  1. Lynch, v. Jackson, torrey Smith and m. Bennett all rolling zero points for me right now.
  2. Why are so many third down routes in this offense short of the marker
  3. It just always seems like such a struggle for the bears to pick up first downs, and then the other team cruises down the field. Great goal line stop on third down there.
  4. Sure would be nice to finally see a bears team with a high powered offense.
  5. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 24, 2014 -> 09:38 PM) I got 4. Think the ones on Monday will probably just be the upper deck. I've never actually been to Wrigley as far as I can remember. Would that be worth it?
  6. Something something truth won't matter.
  7. Dr. Judy Melinek is not very happy with the way her statements were portrayed by the reporter. Forensic Sound Bites & Half-Truths
  8. Finally got in but it looks like it's sold out damn scalpers snatched up a ton
  9. "they're a bunch of heathens" was part of the rationale for Manifest Destiny.
  10. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Oct 23, 2014 -> 11:58 PM) So for a 'recent' example you have to go back to the 1500's? Ok. Religious conversion of American Indians well into the late 19th century wasn't exactly rosy. And I already brought up the LRA, which operates today. For that matter, you can go back to the late 20th century for the Protestant-Catholic fights in Ireland.
  11. Ebola just isn't spread all that easily. There were what, 48 people in close contact with the guy from Dallas, and only two people contracted it. They were medical professionals treating him directly. Not even the people he was sharing an apartment with contracted it. More people will die from the regular flu this winter than ebola in this country. There is no reason to freak out over it.
  12. "one of" still, pretty terrible.
  13. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 23, 2014 -> 01:34 PM) 99% of student athletes are, in fact, students first and won't have jobs in sports after they're done playing. yeah, fair point, that argument is more about the men's bb and football programs than say wrestling or swimming, but for all I know they could have similar issues.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 23, 2014 -> 01:25 PM) BS. If you get drummed out, what is the first thing you would put out on social media? THEY TRIED ME TO GET A FAKE CLASS AND I SAID NO SO THEY KICKED ME OUT... At that point everything gets blown up. That is the biggest risk to the entire set up. No coach/administration is that stupid. We're talking about a 20-year program here, so social media isn't relevant for a lot of it. Either way, it's just another glaring example of how much "student" there is in "student-athlete"
  15. It is the name morons use for Wendy Davis because she successfully but temporarily filibustered Texas's horrendous anti-abortion laws that shut down almost every clinic in the state
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 23, 2014 -> 01:16 PM) The same still applies. Just because someone suggests a class, doesn't mean you have to take it. Again, that is your own damned fault. When your coach/administration "suggests" a class and they have the power to drop you from the team and cost you your scholarship at any moment, it's not just a "suggestion"
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 23, 2014 -> 10:03 AM) If you are too f***ing lazy to take advantage of it, that is no one's fault but your own.
  18. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 23, 2014 -> 08:10 AM) Nations, cultures and religions go through periods of turmoil at different times. In the past few decades, a particularly focused and violent faction (or factions) developed within Islam, particularly in the Middle Eastern portions of their world, that is now all over the news for obvious reasons. That will have appeal for certain people - it attracts them. Seems pretty simple to me. As far as I know, at this point in time, there aren't any holy-war-touting sects within Christianity or Hinduism that have gotten much attention (if they exist at all). Judaism, some may contend, has been locked in a violent holy war for a long time now. But that's a two-way street. There's two-way Christian/Muslim violence in Africa. Lord's Resistance Army etc.
  19. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Oct 22, 2014 -> 06:04 PM) Right. I the last election stolen in Chicago right here on the tip of my tongue.........ummmmm.ahhhhhhh.....hmmmmmmmm.....let me see......just a minute........oh yeah what's his name.......Daley..noooooo..........JFK.........noooooo. GMAFB..... How about Crook County? !
  20. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/who-is-marti...uleau-1.2807285 Who is Martin Couture-Rouleau?
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ Oct 22, 2014 -> 11:57 AM) Not knowing much about CA, I've always thought about what it might be like to live there. A big turn-off is that my impression is that not many of the metros in CA are at all walkable/easily navigated via public transit. One of the big things I've always wanted to have in a potential "dream destination" is the ability to liberate myself from the need to drive everywhere. the trick is to live as a recluse in a shack somewhere in the Sierra Nevadas.
