  1. So Cornyn is saying there is no corroboration. All they are hearing is what they supposedly already knew. Well, didn't you refuse to subpoena anyone else so you can claim what you claim. Scum. Orrin Hatch finds her attractive.
  2. I would say just the opposite. You have never been in a situation where you have seen something that shouldn't be, and sat it out? And you never returned, especially at that age? I think it's pretty safe to say most teens let stuff like that go. It's very important to most to be socially accepted at that age. Whether it's not pissing the boys off, and getting left out, or no longer attending parties. It doesn't happen like that. There are cliques. The "popular" kids get away with a ton.
  3. It's disgusting., which there should be no surprise. They know what this guy is. I give Dr. Ford so much credit. Not many people would do what she is doing. If her story is BS, she's easily the greatest actor of all time. Hopefully, there are at least a couple of GOP senators with some dignity.
  4. It wasn't because of ARod's performance they didn't win. 7.8,10.0, and 9.2 were his WAR numbers. Pujols has been a shell of his Cardinal self. You just have to make sure what you offer isn't going to destroy spending on something like pitching.
  5. While it might seem obnoxious, it is sort of how the gigantic contracts have played out. Someone goes nuts. ARod, Cano, Pujols.....it's a small sample size because there aren't a lot players commanding this much money, but chances are, whoever signs these guys isn't going to be just$1 million more than the next best offer, unless it's a place they really want to be. The unknown is maybe Machado and/or Harper like Chicago and playing for the White Sox appeals to them more than we know.
  6. Trump gave Kavanaugh a refresher course about successful lying. I wonder if that was required coursework at Trump U.
  7. He's a great player. He just isn't nearly as likeable as he once was, and that began near the end of his run with the Bulls. Obviously, some things have gone to his head. But if he was on my team, I wouldn't mind.
  8. NBA is going to offer the 4th quarter of any game on League Pass for $1.99. Eventually, that will expand to where you can watch any quarter or buy 10 minutes of real time.
  9. People will eat up anything positive considered how long this team has been bad. I was thinking last night, after watching Biebs make the Sox look like 8 year olds, who is going to be the future multiple time All Star this winter after the Sox hold their "hitter's camp". At this point, most of us will take anything. You can see it when people actually wouldn't mind James Shields to return. James Shields. We are excited about several guys who have OBP of .280. It will really be a pleasure when we can be excited about real players.
  10. How does anyone with a daughter support this guy? Trump I can see, he is the only person I know about who has no problem with someone referring to his daughter as a piece of ass.
  11. Yet another accuser. Susan Collins, if she takes what she is offered to confirm better remember this when Roe v Wade gets overturned and Bart O'Kavanaugh, choirboy, says the assurance he gave her that it wouldn't happen, never happened, look, a calendar. It says I never met with Susan Collins.
  12. Maddon won't even look at what the victim wrote. It would be nice if somehow, some way, MLB did the victims right with these assholes. But this will all be forgotten years from now if Russell becomes the player they thought he would become. Apparently that is far more important than being even a minimally decent human being.
  13. And what exactly are the chances of James Shields repeating this year's mediocre performance with another 200 innings next year? He'll be 37. I bet if he pitches, it will be a lot closer to the 117 he pitched in 2017. Time to move on and put that nightmare trade behind the organization. It isn't like he can be flipped for anything. This season proved that. Someone like him, fine. But not him.
  14. What I don't get is all these old men are saying everything was 36 years ago and BS, but on the other hand, some calendar, and who the hell keeps a calendar from 1982 , is clear proof of no wrong. Probably just about everyone who has gone to college has met at least one of these guys who have believed they are entitled, from either growing up with rich parents or being the big man from their hometown. A lot of them are still pretty decent guys who just think they are owed a bit, but there are also some pretty big assholes. This guy seems like the stereotype for that. Lindsay Graham saying he didn't want to ruin a guy's life over some accusation is just wrong. There is a pattern here. He doesn't qualify to be a Supreme Court judge. That is not unusual. Most do not. It doesn't mean their lives are ruined. It's OK if he ruins someone else's life though. No problem.
  15. I have no idea why anyone would want James Shields to pitch for the White Sox next year. He was a little better this year than in the past, but what would make one think next year he won't be back to being his old awful self? I am sure he has had some nice words of wisdom for the young guys, but they have heard him, move on.
  16. Kavanaugh has presented a calendar from 1982 which he claims proves he wasn't at the party in question. He just happened to have a calendar from 36 years ago handy, probably knowing back then he would be up for this job and someone may accuse him of doing something other than studying, playing sports, going to church and doing things for his community.
  17. Socialism seems to be fine for the right when trade wars hurt some of their farmer voters and they give them a bailout. Just like everything else, the Trump partyhas no problem with anything where they benefit. What they don’t like is when darker skinned people get benefits.
  18. I wonder if he can watch a game when he isn’t working and not go through this routine in his head.
  19. He is now saying the line was meant for laughs.who knew besides being the greatest, smartest, bestest person ever, he also was the funniest.
  20. So before hearing one word of testimony, Orrin Hatch has declared Kavanaugh will be confirmed. I saw an interview with Susan Collins and although she says she has not decided, it seems her fellow Republicans have somehow bought her vote. She. IMO is the one who can stop this ridiculousness.
  21. He has definitely had his moments. That was a spring training line up he was facing yesterday, but he did shut them down, and has shut a few teams down this season. Might as well keep on truckin with him. There obviously is something there. Whether it can be there on a more consistent basis is the question.
  22. They have his college roommate saying he was a drunk. They have all the yearbook messages. They have him saying what happens at Georgetown Prep stays at Georgetown Prep. Way too much there to conclude his Fox News softball interview was anything but BS. Just some virgin who was focused on academics and sports and the church. OK. There is more coming. Plus, his clerks need to look like models. Whoever votes to confirm him needs to be held accountable.
  23. It's a fair point, but when he was trying to win and selling his team as playoff caliber, the best he could do was 78 wins. To me, the leash has to be short, and winning in 2020 is a must. But I think if there are enough hiccups in 2019, that is grounds to make a change.
  24. Yeah. OK. "That's totally false and outrageous," he said. "I have never done any such thing, known about any such thing. When I was in high school, and I went to an all-boys Catholic high school where I was focused on academics and athletics and going to church every Sunday at Little Flower and working on my service projects and friendships."
