  1. The pen is being forced to work hard innings again this year like last and I think it took its toll. The starters will work hard as well as the hitting is brutal.
  2. Guillen screwed up using Thorton and Jenks Wednesday when the Sox were losing. He has done nothing right this year.
  3. Blew it almost as quickly as last night. Wow stealing bases, that is novel.
  4. There is your clutch hit. How did Konerko almost not make it home. Pitcher in trouble. Vizquel swings first f***ing pitch. There is no joy with this team.
  5. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 9, 2010 -> 08:45 PM) He was safe. Maybe but Lirano walks a guy and the next guy pops up the first pitch and now 3-0 this team has no baseball IQ at all
  6. 4 errors in 4 games that defense has improved as one statue in RF was replaced by another and Ramirez shows why he sucks well at least this thing will be over early.
  7. I am glad this team works on nothing in the spring.
  8. These were the type of hits Guillen wants yet the Sox do not take the approach. Teams are just getting the bat on the ball, the Sox overswing. Here comes a 5-1 Twin victory.
  9. Sox refuse to let a pitcher get himself in trouble with no plan at the plate at all. Should have had the starter out after 5 in all four games. I am already souring on this team.
  10. This team has not changed one bit from last year. Poor execution and zero fundamental baseball.
  11. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 11:13 PM) Come on, it's like some of you guys have never experienced a baseball season before. We have played less than 2% of the games so far. I agree that it is only three games but the bullpen has blown two games and the Sox are struggling to get hits........sound familiar.
  12. Sox have 14 hits in 29 innings. The first game was a result of great pitching. It is suppossed to be nice all weekend for the Twins. Should see Vizquel or Nix tomorrow at least.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 11:06 PM) Well, the bunt worked perfectly for Cleveland cause they have some professional hitters who CAME THROUGH in the clutch. Put the blame where it lies: Paulie and Jones couldn't get a f***ing bloop hit to win it. Shorten your swing and make contact. The Twins make a living off of it. Konerko and Jones do not get paid to do this. Twins are about to take 3 of 4 in anaheim
  14. So Ozzie has his team to manage and the only manging has been to bunt the best hitter......what exactly did he want and what is he going to do with it.
  15. Quentin does not look to be anything all that much better than Dye in right
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:57 PM) It would be great if we used our speed and played good defense. That's why we're going to lose this game. Yep Sox have 14 hits in 28 innings
  17. Speed and defense. That is how to get a big hit.
  18. I will give this to the Indians they will lay off good pitches.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 10:52 PM) Do you actually think the Indians have more speed than the Sox? No but if that is what the mantra of the team is they better have it....Quintin does not get to the ball Choo did.
  20. Ah speed and defense......neither of which the Sox have the necessary amount of
  21. The thing this team does not seem any different from last year. The ball goes foul. Here comes the steal...
  22. Who is left in the pen? Linebrink and Pena?
