Wow that was a take notice series there. A class of rookie pitchers schooling the Ron Washington all-star ensemble. -

It is storming in Lincoln Park, how is it at the game? The damn stealing...although it worked last night. Taking Quintana out in LA but leaving him in today does not make sense. -
KW whining about (OK bringing up) attendance again

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 02:40 PM) For four seats, that is what it was with the code. $38.92 to be exact. I think the three of us agree that if you want a game to be affordable you can get it to be. There is plenty of free parking if you know where to look. There are tickets available if you know where to look. Folks want to park close, get good seats and eat and drink until their heart's content and spend $12 total. -

QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 01:50 PM) To be honest, there's no reason to buy tix early. You could have gone for 1/2 price($20 each lower level) with a code, and that makes the other costs more bearable. Was not complaining just laying out actual numbers instead of saying how expensive it is. You can make it work if you really want to. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 05:36 PM) Also if you bought the kids hats and/or tshirts like some fans prolly do, that would skyrocket your costs as well. 200 for 3 people; a movie would be 30 bucks plus food/drink and a minor league game would be 24 bucks plus food, drinks. Have fun, though. 200 bucks isn't so bad, but let's say this was 15 years ago. A fan could go to 10 games a year and be able to afford it easily. The parking costs are really outrageous IMO. Baseball should be ashamed of itself. I mean, give me a f***ing break. The s*** you buy at a movie is disgusting and more overpriced than a ball game. -

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 02:40 PM) Man, the crowd looks thin today I bet a good number of folks stayed away. It is unhealthy warm out there today. -

The thing with Flowers is that if he is doing the job at calling the game he is fine. -
QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 3, 2012 -> 10:10 PM) Cashner hurt again strained lat, I guess the injury concern is the issue there. Man that guy has power stuff though.

QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 09:31 AM) You have to know Price before you can complete Sale. Can I write check?

QUOTE (Paulie4Pres @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 10:02 PM) Attendance is low because it's still TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE. I'm sorry, but I'm not dropping $300 to take my family to a baseball game... I am going tomorrow wit my two kids. Ticket, lower deck box but could easily have gotten $24 upper deck but went with some nice $40 seats down the line total cost $120 Prepaid parking pass $24 up to $144 Will tailgate and BBQ in parking lot. Would do this at home so no cost there. Will buy two beers, two big sodas and budget myself to spending $50 in the park That is $200. $120 in April, $24 last month for the parking and $50 tomorrow. Now if I am going to get loaded with my family and eat like vikings I am sure I could get to $300 easily. -

QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 08:19 PM) ISFA owns the lots. And btw, the padres own a stake in thier RSN(worth 200 million) I do not think they do. I think Jerry owns a good amount of property more than just the lots around the park. Same thing Wirtz did around the Stadium. Wirtz bought up west side Jerry south side. There was a time in the 80's when Jerry was buying up space that the cubs could have been doing in Wrigleyville and they did not. -
The SCORE had PECOTA ratings talk yesterday. Sox were at 75 % for the playoffs while the Tigers and Indians were at 30%. If the White Sox can handle the Royals and Twins in the second half the playoffs are very possible.

Wonder what the status is on Hossa and how this impacts this move. -
QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Jul 2, 2012 -> 12:11 PM) I usually take the train to the games but tomorrow will be driving from the Schaumburg area. Game is at 7 10 so if anyone could give me an info what a good time to leave would be and if there is a certain route better to avoid traffic etc. would be much appreciated. Traffic seemed lite this morning driving in from the south so maybe you will get a weekend type commute down 290. The holiday out of town going folks should not affect you.

How did Septimo look?

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 25, 2012 -> 06:45 PM) Call Les Grobstein's show and tell him the AL is way better and get ready for some fireworks. Ask him about Animal Stories and Tommy Edwards first.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 29, 2012 -> 01:30 PM) And Axelrod has even less. I agree but if Axelrod is doing the job he will keep it then Sale will be shutdown for a few starts when Danks gets back as will Quintana if he is going well and then when they are all back neither Humber or Axelrod will have a job.

The White Sox get consistently burned by former players (Olivo, Harrell, Thome, etc.) would be nice for a Sox player other than Rios to turn the table as they never seem to do so.
