Right, because coming forward ruins your livelihood . These people who have made it, live quite a life. They don't want to risk it all for what could be nothing. His power would have overcome a couple of accusations and rumors. It took an army to take him down. It used to always confuse me why women who have been assaulted, women who have been beaten rarely came forward, but the me too movement has made that clear to me. I

The thing I don't get about the Trump party is what is an isn't proper behaviour, even a crime, depends on who you voted for. At least the Hollywood elites, and really I pay little attention to them for any sort of guidance, know when wrong is wrong. If Weinstein were a Trump supporter, he would have been a really great guy who had his life ruined by false comments.
-
Most of your stuff I agree with, but I don't really care about Hollywood. I will say, the right sure has no problem tar and feathering Weinstein (although I think he's scum), but using the criteria they use for anyone who appears to be a Trump supporter, he denies a lot of what he has been accused and his life is ruined by allegations that, if they were as bad as the victims claimed, Trump eloquently stated, they would have called the FBI right away.

So everyone is going to improve. I would love to live in that reality. In all seriousness, if that is what the team would be counting on, it's going to be a really long road to contention.

Siera seems like a pretty cool woman, but she does seem a bit clueless about baseball when she is on the air. And in case anyone wants to think I'm suggesting I feel that way because of her gender, that wouldn't be accurate. I think Leyla is pretty awesome on the same channel.

Guys Cordell's age getting their first crack at the major leagues, generally don't have much of a baseball playing future. There are some exceptions, but it doesn't appear he is one at this time. At the very least, his 40 man spot, if needed, is a no brainer. I doubt they would lose him anyways.

I am pretty sure they know there is a really good chance there are some other women with stories to tell out there. I think it is the biggest reason Trump, for the ,most part, has bit his tongue. Another comes out, their credibility skyrockets, and all of these so called republicans look like fools trying to rush ‘this through. It wouldn’t leave enough time to confirm another candidate, and hurt them trying to keep control. For Trump, and the Trump party, it’s Kavanaugh or bust IMO.

It's becoming quite clear at least what this guy was, and if people want to say that was then....they had a federal judge on last night, and for their background checks, if they ever did drugs harder than pot, they were disqualified. This is the SCOTUS. Not elected, lifetime appointment. It should be only the best. You might not politically agree, obviously no one is going to be like that, but you have to be of the highest character. There is no way this guy qualifies. These hijinks aside, he has clearly lied under oath, something else that should disqualify him from this job.

He measured 6 feet and 7/8th of an inch at the NFL combine. But what would they know? I actually saw Cade McNown at the Chop House after a Bears game once. I think it may have been his first game. I can't remember how tall he was but definitely taller than 5'10". I would have remember him being that short. -
Once again, don't believe what you see in September.
-
Yes. To get in the park, you will need a game ticket. I think you can go in and out of there. I have been there several times over the years when someone had freebies, but mostly when it was cold or raining so we just watched the game and drank and ate the comp pretzels and peanuts, or for a pre game meal, so I never really left and came back.
-
You pay for a ticket for the game, you pay for a ticket to get in there, and you pay for the food and drink. It's nice, I think they give out the memberships free now to full season ticketholders with premium seats, and it comes out to $3-4 a game for partial plans, and not so premium seats.

The classic McNown story for me was Jay Marriotti. He was writing columns that if the Bears didn't draft McNown, they were stupid and heads needed to roll. After they drafted him and he played a bit, he wrote whoever thought drafting him was a good idea needed to be fired immediately. -
I can throw harder than Michael Kopech.

I have read many people with this worry, I just don’t see it. If there really was a slam dunk city that could produce higher revenues long term than what the Sox could get in Chicago, someone would save half a billion or so and buy Oakland or Tampa and move them.
-
It does seem weird a person would call for an FBI investigation if they were lying. It all could be for optics, but there is just too much out there.

If it were a break even business, people wouldn't be paying what they are paying to buy them. JR went with the break even line years ago, and wisely stuck to it. Publicly acknowledging he is making money on the White Sox can only be bad for him.
-
JR is a lawyer, and the only issue the others have is if he died. They did concede he can do what he wants as long as he's alive. I doubt he has any enemies, even if he wasn't a nice guy. He's made those guys a lot of money. To raise the money, Reinsdorf recruited his friends, relatives and holdovers from Veeck's ownership group. The minimum investment was $250,000 — 1.32 percent stake of the team, according to court records — though Reinsdorf said he waived that for some. They agreed to his plan, which made Reinsdorf the majority shareholder in the team's general partner, which is the controlling entity. The rest of the company is made up of limited partners and minority shareholders in the general partner, none of whom has any control, according to interviews with a dozen of them.

Apparently, no one who owns shares of the White Sox are in their right mind. JR, then his heirs, can do whatever they want. What is interesting is when board members die, they are replaced by no one. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/whitesox/ct-xpm-2013-07-28-ct-spt-0728-white-sox-chicago-sports-20130728-story.html

Theo doesn't need a ton of money personally to buy a team. He puts the group together and sets it up so he has total control, just like JR. He gets a share of the team. Who knows, maybe he cuts a deal based on performance for even a bigger share. Considering his success, he probably wouldn't have a hard time finding investors.

IMO, people are way too hung up on where some random person rates guys. In the end, it doesn't matter. What matters is how he plays.

I wonder why Grassely wasn't upset about the 95 year old Nazi being deported a few weeks ago. That was closer to 70 years ago.

As a lower level judge, she probably doesn't have to hear his name very often, if at all. As a Supreme Court justice, he will be seen and heard a lot. It's easy to sit back and say you should have said something earlier...but it's not like she is the first to say something later on, and there is better than a 0% chance she is telling the truth. It just may be he was out of sight and out of mind, so she could live with that, and now that won't be possible.

As someone who has not been raped, or had it attempted, it would be hard for me to actually know how it affects someone. But she is hardly the first woman who has suppressed this, hoping it just went away. There is always a chance its BS, but she has supposedly passed a lie detector, and coming out with it now really doesn't make her life any easier. The victim shaming is already at full speed. Besides, this should wait until after the midterms if we are going to use the same terms the right used with Merrick Garland.

With what Manafort has to surrender in cash and property, it is enough to fund the Mueller investigation from its beginning through 2019. Really great guy. Very unfair how they treated him.
