Latos is on borrowed time here. Get through this and let he bullpen try and close it out. I bit through my lip when I was six. Left a cool scare, bleeds like hell but I don't recall that much pain after the fact. You know Hawk stitched up Yaz after a bar fight in the Poconos in '67

At work gamecast was so much better when the White Sox sucked. In Play out Single to right Commercial on gamecast May have to get the radio out that I put away in 2008 I see now Eaton threw him out.

Nothing against Latos I like what he is doing but Texas seems like a team that will hit him hard.

5/10 - White Sox @ Rangers Game Thread

QUOTE (flavum @ May 10, 2016 -> 03:27 PM) Eaton RF Rollins SS Abreu 1B Frazier 3B Cabrera LF Lawrie 2B Garcia DH Navarro C Jackson CF Rodon and Carroll are wearing it tonight or Latos certainly is tomorrow. -
Hawk talked about positioning and how it made the Bronx Bombers that much better. Positioning is another word for shifts and while that is all the rave in baseball, Hawk finally realized it and decided after all of these years that the 60's Yankees were the best he has ever seen at it. I was waiting to how great Walt Dropo was at executing a safety squeeze last night.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 10, 2016 -> 01:29 PM) July 8th-10th at home right before the All-Star Break. I hope they're still playing like hot garbage then. They should have swept the cubs at wrigley.
-
I still do not understand why left handed batters don't bunt more against the shift. Rizzo did it yesterday.
-
Zimmerman wet the bed and the cubs look like geniuses

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 4, 2016 -> 06:10 PM) She wants to avenge her family and saw how awesome Jaqen was when he saved her life and wore other faces to pull it off. In honor of cinco de mayo......gracias -
QUOTE (fathom @ May 5, 2016 -> 08:23 AM) Heard the dumbest comment on Mully and Hanley today when they were interviewing Ozzie. I think it was Mully that said that even playoff games at the Cell don't take on a playoff-like atmosphere. The Sox fan base does stink during the season, but they definitely show up in the postseason and create a great atmosphere. You are correct. That place is jumping when they get over 27,000 in it.

I never read the books and barely understand what is happening most of the time. But why did Arya choose to become a faceless person or whatever she is becoming? -
QUOTE (bmags @ May 4, 2016 -> 10:14 AM) That sounds like a made up story the media would use as fodder because it's digestible. The world is not a cameron crowe movie. Joe Maddon thinks it is.

5/3 Game thread: Boston, 7:10pm, CSN

QUOTE (bmags @ May 3, 2016 -> 04:20 PM) I wouldn't be surprised but I expect at least the lower level to be filled up. I'll go with 24,500 There was a really cool $10 flash sale but it is for next week. -
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 1, 2016 -> 04:24 PM) About that Jason Heyward contract... Until money is an object there are no bad contracts with them same as NY and Boston. At this point money is no object.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 09:40 PM) Mattingly takes Conley out after 116 pitches with a no hitter. I think that's bulls***, although the reliever is three outs away from the no no and they still may get it. You figure it'll take him 132 pitches maximum to get the no-no. I think those 16 pitches are worth the risk of a career ending injury. In the 8th inning Conley should have pitched to contact and saw what happened. They were winning 5-0, give up a a hit, homer, whatever the case may be.

Fangio and Fox know their s*** my guess the Floyd pick was their idea and they have a plan. The next two picks were steals. White hair will be the center if grasu does not pan out. They have great depth on the o line. Safety, RB and qb are needs today. Yesterday was best player available day and it was a huge win for the Bears.

Baltimore Orioles vs Chicago White Sox 6:05PM

Rollins defense cost them that game. He has zero range. If they want him playing he should DH. -
John Danks should never start for the White Sox again

With this defense is a call to MB an option........ -
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 10:45 AM) There isn't much you can do but take reactions and talk about them. JA hasn't tested positive, nothing is linked to him, the only thing we have is his crazy results to go on and make accusations with. I'm sure if there is anything worth investigating, someone is investigating it Like who, the MLB? A couple of connections that make me pause, Boras and Theo. I see Dexter Fowler bulked up rather handsomely over the winter as well. The cubs story is great for baseball as it was in the late 90's. The MLB is not going to look into breaking it down nor is any media outlet that makes money off of MLB success.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 10:47 AM) 1984 Detroit Tigers. 18-2 after April. 35-5 was towards the end of May. Ya them too
-
QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Apr 26, 2016 -> 11:16 PM) If this team can consistently score some runs (not saying 10 every night, just avoid the long stretches of 0, 1 or 3) they could be very, very dangerous. You can't win a pennant in April but you can sure lose one in it. Sox aren't going to lose it early this year at least. Just keep it going guys as long as you can. Mark 1985 Tigers won a pennant in April.......although they could be the only one.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 19, 2016 -> 01:48 PM) I just realized that if Adrian Beltre continues to hit like he has the past few years for 2 more years, he's gonna get to 3000 hits and about 80 WAR. Those are hall of fame caliber numbers. His defense puts him in there now.

Well first were ten were fun. I guess average offense was just too much to ask. This is as bad as ever.

Silver lining 8-4 with 10 on road to start the season......
