  1. QUOTE (Dunt @ Mar 12, 2015 -> 05:53 PM) They just said someone in the Cubs organization compared Schwarber to Babe Rutg on the Score. The Cubs hype train is real folks. I heard that as well.
  2. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 8, 2015 -> 07:47 PM) Baez 0-8 with 4 Ks so far this spring. He is just working on things.
  3. The service was great.
  4. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 3, 2015 -> 08:50 PM) Doug McDermott sucks. Threekola does not. Maybe it was rust but man did he look overmatched. Moore is going to get ole Doug's minutes

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Mar 3, 2015 -> 07:41 AM) House of Cards is awesome. Enough said. Watched S3E1, curious as to how it plays out.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 24, 2015 -> 03:27 PM) I am two episodes in, and I am hooked. The first scene of the show was enough for me. E4 was pretty good a little far fetched but it is a good watch and the twists get ya.
  7. Joe Maddon is the second coming of Jesus Christ and I am only half joking.
  8. The hawks trade sounds about as good as the Regin trade from last year. I may be hockey stupid but the fact he Blackhawks have gone five years now without a second line center continues to mystify me.
  9. Got four upper deck behind firstbase, pretty high up for opening day. When I went in there were 65 tickets available for opening day.
  10. So the decision to treat the injury by sitting out last year did nothing but waste six months of basketball for the Bulls.

I hope Farmersonly.com is now sponsoring the bachelor
  12. The One Dog Lance Johnson. Made the folks remember the GO GO White Sox in the closing of the Baseball Palace of the world in bar none the greatest season in White Sox history. One Dog ran, Thiggy closed 57 winners, the Big Man joined the band and the rest is, as we like to say, history.
  13. I still do not get that this is such a media topic in football but in hockey it does not seem to be that big of a deal.
  14. Harrelson picked him up in a Rule 5 draft so obviously every other GM was well aware of the the outstanding potential he had was going to produce. I like Hawk but that interview on the radio was painful he added nothing to the conversation and the reception was bad. I am not certain if in 100 years we will be talking about Abreu or Garcia as the person who changed the course of White Sox history.
  15. Their experiences and joy cannot be removed because LLB says so.
  16. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 12, 2015 -> 12:00 PM) Where did you get this information from? Playing against them. EP has two leagues EPAA and EPBC. Demographics of each are vastly different.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 12, 2015 -> 10:37 AM) Wasn't KW supposed to issue a statement about the situation sometime this week? What happened? Perhaps the team is gathering more evidence...and there might be some legal repercussions as well, vis a vis the White Sox, the RBI program, etc. He did yesterday it was as stupid and pointless as anyone. At least Rahm's dumb comments come because he is running for mayor and it is election season.
  18. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Feb 11, 2015 -> 10:57 PM) It's not so cut and dry. The kids themselves did not cheat. The purpose of LLB is a neighborhood league with neighborhood teams. The kids on true LLB teams play in a league and know one anther. There were kids on this team that never played a single game for JRW little league except for the state tourneys. I am not naive to think every team bends these rules but as Mark Mulder from South Holland pointed out, JRW has been doing this for years, finally some folks said enough is enough. This was not one or two kids a majority of that team lived outside her boundary and the city of Chicago.
  19. QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 11, 2015 -> 04:13 PM) EP's program is largely white kids. I'm not sure where the misinformation is coming that these allegations came from a black team. I am not surprised one bit that EPA is the program that shed light on it. EPAA, his league is 50% black if not more. BTW he is married to a black woman so I am not certain that he could be called a racist toward the black community nor could EPAA The adjoining leagues who confirmed the mapping are all black as well.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 11, 2015 -> 02:26 PM) I am sure it is up on the CBS/Score website podcast. I mean, it was stunning how poorly informed the both of them were. It was like they saw "JRW has title taken away" and just said OMG LITTLE LEAGUE HATES BLACK PEOPLE And the kids are being used as props. Just terrible Business as usual with those two, you expect anything different? The more this goes on the worse they will look.....if that is even possible. The leagues that threw them under the bus are all black. This was the last thing LLB wanted to do but when the three other leagues took issue, it was game over.
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Feb 11, 2015 -> 11:31 AM) http://www.sbnation.com/mlb/2015/2/11/8018...e-title-vacated And it might not have even happened (getting reported) if not for that 43-2 disgraceful beating they (meaning their coaches) put on another team in their own area. What comes around goes around. Feel sorry for that LV team more than anything. Also, it seems they're still selling the t-shirts/merchandise online. Feel sorry or the district team, the sectional team, the state team, and the regaionl team they beat. JRW has been doing this for years and will continue to do so. The parents of the actual in-house JRW players that are screwed over by this do not seem to care which is the really sad part. The boundary map was not the real issue although it was what did them it, the problem was the parades in the suburbs where the kids actually lived who used phony addresses in the JRW boundary that LLB did not look into. 3 players actually lived in the JRW league.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 10, 2015 -> 03:00 PM) McNeil to co-host a morning show on 97.1 The Drive. How long until his first sabbatical? Interesting choice, going away from sports. Could be a good job as it is probably easier than have to talk spots for four hours.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 10, 2015 -> 11:04 AM) Oh come on, there's no way Boston or the Cardinals could top Wood, Castillo and mid-level prospects The cubs issue will be the holes left after the youth is traded. The Cardinals and Red Sox have youth to trade with a good MLB team. The cubs need to hit on all of these guys for their rebuild to work.
  24. So the Chicago radio scene has the cub coming in second in the James Shields sweepstakes and the cubs getting Hammels for a couple of good not top 100 prospects.
