If the 2nd round pick turns out to be as good as Mike Moustakas, you would be pretty happy with it. I think Boras being his agent kills it all, but I think he would make a lot of sense at a Frazier like discount. The Sox need some LH punch, and if you signed him for a few years, eventually he could probably move to 1B if Abreu hits the road. He would be set up pretty well at GRP.

McBuckets, when he's all done, may play on every NBA team. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 8, 2018 -> 12:57 PM) I'm interested in seeing what Cleveland looks like. I don't think they did bad in the trades. All a matter of how Lebron reacts. From a pure talent perspective, they upgraded in every single deal (with exception of maybe that Lakers trade). Cleveland can no longer trade the Nets 1st round pick (prior to the draft) since they don't have a pick in 2019 (and traded this year's pick to Lakers). Unless of course they get an unprotected 1st round pick back in a deal. When Lebron leaves after this year, they were going to suck anyway. This at least gives them some sort of chance this year, maybe GS gets a lot of injuries during the playoffs and the Cavs can pull it out, but they keep the better pick. And they cut bait on a lot of blah. DRose and Wade gone is addition by subtraction in my book, and IT wasn't working with Lebron. -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 8, 2018 -> 12:14 PM) Now that's hilarious. I think it would be more hilarious if they traded him to Utah. He lives in Miami. Except for a shot at losing in the Finals, they did him a solid. The Cavaliers’ coaching staff was planning a reduced role for Wade going forward and he had been campaigning for a return to Miami behind the scenes, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 8, 2018 -> 12:11 PM) What is going on in Cleveland, this is madness! It's the last hurrah. Might as well use most of their bullets. They are keeping the biggest one. Trading Kyrie was madness. -

Does Rose hang'em up now? The Cavs are doing what they had to do. You have to give them credit. It seems a lot of teams wanted Hood. They get Love back, who knows. Lebron still is the best player in the world IMO. -

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Feb 8, 2018 -> 11:01 AM) Bulls were going to waive Jameer Nelson. Instead of that, they get to swap 2nd rounders with Detroit in 2022 if Detroit is worse than the Bulls at the time. I've actually seen people upset about the pick swap. It's a fine trade as long as they don't give the wife beater a uniform, and they are not. -

As long as Reed never puts on a Bulls uniform, good. If the wife beater suits up, bad. -
Cumulus Media trying to drop White Sox/Bulls from WLS
Dick Allen replied to Dick Allen's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Was there significantly more White Sox talk on the Score than there is now when they had their games on there besides Rongey's show, which 98% of the people here hated anyway? I'm with the above, if I am relegated to radio, just give me a station that comes in really well. WGN fits the bill pretty well. -
In 2005, PECOTA projected 72 wins.

Does the station really matter? I don't see much exposure difference between when they were on the Score or any other statio. I would prefer just a,strong signal in case I have to listen on the radio. -
Scott Pruitt EPA Director, again Trump only hires the best, thinks global warming is a good thing. This has to be a yuge Candid Camera gag right?

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 12:03 PM) They have put together a collection of younger talent, some showing signs of promise, some not so much. I think the last 14 goals had been scored by a youngster until Kane at the end of the game. If anyone is to blame for this year it's more of the guys with the big contracts, who almost all have no-trade clauses. Hoping it's just a bad stretch for #19 and not that he's breaking down already from all the hockey he played, playoffs and international included. I saw some of the pregram and coming into last night's game, the previous 13 goals were scored by guys 23 and under, and I think half their goals this year have been scored by guys 25 and under. So it is a rebuild on the fly. Except for Kane and Crawford, they have either really young guys, or guys they couldn't give away with their contracts. Maybe Saad, but it isn't exactly primo time to be trading him. The young guys are showing some promise. They have to somehow turn back the clock a bit and get Crawford back. -

QUOTE (Sleepy Harold @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 02:21 PM) Mark Feinsand @Feinsand 3m Yolmer Sanchez won his arbitration case against the White Sox, per source. He'll make $2.35 million. The White Sox had countered with $2.1 million. Shocking to me they would go through that for $250k. -

QUOTE (Sox-35th @ Feb 7, 2018 -> 01:10 PM) Lot of miles and a colossally bad trade sending Kyrie away. 99 times out of 100, whoever gets the best player in an NBA trade, wins the trade. Quality over quantity. No Kyrie, no Love, that team is the 1998-99 Bulls plus Lebron right now. It's horrible. -
They knew he was a wife beater BEFORE they brought him on. 2 ex's showed evidence he abused them to the FBI.. He was hired anyway. Hope Hicks, you might want a new boyfriend. Now that it's out, he has to go. Another case where Trump only hires the best.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Feb 6, 2018 -> 10:51 AM) FEMA tapped Tiffany Brown, an Atlanta entrepreneur with no experience in large-scale disaster relief and at least five canceled government contracts in her past. FEMA awarded her $156 million for the job in Puerto Rico, then this happened FEMA Contract Called for 30 Million Meals for Puerto Ricans. 50,000 Were Delivered. Trump only hires the best. If Hillary were President, many Puerto Ricans would not get meals, and be without power for months....

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 6, 2018 -> 10:37 AM) I can't wait for Trump to call her a loser for losing both her legs in war and then for Republicans who usually worship anything military not say anything. It's too bad he weaseled out of the war. The military could have used his mind. Probably would have saved thousands of American lives, and ended the war sooner. He knows more than the Generals you know.

2017-2018 MLB player movement rumors and reports

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Feb 6, 2018 -> 07:45 AM) Always liked this fit. He has to be better than anything they've had at 3B the last few years. I always liked Frazier. Now that he has added some walks, if he hits .240, he's a really good baseball player. He's already a pretty good player, and a bargain at that rate.
