QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 25, 2016 -> 01:54 PM) There's really no need to scoreboard watch 47 games into a season in my opinion. They just need to play better. Doesn't really matter what anyone else does at this point. That is my opinion....the issue is this team is unwatchable currently. Bad baseball production with low IQ.

QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 25, 2016 -> 01:49 PM) Must be nice to have an offense that can actually score runs on a consistent basis. We are down 2-0 here an it already feels like it is over. 31 runs in last 11 games and that includes a 7 run performance which in that span was the only time they scored more than 5 runs. 8 other times they scored three runs or less.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 25, 2016 -> 01:31 PM) Hopefully KC and Tigers games stay same score I really do not care about the standings I care more about the team I want to watch being unwatchable for two weeks now. The 8th run 8th seems to have taken the confidence away from the bullpen and the hitting is now unmasked as being awful.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 25, 2016 -> 01:25 PM) 7 pitch inning for Kluber Going to be one of these days. Not even good at bats out of the gate and then the lead off single. In other news cubs are back on track after Arrieta gave up a run, they got 6 back. Jake will throw about 95 pitches today to get the win rather easily and only be rivaled by Klubers 91 pitch compete game.

QUOTE (fathom @ May 25, 2016 -> 01:25 PM) You knew as soon as they signed him that he would get way too much playing time. I get that early on...see what he has. He has nothing left especially on defense, he is a garden gnome. This is the same organization that felt Avi Garcia could be a centerfielder though so I guess I should not be surprised.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ May 25, 2016 -> 12:00 PM) For the longest time, I thought those stickers were for the Yeti Imperial Stout from Great Divide. I thought they were for avid mountain hikers like the dolts that feel the need to put 26.2 on thier car

National television for Toronto and OKC would be abysmal.

I want a guy to come in with a philosophy that makes sense in the modern era

Why Garcia is not in AAA, he has options, to play outfield and try to figure things out is beyond me.

I am all kids of messed up I am fine with strangers and crowds of people I do not know. I am really uncomfortable with being with people I know but see infrequently (weddings, Christmas, etc,.) I have an anxiety that there should be a comfort level that is not there after not seeing someone as if it is my fault I have not spoken to this person in 20 years or F' them they have not spoken to me in 20 years. Long lost relatives and what not are horrifying. My wife thinks I am jagoff but it is a thing I guess. This is also the case in social gatherings with 20 or more people where I know them casually but would not consider them friends, something like a school function for my kids.

Interesting study of "live action" in sports

Soccer does not seem right. That is 90 minuets and the stoppage for fouls and injury is not 50% of the time. -
5/23 Game 1 - Indians @ Sox, 4:10, CSN
Harry Chappas replied to Buehrle>Wood's topic in 2016 Season in Review
Today/this series can quite the 8 run 8th that continually does a Draymond Green to me. It could also continue to enhance that pain. The skeptic in me thinks back to he doubleheader of June 2013 that I sat through. Beautiful day for baseball. -
cub fans are accusing Mad Baum of doctoring the ball That is one fan base that should not accuse any other team of cheating.
-
8 run 8th seems to have killed every aspect of this team that is not Chris Sale. Hitting is now looking like corpse ball days Starting pitching and defense is not what it was and granted it was not going to be league best but it needs to be better. I think the bullpen will right itself. New York and Houston handled the Sox rather easily as did KC last night. Teams go through funks. In regard to the White Sox, history dictates they may not come out of it.

A playoff Sale who can strike out 15 or throw a CG 100 pitch effort is exciting.
-
A slightly above average bat is needed. A 3/4 type starter is the only hope of a playoff.

Did Ventura even come out and argue and ask the ump to get help? Also bullpen and clutch hitting are gone. Resting the pen in Texas seems to have ended their mojo.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 12, 2016 -> 09:59 AM) Where did he mention Hudson interest? "I've heard him mentioned as high as pick No. 10"

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 12, 2016 -> 09:21 AM) I will say it now. For that price, (7 years, maybe more, and $200+ million) the Cubs are really smart to let him walk away. This is the part of the Red Sox rebuild that Theo really screwed the pooch on, and that is really bad free agent contracts. He already has given out some bad contracts. The weather in October could play a big role in the playoff run as the pitching and defense becomes the focal point.

I am not really b****ing and I believe the White Sox outplayed the Rangers this series but the White Sox seem to always have some sort of availability issue with the bullpen. We lost two games due to availability the last two days. Robin did not have a good series that is for sure.

My guess is Latos is going through a little dead arm period. 2 off days should help everyone greatly. Would think missing him next time through as well may be a good idea.
