And opioids is now on this one, even though you write neither of your sources says exactly what. If you want to share this information I don't have a problem with it, even though I probably wouldn't if I had it. Too sensitive IMO. But the contradiction is why I question you. That's all. If that means I deserve to be called names, so be it. I stand by what I posted.

Ellsbury has put up a 2 WAR and a 1.7 WAR the last 2 seasons. Not bad considering he isn't playing every day now. So he isn't a horrible player. He's just not worth what he is paid, and his playing time is only going to get worse in NY. He isn't a trade and release guy. No way. But at least for me, it would take a lot to inherit that contract now at his age. He kind of reminds me of Tim Raines late in his career. He probably will be able to hit for a while, and will be able to run, and is probably a good guy in the clubhouse, but he isn't anywhere near what he was, and probably should only be playing part time.

I don't buy it. If it is true, it would eventually come out, and all this talk from the Blackhawks about how they expect him back this season would look beyond ridiculous. If it is true, he is done for this season, and they know it, so at the very least they would acknowledge that he is probably done for the season, and if they are thinking playoffs, put him on Long Term IR and open up some more cap space for additions.

To think they would go from 0 to 3 and one of those being a $300 + million in one off season is a fantasy. I am all for dreaming, but that is just not realistic.
