  1. Did I hear correctly that Moncada wears protection on his foot but did not have it on when he fouled the pitch off. Was he is too lazy to put on the protective covering? That's a nice win. Hopefully they can move forward with that approach and do some positive things. Foster is not a pen option yet I think Tony really believes in him because he reminds him if the 90s bullpen arm like a Joe Borowski or Rod Beck.
  2. Anderson is a nice player and a guy that fans fall in love with that the team can trot out there to get fans excited for. They will not move him from SS. The reality is for a winning team he is neither a SS and more importantly not leadoff a hitter. He refuses to have any patience at the plate or learn situational hitting. Every year there is some sort of personal issue arising as well. Some he can control some he cannot. Personally I bat him 6th and move him to the OF.
  3. Home run to get the juices flowing then a whimpering to get back to the malaise.
  4. Welp, you can write this one off. Maybe Lance Lynn will yell at the clouds a little more.
  5. Robert had maybe one strike thrown to him and struck out. Why is Vaughn not on the DL. Whatever is ailing him is impacting him greatly. With Jimenez back give him a day or two. Oddly when he was healthy he was playing less. Ah the White Sox.
  6. We have won 3 of our last 7 5 of our last 13
  7. Kind of. I think in the two or nine hole or leadoff he has value but not as a run producer. Vaughn hitting singles in the two hole adds nothing as he doesn't walk much and has zero speed. I think you now move Vaughan down in the order to drive in runs that hey are looking at Pollock to do The Anderson-Vaughan-Robert opposite field single approach is not working.
  8. I was a huge fan of the trade. My point was that Hahn and Williams like spending on bullpens as much or more so than LaRussa. Kimbrel has shown this year that the second half of last year was probably not a fluke but the no pressure first half with the cubs was. I'm a big Pollock fan so it kind of worked out in my mind although I had hope for Madrigal.
  9. Hahn admitted that he and Williams agreed that Kimbrel was the best option last year ......that tells me everything I need to know. He also signed Jeff Keppinger to an overpriced deal again wasted money on utility players.
  10. If the White Sox were run like a modern day organization it would be Jirschele who brings with him the instilled philosophies of the organization learned during his time with the organization and metric planning. I am not certain there is an organizational philosophy or metric decision making in play and Hahn and him working in tandem to build is also probably not happening. I thought Larussa was a placeholder for this move and was ok with it. I felt LaRussa would be tolerable and potentially a successful bridge piece to move to point B......instead we moved from point A to point A -1. The inability of Hahn whether he wanted LaRussa or not to build a organization is what I see as failing. Maybe I should be looking more at Williams and Williams belief that prospects are not long term plans as to the reason why I view this organization as inept and baseball stupid compared to those organizations that are not consistently mired in mediocrity. Kenny Williams is Gar/Pax and Ted Phillips all rolled into one. The cubs liked Crane Kenny, so they moved him some place where he belongs. Full transparency, I was always in the camp that Dale Tallon built the Blackhawks, Stan was just allowed to sign Hossa to get them over the top and Theo while brilliant had a flawed approach to building an organization....although it is much better than the the White Sox plan which is no plan. As Hawk always said, a bad plan is better than no plan at all.
  11. I am all for firing Tony LaRussa but is this roster and organization really set up to win multiple championships? Tony is a failure but is he the only one? I view this organization as floundering. They hit on enough prospects to stay afloat because they play in the worst division in baseball. The fact that this organization cannot succeed in the AL Central is embarrassing. There is no large revenue team in this division yet the White Sox struggle to win 82 games in this division. The Indians and Twins are organizations that will do enough to succeed more times than not and the Royals and Tigers will have decent years. The White Sox could be the worst run of the five. Maybe Hahn did win the three big rebuild trades and if so, great, but he has done nothing to build upon that. He handed out contracts to unproven players that now look like terrible deals. He built a roster that has flaws and then placed a coaching staff around them that exasperated these flaws. Maybe Williams and JR are still running things and Hahn is just the mouthpiece. If so, nothing is changing. Maybe TLR is calling more shots in regard to player signings than we thought and if so makes Hahn even more irrelevant. Sadly I don't see anything changing. The carrot remains out there. I renewed a 20 game plan and after SF I began chasing it again. Now I foolishly walk away with it swinging on the stick for another week or two when I maybe think about them again. I personally watched Tanner Banks blow a huge lead earlier this season and if that was not bad enough I the first ever 8-5 triple play. All while watching a singles offense try and generate runs without walking or hitting any extra base hits. This organization is a shit show. But he injuries yes the injuries. They will happen and happen again the players they have invested in are injury prone. Moncada, Jimenez, Robert, Kopech and Anderson. Maybe Abreu has realized this and that is why he is ready to leave. Maybe he looks at this team and realized it is floundering and while he busts his ass day in and day, half the roster is told to take it easy and not really try to hard because you are injury prone. What an epic failure.
  12. The twins built a team similar to Cleveland. Almost specifically to beat the white sox. Lot of RHP.
  13. How long will this go on......this is really going to last all season isn't it and they will blame injuries.
  14. Welp the only offensive threat having an off night.
  15. Why can't Davis Martin get kopechs starts through the ASB. As stated earlier it's so f'ing simple to see this coaching staff needs to all go.
  16. 5 HR and 19 RBI He is the epitome of this team right now. Lot of sizzle with little steak. Yet he will bat leadoff with no other options sought. Played the best ball when he was out.
  17. Send Moncada down the guy doesn't even pretend to give a shit any more. He should bat 9th
