not a sign of what is to come in the future. You seem to rip people for saying Trump messed up, but don't have a problem with him or his adminstration saying they have handled this, just like they claim to have handled everything else, perfectly. If there was a problem it wasn't them. Nice leadership.

Some side effects are paranoia, hallucinations, and psychosis. So we may not be able to tell if it is affecting him.

I’m skeptical. Is it just coincidence he announces this hours after Dr. Bright is on 60 Minutes, which Trump live tweeted?

By ignoring science?

That is why I posted earlier, we can cure cancer by ending all biopsy’s.

I'm glad their trend is down and hopefully it stays that way, but trying to deceive the public during a public health crisis is a pretty big deal.

https://www.businessinsider.com/donald-trump-coronavirus-response-keep-stock-market-up-economy-2020-5's Look at Trump's tweets regarding China from January to March. He bought everything he was supposedly told. There were no US people in the lab. Trump had them removed. I don't think it's a political issue either, but Trump has made it one. Red vs. Blue. But he won't play the same game he is asking others to play. You can't be around him without a test, yet tests are overrated.

His son this past weekend seemed to think it's a hoax to keep his dad from holding rallies. Eric Trump on his dad being unable to hold rallies b/c of a pandemic that has killed nearly 90k Americans: "After Nov. 3, coronavirus will magically all of the sudden go away & disappear & everybody will be able to reopen. [Dems] are trying to deprive him of his greatest asset."
-
Yes, he ignored the virus because he was told the stock market would be spooked. He blamed the previous administration for not having tests. Even though Obama was supposed to know Covid 19 was happening 3 years after he left office, why didn't the Trump administration prepare for a pandemic? They were left a playbook, which they ignored. I already said it was going to be bad under anyone, just not this bad. He was wrong, wrong, wrong, wouldn't come up with a National response, made the states compete for supplies, like it was The Apprentice, Governors edition, which cost time and money, and took zero responsibility. His own words. Golf too much? I didn't say that, he said Obama did. He golfs more than Obama and makes money when he does. But who cares about conflicts of interest. If Trump can dish it out, and all you have to do is see a really or look at his twitter, he should be able to take it. World's biggest victim. You really don't have to be a democrat to see he messed up, bigly. Almost every single Republican politician who isn't afraid of him has pointed it out.

He ignored it, because it was going to bring the stock market down, the thing he used to say he was a great president, even though the guy he just called inompotent again had the dow rise 148% under his watch, praised China for their hard work and transparency and cost lives. And he goes on a daily 2 hour rally telling everyone how great he is. Sorry, Trump deserves every slam he gets. He tweets and watches television when he is supposed to be working. Golfs more than any other President, when he himself said he would have no time to golf, and ripped the previous president for golfing. The Secret Service just spent $179,000 for golf carts at his golf course this summer. And people want to praise him for not taking a salary. It was probably going to be bad under any president, but most likely not this bad, and every single one of the others would have shown at least a little bit of leadership. Probably most importantly, the fact that he made a pandemic a political issue, is disgusting. This isn't red vs. blue, but that's what he made it.

I do think there will be some players very reluctant to play, and wouldn’t be surprised if there is a season, several will sit it out.
-
BTW, these “dictators” if they are using the “president’s guidelines “ for opening up, are not opening up because according to those guidelines, they are not ready. If Trump has the ultimate power he claims, why doesn’t he force these states to open up? Quit buying the BS coming out of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Fred Willard, Phyllis George, Mike McCaskey. 2020 has been a bad year in so many ways.

I find it ironic you call the governors bullies when the biggest bully in history is in the WH. The reason we have to go through this is because of the very slow federal response. I read where if everyone wore masks and practiced social distancing the cases and death toll would be 12% of what the are. The only reason Trump is all about opening up is because his advisors at Fox News told him he has no shot of being re-elected if the economy is still in the gutter on Election Day. Things would go back to a lot closer to normal if you follow the science, but unfortunately people who supposedly have no jobs and have no money and are about to commit suicide, jubilantly packed bars and restaurants in Wisconsin. Do you really think they are going to prove the science wrong? Eric Trump said yesterday the Democrats cooked up Covid 19 to keep Donald Trump from holding his rallies. Apparently they organized it so well the rest of the earth agreed to participate. He said once Election Day comes and goes, the virus will magically disappear. These people are crazy.

Offseason 2019-2020 MLB Catch All Thread
Dick Allen replied to iWiN4PreP's topic in The Diamond Club
I just read something interesting. The way it is set up now, the highest paid MLB player in 2020 is going to be Prince Fielder who is owed $24 million. -
Actually, I respect public officials who care about my safety a lot more than public officials who only care about their election chances in 6 months. The funny thing is the administration was slow to act because they were worried about the stock market, now acting way too quickly for the same reason. Did you see the video of a reporter being hassled by people (great people POTUS tweeted) just covering their reopening? Those people were so great, one even made a hang Fauci sign. No need to listen to the science. The reason you are supposed to wear a mask isn’t to protect you, but to protect others. If you can’t be bothered to put one on. you have shown what you think of the others. Why weren’t you and the rest up in arms when Trump was on board with this social distancing, and the rest? Why wasn’t it dictatorship then? Why weren’t you pissed off airlines were losing money and people were losing jobs when Trump imposed his travel bans? if you really think just going back to normal can happen, you haven’t been paying attention, I live in Chicago. Cook County now has the most cases in the country. My safety as well as my asthmatic wife’s, and 82 year old father concerns me. Plus I am part of a community. I owe the people of my community the effort to do what I can do to halt the spread of the virus. I have been tested for the virus and antibodies and was negative with both. I had initially thought I would like to have been positive with the antibody test, but that would have meant I was walking around with it for a while and passed it on to others, and they would have passed it on, and who knows what my infection would have done. A doorman in my building in his 40s died because of Covid 19. I spoke to him his last day on the job, and he had no symptoms of being even slightly ill. A week later, he was dead.
-
I have come to the conclusion that people who refuse to wears masks don’t give a fuck about anyone but themselves.
-
Just act like it never happened and it will go away. But hey, there will be a vaccine by the end of the year, if not, no biggie, it will go away without it. And testing is way overrated. Sometimes you test negative several times, and then you take a test a few days later and it positive. What’s up with that? This is what Trump is saying. It really is unbelievable, but more unbelievable is there are millions who actually buy what he is selling.

Borrowing Trump's logic, we can cure cancer pretty easily. Just don't test people for it. It's gone.

It's pretty weird the Republicans seem to have a different opinion about being shutdown based on who they believe set it up. The first couple weeks when they thought Trump shut it down, even though it was the governors, they had no problem. They had no problem with Trump shutting down travel. What about their rights? It's really bizarre. Wisconsin is especially scary since it is a border state with IL, and no doubt there will be idiots crossing the border getting infected and bringing it back.
-
Dr. Trump has assured us this will just go away, vaccine or not. And a lot sooner than anyone thinks. He is the smartest person in the history of the world.
