  1. Arrietta has regressed a bit not as good as last but not as bad as in baltimore
  2. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ May 8, 2015 -> 10:25 AM) I have a gut feeling well be leaving the score. Score would die to have the cubs and most likely is going cheap on Sox to get them. WGN would be interesting but I think they will end up on WMVP.
  3. Nieves should be hired in some capacity with this team. He does not appear to be missed but he did seem to do good work.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2015 -> 04:28 PM) Heck of an effort by the Cardinals in their series vs the Cubs this week! Still the class of that division.
  5. The loss I can handle it is the terrible baseball that happens on a regular basis and poor managing that gets me.
  6. Maybe I do not watch enough baseball outside of the White Sox but it surely seems that almost annually there are a couple of guys that produce at levels that are incomprehensibly bad. Julio Ramirez and the shortstop that came over fora bit that came to the SOx with Baines come to mind There was the whole Dunn thing and the Konerko half season when he hit under .200
  7. From a bullpen standpoint this inning has been managed terribly. Also no reason to throw to third on the fly ball and allow the guy on first to move up.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ May 7, 2015 -> 03:23 PM) I guess Jennings is a long reliever now? Game will be 7-1 shortly.
  9. Victor should allow me to get back to work. Nice carry over from the big win last night.
  10. Not a Soto fan but could he possibly be worse then Flowers? The 1-0 loss in Minneosta when two were on he swing at two balls and watched strike three go by to end the game should have been the indicator.
  11. At some point this team needs to figure out how to hit guys like Tommy Millone.
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ May 5, 2015 -> 02:09 PM) The 5/27 game in Toronto has been changed to 11:37am because the White Sox are traveling to Baltimore after the game. Not sure if that's a scheduling rule, or if the Jays are being cool. Either way, that's a good thing for the Sox. Benefits Toronto greatly for the White Sox to not suck....although not certain this will do any good.
  13. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 5, 2015 -> 02:27 PM) Gordon Beckham was being declared a future multi-time MVP after his rookie season. and if left at third base he just may be.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 4, 2015 -> 11:48 AM) there were some twitter rumors that the Bears were extremely frugal with UDFA this year because they want to make a run at Collins How does UDFA work? This seems to be where the Bears would need to hit hardest to pull in some potential talent. Makes sense if there is a pool of money they can spend.
  15. QUOTE (LDF @ May 3, 2015 -> 07:43 AM) first bold, yeah i know that, i was confuse on why Gardenhire will be a better coach by some of the other posters who keeps mentioning him. if i understand this correctly, he lost all those games... then why does posters think he will be better than RV?? What other choices are there?
  16. Cabrerra should leadoff and Johnson and Eaton 8 and 9 with Beckham or Gillespie second. Ramirez should bat down in order.
  17. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 1, 2015 -> 11:19 PM) I don't know if blood is the answer. What's baffling to me is the organizational mindset to not be tough outs. We just give them away. Why not try grinding out ABs the first time through the order. My thoughts exactly. When a hitter sees more than 5 pitches it is news worthy. The hitting philosophy is such that they swing at the first strike they see. This is where you get hawks new s***ty mantra how shifts are killing the sox. That is because the other teams scout players and game plan around them. The white sox swing at anything close regardless of the count.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2015 -> 09:59 PM) Can't link it from phone, but Bernstein retweeted an article saying Cubs TV ratings up 110 percent this year Things are going right for them. Makes Theo look like a genius. Magnifies the sox woes and their inability to react.
  19. Be prepared to tip your cap to Jacob May or whatever his first name is.
  20. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 03:10 PM) Just another game team not prepared to play. Seems to be a theme.
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 02:51 PM) The 3 inning stint was a ejection for hitting someone. But the Sox have to let him walk them. That's when he gets in trouble. That was said about Kluber a couple of weeks back. The hitting coach was to preach this but maybe the Sox need to get guys that can actually do this. The lack of making any pitcher work is the biggest issue with this team.
  22. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Apr 29, 2015 -> 02:06 PM) I have to admit I don't understand the "team looks lifeless" comments. Is it because they aren't hitting? What do you want them to do exactly? We just saw them in a brawl a few days ago where several of our guys went a little overboard. I am very frustrated with how they're playing too but I don't get that complaint. Bad at bats and consistently going down in order make you look lifeless. There are many times where a pitcher throws 8 or 9 pitches to get through an inning. Yet another tipping of the cap ala Tommy Millone.
  23. Abreu should get maybe 50% of the games at first. The White Sox defense is terrible and the one guy known for defense is the DH. Shifts beat White Sox hitters because very few are good hitters. They do not take pitches and pitchers let them get themselves out. That is the case for many years and is a product of a low OBP. They hit pitchers pitches and do not adjust. Pitchers know how to get them out and the White Sox oblige. This has been the story for a few years now.
  24. Why did this game not start at like 11:00? Play the game and get the hell out of there.
