John Danks should never start for the White Sox again
Dick Allen replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He looks like he lost about 10 lbs. from last year. I wonder if that has anything to do with the couple MPH he has lost on the fastball. Obviously when you are 16-7 and one guy is 0-4, there is a big problem with the spot. If he doesn't have control and falls behind, he gets hammered and that has happened each of his starts. From Robin's tone, it seems they are resigned to the fact they can't continue to trot him out there. Would he go to Charlotte? He certainly will make it through waivers. If he could get some control, he would be what he's been. Have some real nice games with the clunkers. But if he is always behind in the count, he's batting practice. It's too bad he has zero command. He's seems like the type of guy who could get by with cunning and guile. -

QUOTE (soxfan85 @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 08:07 PM) It gets pretty nauseating hearing Hawk complain about the umps when Danks just flat out sucks. He threw 3 strikes and was down 2-1 in the count. Danks doesn't have the stuff to overcome that. The ump was awful that AB. -

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 08:04 PM) No big hits It is not the 7th inning yet. -
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 07:41 PM) I'd take him in a heartbeat, NFL front offices are a different animal. I know, butt most of their roster is doing the same thing.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 07:37 PM) Not sure if you've seen it but the long talked about video finally leaked just before the draft, on his twitter account. http://deadspin.com/laremy-tunsil-s-accoun...-vid-1773721598 If doing bongs is a deal breaker, the NFL would have to go 7 on 7.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:38 PM) I've been a Danks defender but yeah he looks horrible. Way different than the 2nd half last year. He falls behind and he is in a lot of trouble. If he gets ahead, he will be fine, but he hasn't been able to do it this season. -

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:36 PM) His AB's have been much improved lately, he appears to have a much better feel for the strike zone right now, he was 100% guessing for most of April. Hopefully it sticks. -

QUOTE (aryzner @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:32 PM) Avi got the benefit of the call there. That was a strike. Same place Machado took for a ball. And thankfully Avi didn't swing because chance are he wouldn't have hit it hard if at all. -

Avi swung at the good pitch to hit and let the others go by. Progress. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:22 PM) Should have kept EJ up for the time being. And uh oh, Trumbo up. Huge regression due. He is a right handed Adam Dunn without the walks. -

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 06:11 PM) I get to celebrate a Sox win tonight or I get to complain about Danks sucking. Either way one of my favorite things in life. You have a lot of company. -

Avi has a higher OPS vs. RH pitching than Ishikawa has in AAA. -
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 01:26 PM) Do we have to use an option on Sanchez? They already used it when he went to Charlotte to start the season.

I hope they don't get rained out. They are on a roll. Keep playing. -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 10:22 PM) Michael Brantley's back with the Indians... Michael Fulmer called up by the Tigers. Also, with the way Justin Upton's struggling with the Tigers, we just MIGHT want to find a DH who has a successful track record hitting in the AL. Jose Berrios got hit pretty hard by the Indians in his debut. But Byung Ho Park very quietly with 5 homers for the Twins (yet another DH candidate we had a shot at). All these guys the Sox should have signed or traded for, why were you saying Parra and Desmond at the time?

QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 10:46 AM) Fortunately the Tribune has a very recent article about them having the best records in their leagues. It was 1973. Season did not end well for either team. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0427-story.html I broke my leg, and the season was basically ova.

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 07:23 AM) I'm pretty sure he's referring to Hector Sanchez. Catchers with neck tats for $400, Alex. -
We don't know what the injury is, and I am sure the Toronto training staff signed off on letting him stay in the game. Kind of hard to blame the manager. He wasn't throwing very hard last night. Is that where he is at normally? He was 87-89 most of the night.

The team should just forfeit and play Friday. Then everyone gets their rest and the worst pitcher who ever pitched gets skipped. No reason to watch this one. -
QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 03:27 PM) It is nice to have five tickets so i can bring four other people with me. You'll have a great time.

QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 03:24 PM) True. Maybe an NL team? Go against a good team in June or July when you know it will be warm.
