6/1/16 Game Thread - White Sox @ Mets
Harry Chappas replied to hogan873's topic in 2016 Season in Review
One run was all they needed. While this one would be nice to win, it was the only game of on the trip that was not realistic to have a shot in. -
The real kicker is he cannot play defense. He really serves no purpose.

I think Rodon for either would work. Not sure I would make that trade though.

Watched the 30 for 30 on Believeland I actually am pulling for Cleveland.

Game thread: 5/27 Let's do it Again!

QUOTE (fathom @ May 27, 2016 -> 10:32 PM) Still annoyed Rollins was like 5 feet from 2nd when Escobar was up. How many times so far vs the Sox has he already hit the ball in the 5-6 hole? I get being at DP depth but he was way too far up the middle. The mind boggling thing is that Rollins should be out of the game for defensive reasons late. The stupidity of this team has become something. -
QUOTE (fathom @ May 26, 2016 -> 10:55 AM) Cowley and Goff talking this morning about how Gar has job security because he is close to Michael Reinsdorf, and his wife is heavily involved with charity work with Reinsdorf's wife. Good to hear Michael Reinsdorf is a big backer of the good ole boys club and success is not important

How about a Miller Lite, pint half full view

The starting pitching seems to have settled in a bit Eaton, Melkey and Frazier are legitimate threats You knew the pen based on law of averages would come back to norm and it seems as it has Abreu is workign out of it Catching defense is much better as is over all defense American League and Central in particular is not as strong as it was thought to be There is hope. -
Another overreaction I'm done with this team thread

A modern philosophy to hitting is what this team needs. Bad at-bats and making easy outs on pitches they should take for a strike. I'd rather strike out looking on a close pitch that could go either way then swing at it on 3-2 and ground out weakly to second. Doing this when it is 0-1 or 2-0 is the mindlessness of this team and the mantra of corpseball. -
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 25, 2016 -> 02:31 PM) It would be great to change things up a bit though. DFA Rollins and Sands. Send Avi to Charlotte. Bring up Coats, Anderson, and Hayes and see who can play baseball. Would be really fun development actually. I'd keep Sands around he seems to be able to hit a little

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 25, 2016 -> 02:17 PM) I don't think that Anderson is ready but I bet we see him for the start of the next home stand. The White Sox are also famous for rushing guys who are not ready and then failing. Yet they continue to do it. Saladino can at least field the ball and gives the same offensive output as Rollins. Really sad.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ May 25, 2016 -> 02:18 PM) When you really look at our opponents and most of their ABs and compare that with ours you can just tell who has a better game plan at the plate. Ours has always been horses*** 90% of our games and I am tired of it. Get a whole new group in there already and change up how we go about getting ready to face a pitcher It has been that way forever with the White Sox and seems to be product of the steroid era that White Sox have not realized is over.
