Featured Replies

Burger went down and was grasping at his lower left leg. Not clear yet on exactly what happened or where the injury was. Non-Contact injury. Was taken off on a golf cart.

Jake Burger hit a slow chopper and was digging hard for first to beat out the throw when he staggered and fell. Had to be carted off, but wasn’t put in a stretcher and his leg wasn’t immobilized. But beyond that is speculation, and we’re waiting for an update

Trying to think what the best injury I can hope for is.

I wrote last week after Honeywell went down how I always forget that after the initial excitement Spring Training is mostly just waiting and hoping no UCLs burst. But man, I know Jimenez doesn't have a bad injury, but Adolfo and now Burger, our hitters are getting picked off one after another.

edit: originally said collins and not burger.

Collins? I must have missed that. He's available for today's game.

Hoping it's not achilles

My bad, I substituted first round picks. Meant to say Burger.

Oh thank god, I was furiously searching for info.

It looked like he was holding his shin or upper ankle. I am hoping for high ankle sprain

Not a good start to the year with our prospects.

Oh no.

He's done.

Its his achilles.

Different circumstances, different injury, but all I can think about is Jared Mitchell.

Oh no, please dont be torn.

Yeah those pics...Its probably torn

Yeah this is a devastating injury for him.

Devastating injury. Praying it's not a torn Achilles, but this sounds bad.

Of course it's torn. You don't see guys in that much pain from a strained achilles

First Boogie, now Burger

Burger, well, done

My sig should have said "Fall" instead of "Rise"

He is young enough to bounce back from this (assuming torn achilles), but man...poor kid.

I basically had that same reaction when I strained my achilles
